Chapter 2: There Was A Kidnapping At School...

The walk to school was long and silent one with Trevor smiling as if he won the Olympic gold medal that gave America the win, and me glaring at him. We get to the school building and we are almost 30 minutes late. We are yelled at, given our schedules (we have all the same classes, which is just GREAT), and told to go to class.

Nothing special happens during the day, so I will spare you the details. The last bell rings at 4:30, so we go to the park to start on our homework before Mom gets home. I finish before Trevor and pull out my phone to check the time.

"It's 6:45. We should be going," I said. He agrees and we start walking home. I should mention that we live in the northernmost parts of Maine, so it gets pretty dark at around 6 pm, so it's pretty much sunset.

We aren't even halfway home when I start feeling a bit nervous. Not just because it's dark out, but it feels like something is following me. I look back just to be sure, and see a strange figure standing in the shadows of a house without its lights on. I turn on my phone light and see a man dressed in a black trench coat, black dress pants, and a white button-down shirt that is sloppily tucked in. Trevor taps my shoulder and I turn around to see two more of the same guy, but one is holding two syringes and the other is holding two small black sacks. We start running across the street, but the men chase us. We start to lose them as we split up and take different streets home. I see Travor jump into a neighbor's yard, but one of the men jumps after him. I see Trevor's screams as he is knocked unconscious by the stuff in the syringe. I start booking it back home, but the other men jump out from behind a corner and tackle me to the ground.

"Let me go!" I yell. I keep on yelling it as they put the syringe into my arm. I start getting droopy, my eyelids feel heavy, and soon I am knocked out.
