"Ah, my back is killing me!" groaned Will as he rolled over in bed.
"What did you do to it? Was it from last night?" Emma asked, winking and blushing slightly at the sound of his groan.
"As much as I'd like it to be from last night, no. It's not. I don't know how I did it, it just aches. I've had it for few months now, but it's recently gotten so bad."
"Oh, I remember you telling me about that a few weeks back. Don't you think you should check it out at the Hospital? It could be serious?"
"Haha, it's probably just some muscle damage or something! I'll be fine!" Will chuckled slightly then winced as a sharp pain shot through his lower spine.
"Honey, I'm being serious. I'm not your wife to always tell you what to do, but I'm telling you now. You NEED to go get it sorted. Otherwise, we aren't going to be able to make a baby with you like that constantly! And we're running out of time..."
"Em, we aren't 'running out of time', okay? We have plenty of time to have a kid, and fine, I'll go. Not because you said so, but because I'm missing out on my hot, heavy make out sessions." He smirked and Emma shook her head.
"You are so crude. I'm going downstairs to get the phone. I'm getting you an appointment for later on today."
"Ah, sooner the better!" Emma rolled her eyes as she walk out of the room to collect the phone from downstairs.
After 20 minutes of arguing, Emma had finally gotten Will an appointment for this afternoon. She called up to Will to get ready as she made them some English muffins to have for breakfast. Emma heard Will moan as his foot hit each step and was worried that he was in that much pain.
"Sweetie, I've made us breakfast and got you an appointment for 1:30pm today. It took some persuading, but I done it." Emma smiled as she handed him the plate.
"Thanks, babe. Will it be okay if you drive?" He gave her puppy dog eyes and pouted his lips.
"Fine, but you need to pay me back for something!" Will winked and she knew exactly what he was thinking. 1:30pm shortly rolled around and Will and Emma were sitting in the waiting room. Around 20 minutes after arriving there, Will's name was finally called to go into the consultation room. Emma joined him as they sat in the Doctors office.
"So, Mr Schuester, why are you here today?" The Doctor sat at his computer and started filling out details.
"Well, for the past few months, I've had this back pain. It starts at the bottom, and makes its way to the top. It almost feels like someone is stomping on my back. But recently, it has gotten more painful and I find it hard to even walk." The Doctor nodded and directed him to the bed.
"Lay down and we'll take a look." Will laid down on his stomach on the bed and the Doctor pulled his T-shirt up, exposing his bare back. He started pressing on his back, and Will winced. "Okay. Is it okay if I take a blood test and a urine test?"
"Yes, yes, of course! As long as you find out what's wrong!" Will nodded as he was handed a pot to urinate in. 15 minutes later and the urine and blood test had been taken and all they were doing now was awaiting for the news. Will grabbed Emma's hand.
"I thought you weren't worried?" Emma asked, puzzled.
"I lied... I'm terrified... What if it is serious, Em?" He gulped.
"William Schuester."
"I guess now we'll find out..." Emma muttered.
"Is it okay if you stay in here, Ms Schuester?" The Doctor asked politely.
"Oh, um, okay... Of course..." Emma took a seat and watched Will disappear into the room. It was about a minute before Will came back out. His face was pale, and he had been crying. He was shaking as he held a piece of paper, obviously which had been handed to him by the Doctor. Emma stood up.
"Will? Is everything okay? Just muscle damage, yeah?" Emma started getting worried. Will started sobbing.
"I... I... I've got cancer."
