Prologue
A certain princess was sleeping peacefully when suddenly one of her servants knocked at the door.
"Princess Luna?" She called. Princess Luna's eyes fluttered open.
"Yes, Dusty?" Luna said, getting out of bed and opening the door. Dusty had a very urgent and worried expression. Luna recognized that look.
"Cloudsdale, Rosepetal's house right now. I can tell that the foal will be very special," Dusty said hurriedly and opened the large window nearby. "Hurry, Princess Luna. You can't miss it. You are the princess who watches over births of foals, but this one you have to be there! I just feel it!" Luna nodded, already ready for the event and spread her wings. Leaping out of the window, Luna blinked at the sunlight. It's not normal for her to be awake at this time. She rarely was awake during the day, other than that day she was challenged by her sister to take care of the day's work and the night's as well, so all the ponies looked up when Luna passed over. Although she should be sleeping at the moment, Luna felt wide awake.
The magnificent clouds of Cloudsdale loomed before Luna as she soared through the streets; Rosepetal's cloud home her target. She slowed down, floated through the window and placed a hoof on Rosepetal's leg.
"It's okay Rosepetal, I'm here," Luna whispered as the mare whimpered.
IMA SKIP THE BIRTH
Small, light blue filly was laid in a crib, sleeping peacefully. Only then did Luna notice what the filly looks like.
"Snowdrop," She whispered. This filly looked exactly like her old friend, only that the blue was darker. "Name her Snowdrop, please." Rosepetal looked puzzle, but slowly nodded her head as she looked at her filly.
"Welcome home Snowdrop," Rosepetal whispered. But something was wrong with the filly. Some strange sensation. Touching the filly's forehead with her horn, Luna gasped at the sudden darkness she saw and the eerie silence she heard. "Blind and deaf." She told Rosepetal.
"She's still my daughter and I love her, even if she is deaf and blind!" Rosepetal said, looking fondly on Snowdrop. Luna felt a little breeze pass her. Closing her eyes, she saw Snowdrop, her old friend.
"Give young Snowdrop the power to read thoughts, so she can learn." Luna's friend said spreading her wings and disappearing. Luna opened her eyes again, and with her horn still touching young Snowdrop's forehead, whispered:
"I wish, I hope, I dream, I pray. By the princesses' rule, light her way. Give her the power to read and hear by thoughts, power of the moon and stars."
