MOUNT JUSTICE
January 5, 15:46 EST
All was silent in the Cave as most of the Team participated in the ever so fun, Homework Hour. You see, Nightwing decided that homework came before missions, assuming the Team had any missions on that day. Clare could understand Nightwing's reasoning, but it didn't necessarily mean she liked it.
As of now, Clare was trying to physics. The key word being trying. Physics and her didn't have the best relationship, but thank god Cassie went to Happy Harbor High with the red head. Clare was even more thankful to the fact that Cassie shared physics with her.
"Psst," Clare poked Cassie's shoulder, causing the blonde to glance over at her friend, "What'd you get for five?"
"Five?" Cassie glanced down at her paper, humming to herself, "46 kilometers at 38 degrees North of East,"
Clare glanced down at my paper, a frown appearing on her lips. She definitely did not get that. She got 46 kilometers right, but the degrees, not so much.
Snagging Cassie's paper, Clare glanced down at her work, trying to figure out where she went wrong. All the vectors she drew were drawn correctly and her calculations looked good. So where did she go wrong?
"Cassie," Clare groaned, handing the blonde her paper back, "Where did I go wrong?"
"Here," She held her hand out, "Let me see your work," Clare passed her the paper. Tapping her pencil against her book, Clare waited patiently as Cassie studied her paper, trying to find her error, "Ah ha!" She exclaimed shortly after. Passing Clare's paper back, she pointed out the red head's error, "You used the inverse of cosine instead of the inverse of tangent to find the angle," She explained and Clare just stared at her, even more confused than before.
"Come again?" Clare stared blankly at her paper, attempting to interpret what the blonde was saying.
Cassie chuckled, "Cosine is adjacent over hypotenuse and tangent is opposite over adjacent,"
"Ah," Clare slowly nodded my head, sort of understanding what she was talking about. Clare picked up her calculator and plugged in the proper numbers. This time, she got the right answer, "Thanks Cass," Clare smiled over at her blonde friend.
"No problem," Cassie smiled back, returning to her work.
The rest of homework hour went by relatively fast. Thanks to Cassie, Clare understood physics a bit better.
"Bumblebee, Wondegirl, Silver, Batgirl, and Blue Beetle. Report for mission briefing," Nightwing's voice echoed over the Cave's P.A system.
The two girls shared a look before packing up their stuff. Quickly shoving everything into her backpack, Clare dropped it on the couch and made her way towards the Mission Room.
"What do you think Nightwing has in store for us?" Jaime asked, falling in step next to Cassie.
Clare shrugged, "Dunno."
When the trio entered into the Mission Room, Batgirl and Bumblebee were already there, waiting for their comrades to arrive. As soon as everyone was lined up next, Nightwing began his explanation.
"This is Bibbo," A screen with a an elderly, blonde man appeared, "He owns a small café in Metropolis called Bibbo's," The screen shifted to show the café, "Readings show that this isn't the real Bibbo but instead a Krolotean," Nightwing shifted his gaze to Karen and Jaime, "You two will be traveling to Metropolis to apprehend the Krolotean. You two are dismissed."
"On it," Karen nodded, turning to race off with Jaime.
"Wait," Nightwing called out as Jaime's armor appeared, "Stay in your civvies," The two nodded before Jaime's armor disappeared and they stepped into the zeta.
"As for you three," Nightwing turned towards Cassie, Barbara and Clare, "You will be headed to New York City," Bibbo's disappeared off the screen and was replaced with an elderly woman, "The owner of Aleta's Flower Shop is also suspected of being abducted and replaced by a Krolotean. Your mission is also to apprehend the Krolotean. Stay in civvies and avoid suspicion."
NEW YORK CITY
January 5, 18:04 EST
"Are we there yet?" Clare mumbled, pulling her navy blue winter jacket tighter around hersel. New York City in the middle of winter, though beautiful, was freezing cold, something of which the red headed teen didn't particularly enjoy.
From beside Clare, Barbara chuckled, "For the last time Clare, no we are not there yet."
Clare huffed, glaring at the faint cloud that exited her mouth. If her breath was visible, Clare knew it was too cold.
"Where are we going again?" Cassie piped up from the other side of Clare.
"Aleta's Flower Shop," Barbara sighed, clearly getting annoyed with the two girls, "Nightwing believes that Aleta has been replaced."
