In her twenties now, maybe Emma felt she was losing time, or patience. She had really thought it was going to be Sean she'd one day marry. Her and Manny use to giggle and rant on about it when little girls. But if he wasn't the one for her, and neither was Kelly, or Tom. Then who? Everyone else use to think it would of been Sean too... She just couldn't believe it. Couldn't accept it! Who else could it be, who knew her better than Sean?

"Hey there." winked a sandy haired man wearing a bandana and had a long beard, wearing a get up that reminded Emma of a hells angel biker or something.

She had just entered her towns newest bar that had been opened just a few months. Opened by Paige and Alex actually, who had gotten back together from whatever set them apart in the first place. Jay had told her it was mostly Alex's bar though but she was more here to see Paige who had to be here because her and Alex were inseparable. Weird as it was, Paige was the only one to talk to now a days.

"Hey hun." Paige greeted Emma, giving her a pitiful look that a biker was hitting on her. Paige had noticed the bar she 'allowed' Alex to open with their money had gone through many stages since opening 90 days ago. It started as a casual not so busy bar, then turned into a country bar one week, all hipster the next, and now bikers with your here and there potential criminals.

Emma was making her way over and slowed down to see Alex leaning on the counter with Paige, having a drink with the devil himself. Jay.

"Are you stalking me now?" Jay taunted her, sipping the beer bottle he had in his hands while holding a small smirk on his lips. He watched her sit in a huff and just sneer at him before turning to Paige.

"Oh no," Alex said with her deep womanly careless voice, "You two fighting again?" she glanced between Jay and Emma.

Emma ignored, and Paige sent Alex a look to back off. "Heard about Seans wedding." Paige said to Emma with a small wince.

Alex caught Jay's look and she sighed and rolled her eyes, turning to get more drinks for them and Emma too. Had Jay told her to back off Emma? Secretly, yes. With a deal that Jay had to be nice to Paige too. God, Look at them, two bad asses who totally sold out for two goody two shoe blondes.

Even if Alex did tell Emma that Jay secretly protected and longed for her from a far, Emma wouldn't believe it. Alex didn't understand how Emma couldn't see that Jay was crazy about her and it made it harder for Alex to like her. It made her feel Emma just didn't look at Jay as 'Prince charming'. And he was a great guy! Yes, he may of been a dick in highschool, and Alex would know! But they were older now, and he had really changed. He was probably better than any other guy Nelson had ever been with. No doubt Alex had something with his changing too. She knew her and Jay were never in love, but they were best friends, and when he treated her the way he did with all those lies, and those skanks, he almost lost her for good. His only best friend. Alex really opened his eyes. I mean, he had Sean, but Sean had just moved, so he really had nobody and Emma wanted nothing to do with him either after the whole ravine thing.. and he never felt so desperate to change. It took time, but he did.

It took him a while to realize he was in love with Emma. He always wondered after the Ravine if she was okay. Then, when Sean came back, Jay had this gut wrenched feeling when he and Emma got back together. He thought it was guilt, over what him and Emma did the last year behind closed doors, but it was more. When Sean found out about their little history while he was away, Jay wasn't even that sorry. Jay was loyal to his friends, so that stumped him. Emma had to of meant something if he risked his friendship with Sean for her, right? He hadn't figured it out yet what it meant, so that's when he started to date Manny (Emma's best friend). This is what he thought was his new chance to be a 'faithful' and 'happy' guy, and though Manny was a funny and sexy girl. . she just wasn't the girl he ended up thinking about late at night nor watched from a far.

When Hollywood came up for Manny, Jay was okay with the distant relationship. That was until he had a 'girls night' with Alex and Paige and they made him realize he didn't mind distance because he didn't really miss her, or love her, that she was only just as wild as him and as good in bed. She was lust. So who the hell was he in love with?

It was an ugly break up. Manny said she wanted it to be over too. She went to Hollywood for good, but still visited for Emma once a year and it was nasty comments here and there if she and Jay saw another when she was home. When Manny wasn't home, him and Emma hung out more, and he began to notice she was the most important girl in his life. A girl who stuck around, even when finding out how flawed he was.

Manny and him were fine now though, in fact, it was the night they called 'Truce' that Jay accepted the fact of just who he was in love with...

