She awoke to voices. "I'll always love you Kikyou." Inu Yasha murmured into her silk black hair. "Yes, but what of my reincarnation, Kagome? Does she still mean anything to you? Will you always love her more than me?" Kikyou asked. "How many times do I have to tell you Kikyou? I love you and only you. I will never love Kagome. She means nothing to me. She is just a mere shadow of who you are. She will never amount to you. You are the only person who has ever saw me for who I am and I respect that." Inu Yasha whispered before he took her into a passionate kiss.
"If I am the only one then prove it -, bring me back to life – kill Kagome. As long as she lives in this world I can not." She ran through the woods again in search of what she didn't know. Then Sesshomaru appeared out of nowhere. She didn't know what to think any more. He leaned down and smirked, before raising a clawed hand and splitting her in two.

She awoke with a start, only to find that she was in a soft king sized bed. Her heart was pounding and she was in a cold sweat. The sheets were wet with her sweat and fear. She buried her face into the silk pillows and fell back asleep. The next time she woke up was because she felt the bed rock. She rolled over and moved away from the disturbance. She heard a soft growl and her eyes popped open. She turned over and looked up, only to see Sesshomaru…

"Get up wench." Sesshomaru said. Kagome slowly sat up trying to ignore the pain in her sprang arm. All attempts failed.
"You spend more time crying than most human women. It's absolutely abhorrent." Sesshomaru demanded. 'Why should I even care?' he asked himself. Kagome blinked back the rest of her tears one tear a day was enough.
"I'm not crying." She said. "So, you are calling This Sesshomaru a lair?" He asked yanking her around by her broken arm.
"Ow! Look Lord Sesshomaru, I'm a human my bones aren't as strong nor do they heal as fast as yours. You can't keep doing that." She yelled back at him. She wasn't normally so abrasive but she couldn't stand the pain. She couldn't tell right away, but she thought she saw his eyes flash red. In an instant he was on top of her and had her pinned by her throat.
"Please Sessh-," His fingers tightened. No one had ever spoken to him that way, in that tone – with so much disrespect. He noticed her face paling and purpling and his slender fingers let go.
"Did you see the tunnel?" He asked. She nodded gasping for air. Her eyes sagged trying to find peripherals.
"Then don't forget your place, next time you won't be so lucky. Do you understand how vulnerable you are wench? Are you entirely oblivious to the demons that want those shards kept warmly against the inside of your skirt." He snarled. Reality hit her that she was lucky to be founded by such a powerful youkia like Sesshomaru that was completely unconcerned with the jewel other than to destroy it before it becomes a hassle for him. She sat up as he left the room, slamming the door behind himself.

Kagome concentrated her miko energy on her arm trying to heal it. Successful. She fell over into the bed and slept. Why did her dreams have to be so painful? Maybe if she ran away no body would notice. Sesshomaru shouldn't care, since he cares nothing for humans. That's it then she'd run away and try to live this down. Until Naraku was defeated then she couldn't go home. She had to train to become powerful enough to be able to defeat Naraku without the Shikon No Tama. Kagome had awoken and planned everything out carefully. Being locked in a room all day had an advantage when you'd been to as many camps and after school programs as she had.

She waited until some time in the night when darkness was at its strongest. First she masked her scent and movement. She knew every demon within a ten mile radius could sense her, but with this masking spell she would be safe for a little while. She tied the silk sheets together and threw them over the balcony. They came just a few feet short of the ground. She threw on her bag and black hooded coat and started to shimmy down the sheets. Her plan was working perfectly, now all she needed to do was stay in the shadows, slip passed the guards unnoticed, and she was home free. She figured she'd stop and talk with Keade and visit her friends before she left out on her own. Getting past the guards was easy. Unfortunately almost as her foot hit the line of the forest, she heard a loud sound, something similar of a tornado siren from home. She looked back and bursting from the castle was Sesshomaru's taiyokia form. She'd gotten this far and she wasn't about to get caught. Or at least that's what she thought. She started to panic and instantly tried to calm herself. If she kept slipping on concentration they would all be able to see her.