"Speaking of Nightwing," Clare smirked, sharing a glance with Cassie, "When're you two gonna get together?" Barbara flushed, though it was barely visible against her already red face, which caused her two companions to chuckle.
With a quick glare, she shut them both up, "We're not going to get together." She denied, eyes focused on the path ahead.
"Oh please!" Cassie exclaimed, rolling her blue eyes, "You guys can barely keep your eyes off each other when you're in the same room!"
"I have no idea as to what you're talking about," Barbara pouted slightly, attempting to end the conversation. She suddenly stopped, causing Clare to crash into her. Clare was about to comment on the older red head's spontaneous stop, but Barbara spoke up first, "We're here," She extended a slender finger, pointing at the quaint brick building in front of the trio.
Clare's eyes roamed over the building. She could barely see through the windows because row after row of beautiful, brightly colored flowers littered the shelves as well as various knick knack items which were set on display. To be quite honest, this was the perfect place for a Krolotean to hide out.
"Remember," Barbara broke the silence, causing Clare to glance up at her, "Act natural."
"Please," Clare scoffed, sly grin stretching across her face, "I'm as natural as one gets!" Barbara rolled her eyes as Cassie giggled.
Barbara stepped forward and pushed open the door, holding it open for Cassie and Clare. A little bell tinkled, announcing the trio's arrival. From behind the counter, an elderly woman glanced up, smiling warmly at the newcomer's. Barbara returned the smile as the three filed into the shop.
"And how can I help yo-" The woman began kindly, only for her to trail off as she further inspected the new arrivals. Her elderly face quickly contorted into one of fear and before Clare and the other's had time to react, she darted off.
Spinning on her heel, the woman dashed off into the backroom, leaving the three staring at her retreating form until they reacted. Dashing off after her, Clare leapt over the counter and dashed into the backroom.
"We can't let the Krolotean get away!" Barbara shouted, narrowly avoiding a plant thrown her way.
"Got it!" Cassie and Clare exclaimed.
The two quickly leapt into the air, changing their mode of traveling into flight. The duo left their powerless friend in the dust as the sped off after the Krolotean, who was much faster than the three had anticipated.
Cassied pulled out her lasso from her jacket pocket and threw it at the Krolotean. It easily wrapped around the waist of the disguise. As soon as Cassie yanked back on the lasso, the disguise broke into two pieces, with the Krolotean's feet wiggling out the bottom of the torso.
Clare stared down at the wiggling legs, face contorting into one of disgust as the Krolotean continued to wiggle around. Cassie also floated next to her friend, staring at the creature curiously until Barbara arrived.
"Don't just float there!" She snapped, racing forward, "We need to get the Krolotean!"
"Right, right," Clare muttered, flying forward as the Krolotean wiggled its way out of the contraption. It screeched at the three heroes before it darted off, ducking into a hole too small for any person to get into.
Cassie flew ahead, smashing a decent sized opening around the hole. Just as Cassie was about to snag the Krolotean, it leapt into a ship. The blonda Amazonian had barely enough time to jump out of the way as the ship roared to life, a spout of fire leaving its exhaust as it flew off into the night.
"Great," Barbara muttered, watching the speck disappear.
"What now?" Cassie asked, glancing between Barbara and Clare.
Barbara sighed, running a hand through her red locks, "Hopefully Bee and Blue had better luck than we did."
MOUNT JUSTICE
January 5, 19:34 EST
Nightwing paced back and forth in front. He had a disgruntled look on his face as he tried to find the right thing to say, "How?" He spun on his heel, turning to face the heroes lined up in front of him, "How could you guys let the Kroloteans get away?"
"Hey," Barbara snapped lightly, glaring softly at Nightwing, "In our defense, those guys are slippery little fuckers."
Nightwing smiled tenderly at Barbara before shaking his head, "Fine," He chuckled lightly, "You guys are dismissed."
"He so likes you," Clare chuckled, elbowing Barbara in the side as they exited the mission room.
She rolled her eyes, a light blush spreading across her cheeks, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh come on!" Cassie exclaimed, chuckling, "It's so obvious!"
"Will you two stop trying to play matchmaker?" Barbara laughed, glancing at Cassie and Clare.