FLASHBACK:

"I miss you so much." Pouted Emma to Manny, standing at the Dot that was loaded up like a Degrassi reunion. It was Spinner's birthday, and even Craig Mannings had showed up but Manny didn't care even slightly.

"I miss you a lot too" mooped Manny.

Liberty stood to their left and smiled sadly."Growing up sucks." she joked.

Manny looked around the party with a sigh, "Sucks that Toby couldn't make it."

"Can't believe that rockstar Craig Mannings did though," joked Emma, glancing at him and back to Manny, "You're really okay with him being here?"

"So highschool, Em. So over it." Manny looked at her nails boredly, truly looking over it.

Liberty smirked to Emma, "She's dating her acting coach."

"LIB!" shrieked Manny, now that her secret was out. Emma smiled rolling her eyes, she should of known. From rockstar Craig, to ruthless playboy Jay Hogart, to her school professor, to now her acting coach. Manny had an interesting list.

"Thanks for coming out, guys!" cheered Spinner, passing them some beers.

"Happy birthday Spin." they all smiled and congradulated.

The door opened, and in came Jay and Alex. "You guys made it!" yelled Spinner happily in Manny's ear.

"SPIN!" Manny snapped, slapping his chest. He winced but apologized, laughing a little.

Jay closed the door after him and Alex got in, and walked over. Manny rolled her eyes, noticing Jay now too. "Great." she muttered and announced, "I'm going to the girls room."

She left with that, swinging her long hair over her shoulders and Liberty followed her. Emma stayed back and noticed Jay roll his eyes and scoff to the fact his ex was back in town and he caught her smug smile as she locked eyes with him.

He squinted his eyes at her, "Couldn't of warned me the blood sucking queen was back?" he shot at her, glancing the way Manny went.

"I much rather see you squirm." Emma replied, looking up at him with a happy glow on her face, smiling sweetly, but he knew her game. She really did enjoy making him suffer. "I remember once upon a time you never told me Sean was back in town." she reminded.

He couldnt help but grin, shaking his head and stepped a little closer to her while he nodded. She was right. Woops.

Alex had glanced over, noticing the little 'interaction' between Greenpeace and Jay. Like always, they were bickering, but always in their own flirty messed up kind of way, standing inches away from another. It looked like nobody was in the room but them. Jay's eyes were always so lit when around her, and Alex never noticed until now how much Jay made Emma Nelson smile.

Alex had sat with Jay later on that evening as the party was still going, and he was watching Emma with her friends Liberty and Manny.

"Admit it, Hogart." Alex yelled over the music, and he glanced over to her, confused. "You're in love." she nodded back at the girls across the room.

Jay was taken back by the comment and looked at her almost as if offended. One, he didn't know what love really was, two, how random was that? He looked back at the girls, his eyes instantly falling on Emma as if naturally and watched as she giggled madly to whatever her friends were saying.

He glanced at Manny, thinking Alex had probably meant her and he couldn't even let himself think for a SECOND that he was in love with her. He just..wasn't. He ended it for a reason, she wasn't the girl for him, and he wasn't the guy for her. Good luck to whomever that may be.

He brushed Alex's comment off easily and sipped his beer, glancing around the lame ass party. He boredly leaned back on the wall behind him, and his eyes slowly peaked back over at Emma. She was still laughing, and he smirked. Her laugh was turning to sweet giggles until she took a sip of her drink and seemed to be having a good time. He was glad one of them was having a good time. She was tucking that long blonde hair of hers behind her ears. He got lost watching her, as he always did- wait- SHIT.

Oh.

Jay looked back at Alex, alarmed, and his eyes wide. Alex just smirked at him, grabbed her drink, and left. Jay looked back in Emma's direction, his heart pounding, he felt it beating so hard he could almost hear it. He tried to down his beer, as if it was medicine to make his pounding heart stop; it just made it worse. Holy hell, Alex was right. Emma. He knew Greenpeace was an important part of his life and their frenemy friendship was sacred to him, but now he was noticing just how important she was. She was the only girl who got away with making fun of him, the only girl he never got bored of, who he could actually be 'friends' with, who he deep down truly respected. She was the girl he watched from afar, who he felt protective over. , Alex was right. .

And my god, he never stood a chance.

He got up, needing to leave now, squishing through the crowd and glancing wildly at Emma across the room before bumping roughly into someone.

"excuse you!" snapped Manny.

