I'm really glad that some of you out there do like this story. I hope didn't keep you from getting another chapter for this, but now college is over and I hope to do more.
So here chapter two! I made this a lot longer than the last one, so I hope you enjoy!
Chapter 2: Grojband-Free
"Trina… You don't have a brother."
The room was met with an unsettling silence after Mi-Bernadette said those words. Trina stares at her friend dumbfounded, before finding the words to speak.
"… w-what do you mean I don't have a brother?!"
"I mean that you don't have a brother," Bernadette explains. "You of all people should know since you're a single child and all."
Trina didn't know what to say at this point. Her inner turmoil soon get the best of her as she tries to process of what is going on:
'I'm a only child… which means being the only sibling, which means having no sibling such as Corey, which means…!'
That when it finally hit her.
"So, like, what you are saying that Corey and his band doesn't exist in this world?!" Trina realized.
"Well, duh. They must as well be nonexistent at this point…whoever they are."
That's all she need to hear as she started giggling.
"Trina…?" Bernadette said, not knowing what to expect.
Suddenly, Trina burst into a manic laughter which caught Bernadette off guard.
"I'm a only child- I'M A ONLY CHILD!" she cheerfully claim, laughing more than she ever felt. This has to be the best day of her life. With no Corey means no band, and no band means that won't have to listen to their grody music ever again! Even if this is some sort of dream, she never wanted to wake up!
"Trina, calm down!" Bernadette finally said, grabbing the pink-haired girl by the shoulder and made eyes contact.
Trina was able snap out of it when Bernadette got a hold of her. Her laughter abruptly stopped, cheeks were now red from embarrassment. She didn't know what gotten into her. Maybe it the joy of finally getting rid of her brother?
"Trina, what gotten into you? You been acting really weird ever since you passed out." Bernadette asked, looking at her friend as if she was insane.
Trina think for a moment. This was going to be difficult to explain. Yet, should she even explain to her? She probably won't buy that she's probably from another world or whatnot. Maybe… maybe she doesn't have to. Now realizing her situation (almost), she now has to make up an excuse to say that she is normal.
"Ha ha, like, sorry about that." she said, "Thought you would take a joke."
Bernadette gave her a questionable look. "… a joke?"
"Yeah, like, a joke."
Bernadette pause for a moment to process of what her friend just said before speaking: "Are you telling me that this was all just some sort of prank?"
"Yeah, like, just made it up on the fly. Didn't think you would take it seriously. Again, sorry about that." Trina said while giving her a nervous smile. She pray for it to hopefully work or else… whatever bad going to happen her if it doesn't.
Bernadette was still a bit skeptical when she ask the following question: "Are you sure you're feeling well? Y-You did pass out…" she trailed off, hoping for her to answer.
"Yeah I'm, like, totes fine now!" Trina claim through their teeth. "In fact, I'm starting to feel better and junk!"
"Trina…"
"I'll be fine. I'm sure this is just a one time thing." Trina said nonchalantly, "So let's not worry about, okaysie?" She bulge her eyes innocently, hoping that will convince her.
Bernadette sighed. "Well... if you say so." She said defeatedly. Trina cheered as she whip her arms above her head in victory. While Bernadette have no idea what has gotten to her friend, she's just glad that Trina's is herself again… sort of.
She then look down on her watch to see that it was late before standing from her chair. "Well, I better get going. Don't want to miss my curfew and all." She explains, walking toward the door.
"Aww… like, that's too bad and junk." Trina said, when in actuality she want her to leave as soon as possible.
Bernadette rolled her eyes in amusement as she opens the door. Just as she stepped outside of her friend's room., Trina spoke:
"So, like, just to clear thing up or whatever. I don't have a sibling, like what so ever…"
Bernadette sighed once more before turning back to the pink-haired teen.
"Trina, we been best friends since kindergarten, so don't doubt me when I say you are an only child." She stated.
