Elena stands up there, with her white gown, next to Matt, who wears a tailored suit. For a second he looks at them up there and wonders if he should just leave and let her live out her happily ever after. He probably won't even do anything to stop it.

But he stops those thoughts and just thinks for a second. This was the woman that he knew only a year ago, the one that he was certain had feelings for him and now she stands up there looking more beautiful than ever and the priest tells Matt to say his vows.

He says them and the crowd say their 'awws' and 'ohhs'. Elena looks out to the crowd, blushing and for a second their eyes lock across the room and he swears her demeanour changes, eyes widen but the priest captures her attention as he tells her to say her vows.

She looks out to the crowd and meets his eyes again, almost as if asking for help and he wants to stand up and carry her out of the hall but he doesn't and so the wedding ends.

The moment stays with him though.

Because he'll always have the burden of knowing that she was standing up there saying her vows.

And he did absolutely nothing about it.