Jay stopped and looked at whom he bumped into. Shit. He swallowed, "Sorry, I need to," he licked his lips a little and swallowed again, his throat feeling dry, "I just need to Fucking go." he informed, then cursed while he adjusted his windbreaker. "Whys the fucking heat on in this place?! It's summer!" he yelled at, well, anyone near.

Manny blinked and looked around the diner and then paused, and eyed him weirdly. She almost looked concerned, "What the hell is up with you? Chill out."

"I can't." he almost whined, taking his hat off and running his fingers through his hair nervously.

"Is this about us?" she asked a bit softer.

Jay paused, and glared down, "No Dimples, not everything is always about you..and there is no us."

She snapped, "I was just trying to call it truce, Jay! If you don't want that, then fine." as she yelled at him, he noticed Emma glance over, looking concerned and then a little disappointed. She was probably annoyed with the constant fights with them to. Jay bit the end of his tongue, glancing back down at Manny and cornering his eyes back at Emma. No girl would ever give a guy a chance if their own best friend didn't like him. He didn't want to the be blame of ruining Emma's good time either.

"Fine." Jay sighed, letting the grudge against Manny go. "Truce." he nodded.

She stopped in the middle of her shouting, and blinked, "Oh. Ok." she nodded, and he kept nodding back awkwardly.

She crossed her arms but noted, "Cool."

END OF FLASHBACK.

Alex snapped Jay out of his thoughts and memory when she came back with some shots. "To Ellie and Sean!" she cheered sarcastically, lifting her glass and Jay took one too as Paige and Emma turned to see what they were talking about.

Jay snickered a little, sharing a look with Alex until they both glanced at Emma who scowled at them but grabbed one of the shots and just took it before getting up for the bathroom. Jay frowned, noticing even in just her walk, she was upset.

"Poor girl." Paige whispered to them, leaning on the counter. Jay just took another shot, miserably.

"She should see it in another light." Alex insists, trying to make a joke "She escaped being Mrs Cameron, and now Ellie has to deal with all Sean's anger issues and baggage."

Jay put his shot glass down and went the way Emma went, down the back hall of the bar where the bathrooms were.

Inside the girls washroom, Emma looked up at the mirror, whipping her last tear. She once swore she'd never let Sean Cameron make her cry again. Then again, it was really Alex who made the comment but in the end, it pointed at Sean.

How could he pick Ellie!? She wondered now if he even wanted Ellie the whole time he was with her. Did he?

She finally turned and put on her brave face. She opened the door to exit to find Jay leaning on the door frame, waiting for her. He turned his head as she abruptly stopped and then sighed sadly. She gave up and looked down, her shoulders falling. Softly, he glanced down at her and picked her chin back up.

She sadly mumbled, "Sorry.. for what I said to you before". The 'cold' comment, and bringing up Manny was probably really rude of her. Emma couldn't tell if Jay was over her or not, it'd been more than a year. He wasn't really an open book though if you haven't noticed.

Jay nodded, then asked after a moment of silence, "You really going to that wedding?"

Emma looked back up at him, and she thought long and hard as she could. "Yeah, I think so."

Jay tried to make a joke, even if his insides felt like acid, "Whose this imaginary date you're going to make Sean jealous over?"

((((************)))))))))

Emma had dragged herself to her mom's house, opening the door and lifelessly dropping her bag off her shoulder to the ground. Snake and Spike looked over from playing with Baby Jack, but the baby was 5 years old now.

"Emmy, what's wrong?" he asked. She smiled, loving that he never lost that nickname for her as he grew.

Snake went serious when he noticed tears water in Emma's eyes. "You okay?"

"Em, what's happened sweetie?" Spike questioned and got up to walk over to her.

When Emma finally mustered the courage she looked up at them and explained, "Sean's getting married."

Snake even winced a little, and he got up to walk over too, both him and Spike embracing her. When Snake pulled away first, his tall frame hovered over her. "Well," he walked back to Spike, "Life moves forward."

"Not if I don't let it." mumbled Emma.

Even baby Jack looked up at her with a big 'what?' face. Emma nodded, more determined now, and went to go sign 'yes' for that wedding invite/

(((**)))

Emma woke up with a burst of a snore. She wasn't a snorer, but when her cellphone began to ring at 7 am in the morning on a weekend, it tends to ruin her deep sleep.