That's all she need to hear. "Like, just making sure and junk!" Trina exclaim happily.
Bernadette couldn't help but giggled. "Well, see you tomorrow at school then." She said as she then closing the door behind her to leave. After a few minutes of silence, Trina flop onto her pillow sighing to herself. That was a close one. She wouldn't know what to do if Bernadette ever find out about her. This would be so much easier if she had Mina with her.
Trina then get up from her bed and walk toward her dresser mirror. Now that problem been temporarily solved, what to do now? She still have no idea what been going on. First she woke up with this annoying headache, then Mina change back to her real names and been acting weird lately, and now has been told that her brother is now non existence to this world (not that she's complaining or anything).
But the real question is… how did she even get here? She couldn't remember what happened after her little argument with Corey and his band. Did she get knocked out or something?
"I'll, like, figure it out in the morning or whatever." Trina said aloud. She smile to herself, only to notice now that she wasn't wearing any braces. Licking her perfectly straight teeth, she smile gleefully. Even if this was a dream, she hope that it will stay this way.
After she changed into her nightgown and use the bathroom to brush her teeth, she now snuggle in her bed before drifting into a rather peaceful sleep.
(COCKA-DOODA-DO TRANSITION)
Trina woke up with the headache again which is less stressful than last time. But it still hurts like hell as she rose from her bed while rubbing her head.
"Like, UGH, stupid pain!" Trina yells, forcing herself to get up for school. While stretching for a bit, she notices that something is a bit off this morning, as in it's a lot quieter than usual.
"Eh, it's probably nothing." She said to herself. After getting a shower and getting dress, she's about to get ready for breakfast as she step out of her room – only to stop dead in her tracks in shock as she took one look of the garage below her.
The garage that was once crowded with a lot of stuff was now bare, almost completely empty (with the exception of her car). Everything that her brother had put out for his band's hangout was gone; the instruments, the impossibly fit stage, everything. Looking at it now makes the garage even larger than before.
That's when last night events flash before her as Trina took a step back. She couldn't believe that everything from last night was real, and yet she is overjoyed that is was real.
"Yay, my brother and his lame-o band are, like, actually gone!" Trina cheered, clapping her hands and jumping for joy.
"Trina!" a voice called. Trina look down to see Mina (or preferably Bernadette) standing by the entrance of the garage door.
"O-oh, hi there!" Trina shout nervously, not sure if she saw that or not. "When did you get here?"
"Just now." Bernadette answered. "Ready to go!"
"Um.. like, totes! Let me just get my stuff and something to eat, okaysies?"
Bernadette nodded before getting herself in the passenger side of the car. Trina make her way down to kitchen and grabbing herself a granola bar, then make her way back to the garage and into her car.
"So, you doing okay?" Bernadette suddenly said.
"Uh, like, yeah…totes." Trina reply nervously, not sure where this was going as she start the engine.
"Look, I know that last night got a bit… hectic, but I'm just worried about you and you're my best friend." Bernadette said, "So, are you sure that you're okay Trina?"
"Oh.. uhhh…" Trina didn't know what to think at the moment. The events of last night was still fresh in her mind. She really want to know what happened to her. Yet… she wanted to live out this Grojband-less world, and take every single moment. She smiled deviously at her plans before returning to Bernadette's question.
"Like, of course I'm fine silly." Trina said with confident. "I mean, last night was a bit hectic and junk, but I'm okay now – better actually."
Bernadette was confused with her friend's new attitude, but decide it to brush it off for now as it might be one of those days.
"Okay, whatever you said." She reply.
"Like, great! Let's get school, shall we?" Trina said confidently, as she pull her car out of the garage and on the road.
'Like, this is going to be the best day EVER!' Trina thinks gleefully, knowing that no one will ruin this moment for her.
Well.. that was chapter 2. It seem that our girl Trina will be staying her for awhile. What will Trina do in this world and who will she meet.
Stay tune for another chapter and leave a review!
