Chapter 2

Lara and Edwin come home in the middle of the night. Zara and Andrew Montague are waiting for their children. A letter between the two. When Zara came home she opened the letter. She didn't know what to do with it so she waited for her husband to come home. After they both read the letter and heard what their son had to tell about it. After a discussion they made their decision.

"Ed, go to bed."

"Yes, dad."

Lara waits for her parents to start yelling at her. They are probably very mad.

"Let's go to the study."

The trio walks to the study and sit down.

"We are a little bit surprised by the letter we got. You didn't tell us that you send a letter to Ms. McGonagall. Why didn't you tell us?" Zara asks her daughter.

"Well… Everybody knows our family. Because you two choose not to be in the wizarding world. Many people claim that we are a very wealthy family thanks to the wizarding world. And when Ed and I got our letters last year, you made is very clear that we were not going to Hogwarts. I didn't really mind then, because I was looking forward to go to St. Andrews. But now, I just don't feel very happy."

Zara and Andrew look at each other. How does their daughter know about all this. She should not worry about it. They taught their kids about the wizarding side of the family. But they never visited any magical places, or talked a lot about it. Their children shouldn't know about everything that happened in that world. Especially not what happened when they chose not to be in it any more.

"Your mother and I talked about this. We would rather not have you go to Hogwarts. But Ms. McGonagall made some very good points. Ed also told us that you weren't really happy in school at the moment. So we will give you a semester at Hogwarts. You will have to get good grades, you will have to behave yourself and not get into trouble and after one semester we will talk. If you feel more happy and you do these things, you can stay. But if you get into trouble after that, we still will get you out of the school and you will be home schooled after that. You will not go back to St. Andrews, do you understand?" Andrew speaks very clearly to his daughter so she knows he is not kidding her.

"YES, YES, YES! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will! I will do all those things!" Lara is beyond excited.

"Now, go to bed, we will talk about all the school stuff you need tomorrow." Zara tells her daughter.

Lara stands up and runs upstairs, before she gets to her own room she walks into her brothers room and tells him that she can actually go to Hogwarts. They keep talking about everything and fall asleep.

A few weeks later in Diagon Alley...

"Wow, look at all these shops!" Lara can not believe what she is seeing. She just went to Gringotts and got her wand. It is a spruce wood with Phoenix feather core, 12,5 inches and slightly springy flexibility. She also bought her robes and the last stop will be the bookshop. As they are walking down the Alley Lara spots a young boy stealing some oranges at a market stand.

"Hey!" She shouts to the boy, who looks at her with a big grin and then runs away towards a dark alley. Lara wants to go after him.

"No! Lara come on, you are not supposed to go there." Andrew tells his daughter.

"Why not?"

"That is Knockturn Alley, it is a place for dark wizards and we are not dark wizards. It is not safe for you to go there. Come on let's go to the bookshop."

When they arrive at the bookshop there are two boys standing in front of the door. They are talking, but the conversation doesn't look like a nice one.

"Eat dragon poop, Garcia" one of the boys says to the other.

"Go inside and meet your little boyfriend, Ward" the other boy replies.

Then a beautiful woman comes out of the shop. She has beautiful black hair and sunkissed skin.

"Mitch! No yelling, no fighting, you know better than that. Nick, your mother is inside, go to her please." The woman tells the boys. When she looks up she says "Well, well, well, am I seeing things or is that Andrew Montague?"

"Camilla Garcia, it has been a long time since I saw you." Andrew applies with a smile.

Lara looks from the woman to her father and then to the boy. She has no clue how her father knows anyone here. She noticed that a lot of people had looked their way but she thought that maybe her dads hair looked weird or something.

"Uhm dad, who is this?" she asks her father.

"This is Camilla and her son Mitchell. Camilla and her husband were in the same house in school as your mother and I. Slytherin. Mitchell will be going to the second year right?"

"Yes sir, I will. Hi, I'm Mitchell, you can call me Mitch. I am in Slytherin. You will be going into the first year, there you will be sorted."

"I'm actually starting in second year. I just missed the first one, but I have been studying all summer, so I get to start in the second year." Lara says with a proud smile on her face.

Mitchell doesn't really seem to like the fact. Then turns to his mother.

"We should go further right, mother? Dad wanted to meet us in 15 minutes and we still haven't got my new robes."

"Yes, it was good to see you Andrew, and Lara, good luck in school!"

As the mother and son walk away, Lara and Andrew walk into the bookstore. What a day this has been already.