"Hello?" she whined into the phone. If this was Manny, Emma would truly have to give another two hour speech on how time difference works from Hollywood.

"Emma?" came his deep and settle voice.

Her breath stopped and Emma sat up straight, her eyes widening. She was in her apartment now, one she shared with, well, herself.

"Se-Sean?"

"I got your RSVP in the mail." he cleared his throat before he chuckled a little, "Emma, it's so good to hear your voice. I'm glad we can put the past between us and do this. I can't wait to see you"

He had to say that? Emma rolled her eyes, sitting more against the pillows but grumbled, "Yea. Me too." she bit her lip before admitting, "I was shocked a little, I mean don't get me wrong I'm glad you're getting married!" she lied, "But when I saw just to who.."

"I know, I thought we were over too but she's a reporter now Em, and a good one!" he exclaimed, "She was interviewing heroes from the Iraq mission and I happened to be one of them and-"

"And suddenly she loved you again?" Emma asked so sarcastically but he didn't seem to notice.

"Ya! Wait, well no, she said she always did but it was complicated. And it was! I mean, I thought we were really over I mean I really hurt her, and she rejected me, and I dated other girls, she moved away-"

Emma even put the phone down on her lap, scowling a bit and ignoring whatever he was now saying. He dated her, was she just another 'other girl'? She never wanted to hit him over the head so hard. Wait, that's a lie. She's wanted to before. Sean was the master of screw ups. She sighed and put the phone back to her ear just to hear the end of his speech.

"...and Ellie said she was completely fine with me inviting you to the wedding, she said it might be too awkward for you to want to come though but I knew it'd be fine!," Sean continued, "You're like my best friend, Em. My longest friend. We got everything cleared up the last time I visited you, didn't we?"

Emma was speechless, and her mouth hung a bit. She looked down before smiling sadly even though he couldn't see her. She had told him she moved on. B-But it was different now!

How is it different?, her mind taunted her. Because he's getting married before you? Got his life figured out before you? You're jealous?

Emma shut her own mind up and finally replied to Sean "It's more than fine Sean. I can't wait to see you guys get married or for you to finally come home" . She had read in the invitation it would be at Walsh Greens Hotel, which was in Toronto. So Sean would be coming home, everyone would be. Big ol' Degrassi reunion again only bigger, and better.

"That's what I'm calling about.." he drifted, and Emma could even hear a smile, "I'm home a bit earlier than expected...and I really wanna see you."

Emma's mouth dropped.

((((((*******))))))

"And I really wanna see you? Is he for real?" snorted Jay, sitting on the stool at the Dot's counter with Emma, Spinner and Alex.

Emma looked prettier than the usual, which meant really pretty, sporting her best short jean shorts. Incase you were wondering, that meant they were very short and showing off her nice tanned long legs. She wore respectable black heels. Her top consisted of a light grey tank top that maybe hugged around her breasts tighter than usual and a white thin cardigan over it. Her long hair was down and naturally straight with her layers flipping out.

Alex seemed to be really out of it, looked like she had barely slept and Emma was even noticing her tap her fingers impatiently on the counter.

"What's up with her?" Emma had to ask, standing next to Jay. He glanced carelessly back at Alex who snapped at Emma.

"Bite me, Nelson." the raven haired girl then bit her nails nervously.

Jay turned back to Emma, "She hates Degrassi reunions and seeing Paige's friends."

"I can't believe I have to go." Alex said, scowling.

"Why do you have to?" Emma asked.

"I'm Ellie's bridesmaid." Alex rolled her eyes, "along with Sherlee Kerwin-"

"Ashley Kerwin" corrected Spinner with a loud laugh.

"And Paige..so we have to go." finished Alex, then added, "Paige also won't shut up about seeing Marco again."

Jay had to laugh out loud, "You, in a dress?"

"Shut up." growled Alex to then glance at the clock, "Shit." she sighed, "I gotta go now, I got shift at the bar tonight." she left with that.

"Wait," Emma then paused, "Are you one of Sean's groomsmen?" she asked Jay.

Jay then stilled, and coughed a little. Emma's mouth dropped. Why didn't she put that together before?! Ofcourse he would be!

"Yeah."

Emma gave him a look until the Dots door open and somebody cleared his throat. Jay and Emma turned from another, and Spinner peaked over their heads to see the one and only Sean Cameron.