"Ok just relax." Kagome said as she looked around for a place to hide in amongst the brush. She saw the hollowed out basin of a large tree concealed by leaves in the darkness and moved to hide in it quickly. It was quiet for a few seconds, none of the trees shook from the movement of his great form. Maybe he doesn't care… Almost as soon as she thought it he was on top of her, over her. She felt her heartbeat flutter and heard her breathing become labored. Sweat started to clam her skin as she closed her eyes concentrating entirely on the chant to keep up the mask. She heard him move on forward. And slowly came out of the trunk. She dusted off her clothes and kept to the shadows listening for his guards, she could hear him tearing through the forest. She kept pushing though in his wake, hoping in his anger he would lead her to the border.

She could hear the terrified screams of the villagers allowed to live on his land. Begging for him to leave, claiming to not have known anyone came to their village. She watched as he slung men around like chew toys and ran to his paw.
"Onegeii Sesshomaru-sama! Stop please! Don't do this!" He picked her up by hood of her jacket with his teeth. Tears erupted from her eyes and strolled down her face as he took her back to his castle swaying in the wind from the force of his walk. The closer he got the more human he became eventually dropping her from his mouth fifty feet down into his arms. He snatched her around by her arm leading her into his castle. He drug her past all of the servants, snatching her about, pushing her upstairs and into walls.
"What is wrong with you?" He yelled slapping her across the face. Kagome fell over on the bed with tears threatening to fall.
"Sess… Sesshomaru…" Kagome whispered. His youki was taking over and she was his target. No, he would not let that happen. If the youkia took over she would be dead soon. Her defiance was it's pet peeve though.
"Apparently you wish to have no freedom from me do you not?" Sesshomaru demanded. Kagome was to scared to say anything. "You want to leave me? Is that it?" He growled out. His voice boomed in the corners of the room. He grabbed her by her hair and pulled her to the door kicking and screaming. He snatched her up by her arm and led her down, down, down to the darkest area of the castle.
"Sesshomaru please I'm sorry, I- I," She was cut short by the breath rushing out of her lungs. He had slammed her against a wall in the darkness. It was cold, concrete and the air was thin and still around her. He shackled her hands to the wall and left, pretending all the while to never have heard her screams begging him to come back and release her.