Clare and Cassie shared a smile before simultaneously chirping, "Nope!"
Giggling, Clare wrapped an arm around Barbara's waist, "Us red-heads gotta stick together," She smiled up at the older red head.
"It's good to know you have my back, Clare," Barbara laughed, wrapping her arm around the girl's shoulder.
"Hey," Cassie pouted from the other side of Barbara, "What about me?"
"You too, Cass," Barbara laughed, wrapping her other arm around Cassie's shoulder.
"Come on Clare!" Cassie pouted, giving Clare the puppy dog eyes, "Spar with me!" She bounced up and down in front of the red head.
Clare gave Cassie a pointed glare, arms folded across her chest, "A) puppy dog eyes don't work on me and B) the last time we sparred, you left a huge bruise on my arm that lasted a week!"
"I promise I'll be gentle this time," Cassie pleaded, still giving her friend the puppy dog eyes.
"No," Clare firmly stated, trying my best to ignore Cassie's puppy dog look. As much as Clare hated to admit it, Cassie's puppy dog eyes were starting to get to her.
"Clare," Cassie pouted, lip trembling comically, "Please?"
Clare pinched my nose in annoyance, an annoyed sigh escaping her lips, "Fine," Clare glared over at her blonde friend, "But one more bruise and I'll shock you into next week."
Cassie squealed, grabbing Clare by her arm and flying off towards the training room.
Cassie's fist came flying at Clare and she grabbed it, flipping the blonde over her shoulder. Instead of crashing on the ground, she stopped herself, slightly hovering in the air. The duo had both agreed that their flying capabilities would be the only abilities allowed.
She flew at me and Clare dove out of the way. Clare quickly popped back up and flew towards the blonde, aiming a punch at her face. She threw her arms up to block herself. Clare winced slightly as her fist made contact with the other girl's forearm. After all, Cassie was part Amazonian.
"Come on Clare," The Amazonian taunted, "Is that all you got?"
Instead of acknowledging Cassie's taunt, Clare spun around, a roundhouse kicked aimed exactly at Cassie. She stepped backwards, grabbing Clare's leg and stopping her kick. She twisted the red head's leg and pushed her forward, knocking Clare off balance. Clare landed on the ground, panting.
"You can do better," Cassie smirked down at her friend, walking towards her. As soon as she was standing above Clare, she spun around, swiping her leg out. Cassie gasped as her feet were swept out from underneath her, causing her to go crashing to the ground.
Clare climbed to her feet, flashing Cassie a small smirk, "Can't let your guard down Cass," From her position on the ground, Cassie rolled her eye. Clare laughed and extended her hand out to the blonde. She accepted it, but instead of hoisting herself up, Cassie pulled Clare down to the ground. Flipping on top of the red head, Cassie quickly pinned her down.
"You should listen to your own advice," Cassie chuckled as Clare struggled in her grip.
Clare pouted up at her, "No fair," She quit struggling, "You're using your strength."
She opened her mouth to respond when Jaime and Robin walked in, and no too quietly either.
"What're you two doing?" Jaime asked. Cassie glanced up, catching Jaime's gaze. As soon as their eyes locked, Cassie reverted her gaze to the ground, flushing.
"Sparring," Clare replied. Using Cassie's momentarily distractedness, Clare pushed her off, "Ever heard of it?"
Jaime rolled his eyes, chuckling, "Ha ha ha."
Clare beamed over at him, making her way towards the bench, "What're you two doing here?" She questioned, taking a seat on the bench. She reached down, picking up her water bottle before swiftly taking a swig of it. Clare passed Cassie a water bottle as the Amazon sat on the bench.
"You two disappeared after the mission debriefing," Robin replied, gaze lingering on Clare as she ran her hand through her red locks. Her eyes flickered up, catching Robin's gaze. A flush immediately crept up the Boy Wonder's cheeks as he glanced away.
"I wanted to spar," Cassie explained, wiping her forehead with a towel, "Problem?"
"No," Robin crossed his arms, glancing over at Cassie, "Of course not."
"It took you," Clare glanced up at the clock, "An hour to realize we disappeared?"
"Yea, well…" Robin rubbed the back of his neck, trailing off as he tried to find the right words to say.
Jaime spoke up, picking up where Robin left off, "Nightwing and Barbara are busy making sex eyes at each other," Clare chuckled slightly as Jaime shivered.