"Cue in awkward entry." joked Jay, smirking and narrowing his eyes at Emma who stood in shock.

She then smiled, "Sean!"

Sean Cameron grinned back at them both but more Emma, putting his arms out as he walked over, "Miss me?"

Jay rolled his eyes as Emma lept into Seans arms, I mean, Sean had to of known Spin nor Jay were going to go hug him so A + for probably getting what he wanted.

The blonde was hugging Sean tight and Sean chuckled hugging her back and closing his eyes for a moment. Spinner laughed silently at Jays annoyed look over at him. He seriously always hated these two together.

"Gee Sean," Jay said tauntingly as the two split apart, "Why don't you hug me that way?"

Emma scowled at him and Sean too even passed him a look to shut up. Didn't they know Jay Hogart though? He always stated the obvious, whenever he wanted to, weather you liked it or not.

"As much as I missed this little diner," joked Sean to Spinner, sharing a 'hello' high five with him. "Where can we go get some beers?"

Another voice chimed in, "You guys aren't going anywhere without us." they all turned to Manny Santos, standing with Liberty and Emma's eyes widened.

"OH MY GOD!" the blonde ran over, shoving between both the guys eagerly to go get to her best girl friends who all squealed and hugged another laughing. They had probably just flown in, since each of them still had their luggage.

"Dude." Spinner complained, holding his ears. He laughed though, watching them hop up and down. Liberty looked different, all sophisticated and wearing heals and a pencil skirt. Manny was Manny, still beautiful, still a star.

Jay taunted Sean in the background, "Is my ex's return a coincidence or did you actually invite the she-devil herself to your wedding?"

Sean cringed but tried to snap back, "I've known her my whole life, man. Sorry."

Manny pulled away from Emma, clearly hearing Jay, "We called Truce a long time ago, remember? Can't help it that I broke a heart I never knew was there." she put her hands on her sassy hips.

"Please," snorted Jay humorously, "You're confusing my organs together. The only organ you got close to was my c-"

"Okay!" Emma snapped at them both, clapping her hands together. "Let's go get a drink!" she snuck in a glare at Jay, telling him silently not to RUIN this for her.

Sean grinned at her, same ol' Emma taking control. He walked over and agreed with her. "I could use one from the flight I had."

They all followed another out the door and to The bar.

(((((((*********)))))))))

They sat in in Paige and Alex's bar now, it was busy, this time with no bikers.

Jay sat miserably beside Sean, taking shot after shot and just playing poker with Manny, Liberty and Spinner. Sean and Emma were in the game, but barely paying attention. Some of them shared looks when they just accepted the fact the two were too wrapped in another to take their turn in the game, so they continued playing and the two didn't even realize they were missing their turns.

"It's an adrenaline." Sean told Emma, smiling with his famous ol dimples but then frowned. "But, El says no more Army once we're married." he took a deep breath and picked up his beer to sip it.

"But it's what you want," Emma reminded him, shrugging her shoulder. "Or seems to be."

Sean smirked a little at her, "Come on, Em. You weren't a fan of it either. It is dangerous.."

She frowned. He caught onto that. She sat up and insisted, "Well, I was worried about you. " Emma lowered her eyes and then peaked up at him through her long bashful eyelashes. He softened and went to open his mouth-

"Look Cam, I win again!" Jay called out, grabbing Sean's attention away from Emma whose mouth fell and she scowled at Jay. That 'eyelash' trick use to always work on Sean. Jay was ruining it!

"Good for you, Jay.." Sean drifted monotone like.

Jay went to take the money from the middle of the table until Liberty grabbed it and put down her cards. "I don't think so, buster."

Jay's mouth fell, seeing her straight hand. Spinner and Manny laughed hard, watching Liberty happily put her winnings into her purse. Jay whispered to himself in horror, "Liberty Van Zandt just beat me, at poker."

She shrugged innocently, "I like numbers and poker is all about numbers. I did fly through math class unlike you, Hogart"

"Ouch." he declared, moving onto his beer

"Go Lib." giggled Manny before she turned to Sean, "So Sean, army made you cut your hair huh? Lovin the buzz cut.. at least you still have the biceps." she teased.

Emma rolled her eyes, never knowing if Manny knew she just naturally flirted with every single guy on the planet.

