Chapter 2: The Haunting of Hambridge Part 1

It was dark and stormy night. The night Graud the Hambridge University Library was making his rounds. When suddenly he heard something loud. He looked around. There was nothing there. He was starting to worry. Then a glowing figure appeared behind him.

"Aaaaa! Help!" he screamed and ran away.

The next morning, The gang drove in the Mystery Machine to Hambridge.

"All Right, Gang! We're almost there!" said Fred

"Where? The Malt Shop?" said Shaggy

"Don't you guys ever think of anything else?" said Velma

"Yeah. Like Sometimes we think of Breakfast and Lunch!" said Shaggy

"Reah! Runch!" said Scooby

So what's the story this time?" said Daphne

"My old neighbourhood librarian, Mr. Dimmsdale has just been in charge of the Hambridge University Library. However It seems the Library is filled with ghosts!" said Velma

"Rhosts?" said Scooby

"Zoinks!" said Shaggy

"A Haunted Library? Interesting." said Fred

The gang soon arrived at the Hambridge University Library. There met a tall skinny man with glasses and black hair and a beard. He was wearing a white shirt with a green vest over top, grey pants and white shoes. That was Alan Dimmsdale.

"Velma Dinkley. You're late!" He said "And speaking of late, You still owe a two dollar late charge on the junior detective handbook."

"That was in the fourth grade!" said Velma

"We'll solve this matter later, Miss Dinkley." said Mr. Dimmsdale. "Now it seems you and your friends have made quite a name for yourselves dealing with ghouls and ghosts."

"We always get our monster!" said Fred

"Or Man in a Monster suit as it usually turns out." said Daphne

"All the ghost, ghouls and monsters we meet turn out to be regular people in masks and costumes, trying to cover up some illegal thing or something." said Velma

"Is that so?" said Mr. Dimmsdale, opening the front door.

Inside the gang saw blue ghosts and green ghosts floating around carrying objects with them. The gang's jaws dropped open! Those ghost weren't fake. They were real!

"Jeepers! Or Maybe not!" said Daphne

"Although sometimes we have met real monsters." said Velma

"All right! You know the drill! Let's split up and solve this mystery!" said Fred "Shaggy, Why don't You and Scooby investage the basement."

"Hey! Like why do we always get the basement?" said Shaggy

"Rasement? Ruh-uh!" said Scooby

"Like No Way! Like there's always freaky stuff in basements!" said Shaggy

"Reah!" said Scooby

"I'm so sorry. We've lost the key to the basement." said a short man with glasses from behind Shaggy and Scooby. He had a white shirt, a grey jacket, brown pants and black shoes.

"See? we can't go! There's Key!" said Shaggy

"Allow me to introduce Walter Peabody, my assistant. He's in charge of restoring old books." said Mr. Dimmsdale

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Peabody." said Fred, shaking his hand

"The pleasure is all mine." said Mr. Peabody

"A missing key?" said Velma "Let's keep our eyes pillled for it."

"While you keep your eyes pilled for keys, We'll keep our eye pilled for Ghosts. So we know where to run." said Shaggy

"Reah." said Scooby

"Let's go in." said Fred

And so the gang entered the library unaware of what was ahead.