"Don't they always?" Cassie laughed.
"It's even worse in the Batcave," Robin grumbled, taking a seat on the bench next to Clare.
Clare grinned over at him, "You just can't escape it can you?"
"Poor Robbie Poo," Cassie pouted before chuckling. Behind his glasses, Robin rolled his eyes.
"Well," Clare stood up, throwing a towel around her neck, "I'm gonna go shower."
MOUNT JUSTICE
January 6, 18:35 EST
"For the last time Jaime," Cassie huffed, "You can't play Spanish words!"
"Por que?" Jaime grumbled. He reached across the board and grabbed the pieces he played. Setting them back in his pile, he crossed his arms and glared at the little wood blocks, "They're still words," He grumbled, grabbing two blocks and placing them on the board, making the word cat, which earned him a grand total of 3 points.
Clare shrugged, "You do have a point Jaime," She reached across the table, placing her tiles down and using Jaime's 'cat' to spell out the word cataract, "But rules are rules," Clare glanced over at Robin, who was the score keeper, with a triumphant smirk on her face, "I believe that's 16 points for me."
"16?" He quirked his brow, "Are you sure about that?"
Clare pointed to her tiles, "8 points for the actual word plus the r is on a double word space."
"Alright," Robin chuckled, writing down Clare's score.
"Who even picked this game?" Jaime huffed, clearly not enjoying the little game of Scrabble.
"Robin," Cassie chirped, taking her turn.
"Why am I not surprised hermano," Jaime muttered, glancing at Robin, "You always win!"
"Robin, Wonder Girl, Superboy, Miss Martian, Silver, and Lagoon Boy. Report to the Mission Room."
"Guess that ends this game," Clare grumbled, standing up. Working together, the four teens quickly packed the game up before saying goodbye to Jaime and running off towards the Mission Room.
"Lucky ducks," Clare heard Jaime mutter as he walked off to who knows where.
"Do you have any idea what's going on, Rob?" Clare whispered to Robin, glancing around at the various Justice League members. She spotted Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, and a couple others including her own mentor, Black Lightning.
Robin shrugged, also taking in the various League members, "Not a clue."
"Good," Nightwing turned to the new arrivals as they walked in, "Now that you're all here, we can begin."
Batman stepped forward and a screen with a picture of a volcanic island popped up, "This is Melina Island."
"The Kroloteans have built their main base here on this island," Nightwing added.
Batman nodded at him before continuing, "This will be primarily a recon mission."
SOUTH PACIFIC
January6, 20:57 HAST
"Nightwing to Delta Squad," Nightwing's voice rang in Silver's ear, "Enemy is attempting to escape, request backup."
"That's our cue," Superman said. He quickly used his laser vision to cut a hole in the side of the mountain to fly through and at the same time, successfully destroying a mech.
Following Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl, Black Lightning and Silver flew in.
"Nice aim," Aquaman complimented Superman as he landed.
"X-ray vision," Superman shrugged with a small smile, "I cheat."
"Superman!" Superboy exclaimed, gesturing to the side at some mechs, "Triple combo over here,"
Superman nodded and grabbed Superboy, launching him towards a mech. Silver watched in awe as Superboy destroyed not only three mechs, but four.
"Silver!" A voice shouted. Silver snapped back into focus and just barely managed to flip out of the way of a laser blast, "Gotta keep your head in the game kid," Black Lightning chastised, landing next to his protégé.
"R-right," The girl nodded at her mentor, "Won't happen again,"
Silver flew up in the air, dodging lasers headed her way before landing on top of a mech. She charged up her hand before pressing it to the mech, effectively shorting it out. The Kroloteans inside screeched as the scrambled out of the smoking machine.
Silver leapt off the mech and landed back next to her mentor, "Nice one," He smiled at the young red head. Silver returned the smile before racing off.
Skidding on the ground, she ducked under a laser and swept the feet out from underneath a guard. Wrapping her hand around his leg, Silver quickly tazed the guard, knocking him out. Silver whirled around as another guard charged towards her, but a golden lasso wrapped around his torso and sent him flying into another guard. She smiled my thanks up at Wonder Girl before spinning on her heel.