At the end of the night, Manny and Liberty were already staying at the Walsh hotel so grabbed a cab there and Spinner grabbed one home. They were all a little buzzed, but Sean who hadn't drank offered to Emma, "I could drive you home.." he smiled softly, "It'd be nice to see Snake and your mom again."

Emma slyly (and maybe a little drunkenly) smiled back while Jay turned to look at the two with a disgusted look on his face. Emma went to answer Sean, "that'd be ni-"

"I got it." Jay cut Emma off, pulling Emma's arm over beside him. Sean eyed them weirdly, and glanced at Emma questionably before back at Jay. Jay caught the look and smirked. He'd seen that look before.

"Alright.." Sean paused, "See you guys tomorrow." he turned and walked towards his car as Emma stayed next to Jay dumbfounded, watching Sean walk away.

Her mouth dropped and she turned to Jay, "Jay, you - Sean was going to-" she was cut off yet again.

He stared down at her seriously now, but showed no more patience with her. "Do you want Sean?" Stupid question. But Emma nodded anyway. "Then kiss me right now." Talk about getting caught between a rock and a hard place.

Emma gasped when Jay leaned his head down, and he grabbed the back of her head before he crashed his lips to hers. She gasped, but then sighed, kissing him back just as passionately and opened her mouth, letting his skillful tongue flick and force against hers. She moaned into the kiss, clenching his jacket in her hands.

She had to make sure this night didn't end up like the other night. She had to focus on .. .what's his name again? SEAN!

So why couldn't she pull away?

"Jay," she moaned against the kiss. She pulled back just slightly and caught her breath. Jay kept his eyes shut, and her hands laid on his chest so softly, her warm breath on his neck. He grimaced a little as they caught their breath.

Over by Sean, he had to take one more curious glance back. He didn't like the old familiar vibe he always got between Emma and Jay. His ex and his best friend. He had to glance back at them to make sure what he felt was just stupid, but what he saw proved him wrong. The two were heavily making out right there in the middle of the parking lot, Jay holding Emma in his arms, her hands resting on the sides of his face looking rather wrapped up in another. They then pullled away, but seemed to be just catching their breath.

Sean blinked a few times, catching Jays eyes open and glance at him.

Jay smirked a little and Emma finally shook her head, snapping out of it and noticing Jay looking at something over her shoulder. "What?"

"I just caught him watching. The guy looks like he was hit with a bus."

Emma's eyes then widened. She turned quickly around, both her and Jay watching Sean's car speed away.

"Relax." Jay said, rolling his eyes and avoiding hers when she turned back to him outraged. "He's clearly choked up. Remember when he was dating you and found out about our little past together?"

Emma blushed furiously.

Jay nodded the direction Sean went, "If he's 'moved on', he won't do or say anything. If he does react?" he walked around Emma to get his keys out of his jacket and stopped as he opened his front car door, "You have him wrapped around your finger this time, puppet."

Emma crossed her arms, ignoring the little 'puppet' nickname. Eyeing Jay up and down she had to admit, that was smart. He was an evil genius remember!

"Need a ride or not?" he asked, raising an eyebrow and opened his passanger door.

When Jay parked in her apartments parking lot, he sat there for a moment before looking over at her. "So.." he gazed her up and down before she turned her head to look at him and he cleared his throat, "Are you staying at the hotel with everyone?"

"Well, I should if I wanna spend more time with Manny.. it is a bit of a drive there and back." she groaned, "I just don't want to see them together. God.. I don't know if I should go, I don't wanna go alone."

"Then don't."

Emma's eyes flickered to his. His eyes looked so stormy and blue. "You want to..."

"Go together." he said with a shrug.

A flashback of the other night replayed hotly in her head...

Jay rollled his hips clock wise and went a little harder and she arched her back to lift her hips into his own thrustful hips. "YES!"

"You like that?" He asked roughly, pounding into Emma even harder.

She arched off the couch, "Yes!"

END OF FLASHBACK.

Emma sat up in her seat, and pushed her skirt down a little even though she shouldn't have anything to fear. He wasn't even trying. Problem was, he didn't need to.

"I-I don't think so."

He had to smirk as he kept his eyes on the road but taunted, "As friends, Emma. What do you have to worry about?"

Emma narrowed her eyes, opening her mouth to snap at him, but then closed it quickly. "Nothing." she bit her lip, "Fine! A room with two beds."