After a few hours she managed to quit crying and for her eyes to focus in the darkness. She could make out other forms of what looked like humans in the stalls around her.
"H-hello?" She whispered strongly into the darkness.
"Who are you?" Someone replied back. They sounded like a female, but woman or youkia she knew no difference.
"K-Kagome," She sniffed, "You?"
"Chihiro," They replied.
"How long have you been down here Chihiro?" Kagome asked hesitantly almost unsure of whether or not she wanted to know. Would Sesshomaru really let her die down here?
"A few months I'm guessing." She spoke up, "I robbed Sesshomaru one night at a ball, pick-pocketed the wrong youkia. He's had me down here ever since. What'd you do?"
"I tried to leave…," Kagome whispered.
"Tough break. He probably won't leave you down here long though. Just when you think you're about to die he sends food or water, or he comes and takes you." Chihiro enlightened her.
"How many have you seen come and go Chihiro?" Kagome asked.
"None." Chihiro replied gravely. It was quiet between them for what felt like an eternity. She began to not know how long she had been down there, but hunger had set in a while ago. It seemed like months had passed before the door opened again shedding light on her and another black haired girl, skin and bones. Chihiro was sleeping when Sesshomaru came to reclaim Kagome. So close to death, she could barely see through the bright white light that stung her eyes. His silhouette unlocked her shackles and pulled her up. He could definitely notice a difference in her weight. She became light headed as he pulled her around she was almost in a fog.
He took her to a room far bigger than the last and sat her on the edge of the bed.
"So wench, do you think you learned enough of a lesson about defying me?" He asked.
"Yes Lord Sesshomaru," She whispered, voice barely audible. Hearing her trained didn't give him as much satisfaction as he thought but it was enough to push him on.
"Want to know how long you were down there?" He provoked. She seemed to have truly learned a lesson, no back talk, no complaining, no imposing questions, she had turned into his pet after a week and a half of starvation.
"Please Lord Sesshomaru," She whispered. She kept her eyes on the ground. Only a little while of this obedience crap and maybe he would make her a servant. Maybe this was their initiation. Maybe once he forgot about her she could leave and abandon the shikon shards somewhere. Kaedea would always be there for her.
"A week and a half." He said. No tears, no shortness of breath. She stood eyes on the ground, awaiting his next demand. He took a deep breath.
"Are you hungry?"
"No Lord Sesshomaru." She whispered, "I would only wish to be alone and sleep for a while my Lord." He was taken aback.
"I won't have you trying to kill yourself wench. You will eat before today is over. And you will bathe before you lay in this bed. You have the filth of a poor farm girl.
"Yes, and you reek. You're covered in dirt and sweat and grime, not to mention you're human." His nose sneered as he got closer to the door. Who would have thought a human wench could smell worse.
He left and returned almost an hour later in only a robe. As he entered the room he noticed she stood from the edge of the bed. He walked her down to the springs holding her towel noticing her hesitation the further down they went.
He dropped her towel beside a bubbling spring and hung the kimono on a rail.
"What are you waiting for? Disrobe." He growled.
"W-what are you talking about?" She whispered. "Get naked." He growled narrowing his eyes. Her face turned bright red again as she whispered barely audible to human ears, "I can't with you right here."
"Please wench you honestly believe your body would be something of pleasure for this lord to lay eyes on? I've seen far better, more full-bodied, and sexier youkia women with much greater sexual deviance than you." He growled. She crossed her arms over her chest and he sighed turning away from her. She quickly dropped her clothes to the ground and slipped into the spring. It was warm and relaxing on her tired skin. She could hear his robe hit the ground and feel him coming into the water
"What are you doing?" She asked turning around to face him. Her face was glowing red as he reached for her grabbing her.
"Hurrying you along. I don't have all day." He growled.
He pulled her up against his body. The difference in her waist was dramatically different. He could feel her ribs and noticed that her cheeks were sunk in. He washed her hair as she washed herself and then demanded she get out. He couldn't take pleasure in the sickly body that rose from the water before him. Some thing very similar to guilt was tugging in the back of his mind.
"My Lord," She beckoned.
"Yes wench?" He indulged.
"What exactly are your plans with me?" She asked.
"When I figure it out, I'll let you know," He said through closed eyes.
"So you've thought about it?"
"Doesn't mean I've thought about keeping you." He growled. "I could just do you like most women I come into contact with, morbidly kill you. I could use you, defile you, and kill you, or I could lock you in my dungeon and rob you of your innocence for the rest of your short-lived life." He noticed a hitch in her breath after he told her a few plans that had flashed through his head. It had been a long time since a woman graced his company, touched his skin, and her touch was like electricity lighting him up.
"If those are my options, I would rather you just kill me," she said defiantly to him.
"Ah, my dear miko, it isn't about what you want though. It's about how much pleasure comes of hearing you scream my name and beg me to stop."
"No matter what you do to me Sesshomaru-sama, I will never beg for my life," She breathed barely able to believe it was all coming out of his mouth with minimal emotion. He smirked at her comment.
"Very well my dear," He smirked to her, "Time for diner." He whispered standing up out of the water. She couldn't help but stare and marvel at his chest etched perfectly from lean muscle, or his stone abs. He noticed her prying eyes and waded in waist high water to her. "What's the matter miko?" He asked. He moved towards her smirking. He stepped up on to the concrete revealing himself shamelessly to her. He patted himself dry. Kagome's face, ears, neck were beat red and her chest was started to break out in what looked like red splotches. He pulled on his robe and had to call out to her to unglue her eyes from the floor.