The red head charged at a guard, hopping side to side to avoid lasers as they were shot at her Once Silver got close to him, he spun on his heel and raced towards his ship. She paused momentarily, wondering what had caused him to flee, before racing after him as Wonder Girl and Lagoon Boy raced besides her
"They're getting away!" Wonder Girl shouted.
Lagoon Boy puffed up and sped up, "We'll stop them!"
"Negatory," Nightwing snapped in their ears, stopping the three in their tracks, "We have a bomb in here. Alien in origin," Wonder Girl and Silver shared a look as their mentors approached the proteges, "I cannot disarm it. All squads evacuate to Bio-Ship. Now."
"You heard Nightwing!" Batman shouted from above on the cat walk, "Move!" Taking off, Silver flew by her mentor as they raced to leave the base. They flew behind Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl as they picked up Aquaman and Lagoon Boy. The heroes exited the through the same hole they entered and flew over to the Bio-Ship. The hatch opened upon recognition, allowing them all access as Silver walked in.
"Neptune's Beard," Lagoon Boy said from the front of the Bio-Ship. Silver walked up beside him to see what he was talking about. Her jaw dropped. At the helm was a Krolotean with another one standing beside it.
"Hello Megan," One Krolotean said, sounding suspiciously like Miss Martian. Hitting itself on the forehead, Silver watched curiously as the Kroloteans changed and morphed back into the Martians, "Knew we forgot something."
Closing her jaw, Silver shared a look with Lagoon Boy, "That was odd."
"You said it chum," He agreed, glancing back at his girlfriend.
Batman swept up to Martian Manhunter, not even fazed by the fact they were just Kroloteans, before he spoke, "Did you get it?" Manhunter nodded before handing over a drive, "Well done Alpha squad."
More seats popped up as Miss Martian said, "Find a seat, it's time to go," Everyone hurried to a seat except for a select few. Silver being one of the select few.
Standing by her mentor, Silver watched as Miss Martian prepped the Bio-Ship for takeoff.
"Wait," Superboy exclaimed, looking around frantically, "Where's Superman!?"
"We have to go," Nightwing turned to Miss Martian, "Get us out of here."
"But Superman!" Superboy protested.
As the Bio-Ship took off, Superboy and Nightwing continued to argue.
"He's indestructible! He'll be fine," Nightwing placed his hand on Superboy's shoulder before sitting down. Grumbling, Superboy stood off to the side.
The island erupted behind the Bio-Ship and a few small tremors hit the ship, slightly rocking her and the people inside.
Silver felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up see Black Lightning looking down at her, "It'd be safer if you sit, Clare," She nodded her head and walked towards the empty seat next to Robin.
Silver had just barely sat down before a large tremor hit the Bio-Ship. Seeing as the red head had just sat down, she wasn't strapped in. As the Bio-Ship continued to rock back and forth, Silver found herself knocked to the side, right into Robin's lap.
Silver let out a small shriek, instantly trying to right herself and climb off the Boy Wonder's lap. A large flush spread across the girl's cheeks as Robin's arms wrapped around her protectively as more tremors rocked the Bio-Ship. Silver could hear banging in the back as the people who weren't seated were jostled around while Miss Martian struggled to gain control of the Bio-Ship.
To avoid the blush Silver could definitely feel on her cheeks, she buried her head in the crook of Robin's neck as the Bio-Ship continued to shake. The longer Silver was in Robin's lap, the more embarrassed the girl felt. Her heart rate had picked up and she was pretty positive Robin could hear it.
Robin, unbeknownst to Silver, was having the same reaction. A small flush had settled on his face as he attempted to stare emotionlessly out the front of the Bio-Ship. One look at the smirk Nightwing was giving him and the flush on his face increased as his emotionless demeanor disappeared.
A few minutes later, much to Silver's relief, the tremors stopped and the Bio-Ship was once again sailing smoothly.
Smiling shyly, Silver sat up a bit. She made eye contact with Robin, but quickly looked away as her blush increased, "I-I should probably…" She pointed to the seat next to him and he shook his head.
"R-right," He stuttered, a new wave of heat flaring up. Silver went to move, but Robin hadn't moved his arms.
"Uh… Robin," He looked down at the girl, "You can let go of me."
Robin's arms immediately moved as he stared anyone but at the red head. Clearing his throat, he muttered, "S-sorry, Silver."