Jay grinned to the fact she had to state the two beds factor, "Can't hold yourself back with just one?"

"Please." she rolled her eyes but her cheeks burned. Emma pretended to be disgusted now, "I don't think so, Hogart."

He looked at her pointedly, "You know it'll drive him crazy."

Emma was already nervously playing with her hands in her lap and paused at that. Drive WHO crazy? -oh! OH SEAN!- right. She bit her lip, looking down and thinking about it. She narrowed her eyes to see Jay now tapping his index finger on his steering wheel and waiting for an answer as he took a deep breath and gazed out his window.

"Fine."

He turned his head back towards her, a shocked expression on his face. "Really?"

She nodded and tried not to smirk back, opening his car door. "Pick me up at noon tomorrow, Jay. I'll need a ride."

"You got it, puppet." he smirked at her glare, and watched her walk back into her apartment. Did he mention she looked really hot today? Those jean shorts was really showing off her long tanned legs and curves, ass- Jay shook his head, snapping out of it.

With that, he drove off, a smile upon his lips.

((((((((*******)))))

It really was a 5 star hotel. The sun was shining bright and the light bursting through the clouds almost landed on the white classy hotel like it was heaven.

"Christ," Muttered Jay, rounding his civic into the parking zone. He drove with Emma in the passenger seat and they hopped out together. Tony was upset to have his top mechanic need a week off but he understood it was his best friends wedding and he was the Best man.

Jay popped his car trunk open for their bags. Emma looked really good today for just being another normal day, and maybe she meant to. She had on a deep red skirt that was short on one side that stopped at her thigh and went longer on the other and stopped at her knee. She wore a white tank top that barely reached the start of the skirt, and her hair was softly curled.

Jay cleared his throat while grabbing her bags for her, "I got it."

"Really?" Emma asked, raising a skeptical eyebrow but put her hands on the back of her hips and moved back as his strong arms unloaded the car. He did that this morning too, loading her bags into his car and giving her a ride here.

"Car keys sir?" asked a valet, coming over.

Jay looked over, glaring at the guy, "What for? So you can steal it?"

"I-" the guy got chocked up, not knowing what to say and looked at Emma for help who giggled.

She explained to Jay, "He's the Valet guy, Jay. He parks the car for you and carries our bags in."

"I can do it myself." Jay stubbornly snapped but Emma giggled more and dug into his coat pocket for his keys and threw it to the young guy who took it and instantly got out of there before he was beat up. "Hey!" snapped Jay.

Emma grabbed his hand, rolling her eyes and led him up the hotel steps, her heels clicking each step. Jay raised his eyebrows, following her and glancing at their hands locked together. He could get use to this, even if just 'for show'.

Emma didn't even notice that she almost walked by Sean until he called her name, "Emma!"

She turned, Jay behind her and hands still together. She went to release Jay's but he held her tighter and she looked up at him a little fearfully. She didn't know what to do, about Sean nor this thing with Jay. He made her feel...confused, scared.

"Go say hi." Jay demanded and pulled her over.

Emma then noticed Sean stood with Ellie and the redhead wore a nice loose mini white dress, her red hair now in a classy bob. Wow, goth girl changed into a fancy red head? That's.. Different. Beside them also stood Marco, wearing his best suit yet it wasn't even the Wedding day. They also all had wine or beer in their hands.

"Hey guys." Marco greeted, but smiling unsurely. He could even feel the tension between the four.

"Nash," Jay taunted to break the ice, "Who brought you back from the dead?" he joked, reminding her of her 'vampire' nickname. Emma shook her head beside him, looking up at Jay with a small smile.

"Still charming, Jay." Ellie snapped back, sharing a look with Sean but Sean could barely notice. Emma and Jay..were holding hands. Ellie then noticed that too, "Oh! You guy are like..together?"

Ellie then thought about how a girl like Emma would actually be good for Jay, even if it was Emma. (Sean's ex). These two looked pretty cute together though.

Marco joked to Jay, trying to break the ice with him too, "Finally settled down huh Hogart?" he nodded to Emma respectively, "Just needed the right girl."

Emma was blushing so madly beside Jay she had to look down, and Sean was red too but for a different reason, "Together?" he spat out.