Silver nodded her acknowledgement before quickly climbing off his lap. As she strapped herself in, she noticed Batgirl smirking at her. Silver's already red face became even redder as she maturely stuck her tongue out at her fellow red head. Rolling her eyes, Batgirl faced forward in her seat, not ready to drop what had happened. Silver frowned. She knew what Batgirl was going to tease her about.
Dragging her legs up to her chest, Silver stared blankly at the back of Nightwing's head as she urged her body to calm down. She could feel the heat radiating off her face as her mind continued to replay the events that had just unfolded.
To say Silver was embarrassed was an understatement. That was probably the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to the girl. Out of all the people in the Bio-Ship, it had to happen to her. And in her crushes lap no less!
Out of the corner of her eye, Silver peered at Robin. Being the bat he was, his face was unreadable as he stared out of the Bio-Ship. Silver sighed. She would give anything to know what Robin was thinking right now.
Was he irked that she fell into his lap? Did he think she was pathetic? Her mind raced with questions, all of which would not be answered.
"What just happened?" Wonder Girl's voice broke the girl out of her thoughts. Dropping her legs to the floor, Silver stared at her blonde friend.
Miss Martian looked at Wonder Girl, "The Kroloteans were clearly trying to build a new ship."
"They had to Angel Fish," Lagoon Boy spoke up, "It was the only way for them to leave Earth without their zeta platforms or their original ships."
"But," Silver spoke up, causing the trio to look at her, "Was Aqualad helping them to escape or luring them into a trap?"
"That's a good question," Miss Martian muttered with a sigh, turning her head to glance back out the front window.
Silver glanced at Miss Martian before turning back around in her chair, staring blankly at the vast ocean before her.
MOUNT JUSTICE
January 6, 23:45 EST
"I'll see you tomorrow at 4 o'clock sharp for training, Clare," Jefferson smiled down at Clare, placing his hand on her shoulder, "Sound good?"
"Sounds good," Clare smiled up at him. She turned around and began making her way out of the hangar.
"Clare!" Jefferson called out. Said girl glanced behind her at him, "Good job today," He smiled, "You made me proud," Clare beamed at him before walking away.
"So you and Robin huh?" A voice smirked from beside Clare, causing the girl to jump. She glanced over at her side to see Barbara smirking at her.
"You can't prove anything," Clare muttered, slowly picking up her pace.
Barbara rolled her eyes before easily matching Clare's pace, "So you can tease me about Nightwing but I can't tease you about Robin?"
"That's different," Clare glanced over at Barbara who had quirked her eyebrow at her friend. Clare sighed, "At least it's obvious he likes you back."
"Don't get yourself down, Clare," Barbara wrapped her arm around the younger red head's shoulder, "I'm pretty sure he likes you back."
Clare huffed, "How can you be so sure?"
Barbara chuckled, "It's like how you and Cassie say it's obvious Nightwing likes me-"
"He does," Clare interjected.
Barbara rolled her eyes and continued speaking, "Like I was saying, it's obvious he likes you too. How about you talk to him?"
"Talk to him?" Clare scoffed, turning to face the bat, "Please, Barbara," She glanced down at my boots, muttering, "I can't do that."
"And why not?" Barbara countered, crossing her arms.
"I…" Clare racked her mind for a reason. She couldn't come up with one, at least, not a legitimate one. Clare knew for a fact Barbara wouldn't accept 'because I can't' as an excuse.
"How about this," Barbara reasoned, sensing her friends unease, "I'll talk to him for you?"
Clare's head snapped up, eyes going wide, "No!" She exclaimed, rapidly shaking her head back and forth, "You can't do that!" If Barbara was the one to tell Robin of her feelings, then that'd just be bad! Robin would think of her as a coward for not doing it herself.
Barbara quirked her brow, curious about her friend's outburst, "And why not?"
"Because," Clare sighed, "I just… You can't!"
"Fine, fine," Barbara raised her hands in surrender, "But you should talk to him."
"I know," Clare muttered, wrapping her arms around herself, "Thanks Barbara," Clare glanced up at her, "It means a lot that you're trying to help me out," Clare meant every word she said. Barbara was a great friend and Clare was happy to have her as one.
"No problem Clare," Barbara squeezed her shoulder, "Like you said, us redheads gotta stick together."