Ellie tried to ignore it, wrapping her arm around Sean's waist, "Maybe you guys will be next." she gushed

Emma tried not to smile and roll her eyes when Jay too slid his arm around her little waist now. "Ya, pumpkin, what to do you think of that?" Jay caught Emma's gaze, sending her a devilish smirk.

Ellie beamed beside Sean, who miserable chugged the beer bottle in his hand. This had to be some sick joke. How right he was, but this joke was turning into much more.

"Sorry Sean," Jay said and seemed to like to bury his nose in it, "I wanted to tell you, it just happened recently, hope it's not uncomfortable, me and Emma, together."

Sean saw it, the look Jay flickered at him towards Ellie, as if warning him he better not flip out in front of his lovely fiance cause it'd look bad. And it would. He clenched his jaw and put on a hard grin, "Why would it be? I think it was bound to happen sooner or later with you two. I always knew there was something still lingering."

Emma felt stung when Sean sent her a look she couldn't explain. Betrayl?

He said through clenched teeth, "You deserve another."

Ellie was a little taken back too, watching him just nod as politely as he could before he took off.

"Got to go deal with some wedding stuff." Sean said and kissed Ellie's cheek before leaving. Ellie softly smiled and watched him go.

"Have you guys checked in yet?" Marco asked Emma and Jay, trying to move along from what had just happened.

"No," Emma looked up at Jay, "Want to go do that now?"

Jay nodded and then gave half a nod to Ellie and Marco as a goodbye. Emma waved and went to leave until Ellie stepped forward and grabbed Emma's hand, "Emma" she said. This left the girls alone together.

Shit

"Y-yeah?" Emma asked, staring baffled at Ellie.

Ellie genuinely smiled, laughing a little, "I'm really glad you could make it and we can be cool you know?" she glanced over Emma's shoulder at Jay and muttered, "Dare I say it, but you and Jay do look really good together." she then laughed, rolling her eyes, "I had this whole theory that you were only coming to get Sean back."

Emma laughed nervously, "You really thought I would?" she tried not to look guilty.

"A girl in love can think the unthinkable." joked Ellie. "You'd know," she smirked, glancing at Jay again, "I get it, the whole bad boy thing.." she almost blushed, "I think the best part is when they give up that whole 'mucho' game and try to be a better man for you."

Emma's eyes glanced at Jay at the check in desk. The clerk at the desk was flirting and twirling her ugly black hair at him, and he was totally ignoring it.

"Well," Ellie said, letting her go, "Go check in! Meet us down stairs for dinner."

Emma nodded, smiling sadly as Ellie waved and left. She then frowned and went to the desk where Jay stood.

"Your suite," smiled the female clerk, hanging out the keys to them.

Emma's mouth dropped, glancing between him and Jay, "N-no, we had a two bed room, just a normal room. No suite."

Jay scratched his chin as he admitted, "I paid for a suite."

Emma felt her ego a bit bruised. She couldn't pay for this.. Jay could because he actually had REALLY good money from being a mechanic who ran Tonys shop.

"Jay I can't affor-"

"It's already paid for," he growled, wanting her to shut up and grabbed her arm. "Now lets go."

Five minutes later, Emma and Jay were in their 10th floor suite – an attractive, comfortable, luxurious room with a grand view of a lake. But one bed.

"Jay..." Emma drifted, staring at the bed as if it were evil and trying to start a fight with her.

Jay just walked around her and went to the beds right side to grab the wine bottle off of the night table. He flopped onto the bed, sitting up against the pillows and bit the cork off the wine.

"Attractive." Emma hoped he didn't do this with a girl he would actually bring here romantically. This wasn't..romantic, right? "Jay, there was suppose to be two beds," she lifted her fingers, "TWO!"

"Well," Jay said, looking around and giving her a dumb look like this was only ONE bed.

That was the problem.

He smirked and said before he took a gulp of wine, "Promise me you'll be on your best behavior,"

Emma shot him a look, but went over and laid down next to him with a sigh. They laid there, in comfortable silence. Emma finally admitted, "I can't believe I am doing this."

She seriously had intentions of stealing the groom from the bride. Had she finally gone insane? It was so nice to see Sean though. He was right, they had always been close and known another since childhood..

"Yea," Jay admitted, turning his head towards her and handed her the bottle, "I'm the one whose usually so evil." he smirked almost proudly.

Emma rolled her pretty hazel eyes at him but smiled.
