A/N: One reviewer asked me to put smut in this story; I just want to know who wanted that and who didn't. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to leave it in the review box! Thanks for reading, btw. Read and review, please!
Jack's POV:
I was waiting outside Kim's door when I heard some yelling. I just assumed it was her dad asking why she was home so late. Then I heard glass cracking and a groan.
I opened the door and saw Kim's eyes flutter and then close. I smelled the burning floors and picked Kim up and put her in the car before going back for the things in the foyer.

I was playing with Brie in the hospital waiting room. Brie's favorite game was the Itsy-Bitsy Spider.
I texted Jerry, the second in command of the Creed, and told him where I was. After I sent the message, I received a text from an unknown number. I opened the video and it showed a car starting to turn onto Santa Monica Boulevard, that's Paola's car! Then out of nowhere, the car was run over by a red semi truck and caught fire. You actually thought that we were lying, ten years ago, when we said we would get you back? But this is just the beginning Brewer. –M.
I saved the message and quickly called Jerry, holding Brie close to my body, away from harm. "Jerry get your ass over here, now. Bring everyone." I said, hanging up without explanation.
"Kimberly Crawford?" A short nurse said, jotting something down on her clipboard.
"Right here," I said, grabbing Brie's diaper bag and following the nurse back into the hallway.
"Jack Brewer, right?" The nurse said. I nodded hesitantly before she continued speaking. "I'm Grace, I've just started college at UCLA and I was in the car behind Paola when the accident happened. She was my mentor; she'd come every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and come around the hospital with me. Paola talked about you, Kim, and Gabriella all of the time. She told me to tell you, after she had passed away, that she was the leader of the Creed until you turned sixteen and that's why she's dead. She and your father started the gang up back in college, which is why she wanted you and Kim to be such good friends. Marcel's gang has been trying to get back at the Brewer-Crawford gang since before you were born. There are guys all over the country who know who you are and are vowed to protect you. There's a penthouse in New York with five bedrooms in your name. Everyone who works there is in the gang. Trust no one without this tattoo. It was a 'B' and a 'C' linked together. Your father asked Paola to give you these letters after her death. There's a black Tahoe with everything that you need in the parking lot, right next to your car. Report all of this information to Kimberly once you all are in the car and on the interstate. Your destination is already in the new vehicle. You'll be stopping at a hotel tonight, tomorrow night, and the complete the journey the next day. I'll be meeting you in New York in two days. Good luck." She said, walking away. How does one simply dump all of the information on you and just walk away?
I turned around and saw that I was at Kim's room. I put the car keys and letters in the pocket with my phone and walked in. She was smoothing out the wrinkles in the pink dress that she wore today. She then slipped on her flats, put on her earrings, and grabbed her purse. "I'm tired of hospitals, Jack. Let's get out of here." She said, walking up to me, taking Brie and walking away.
When we got to the lobby, Jerry and the gang were all waiting in the waiting room.
Kim's POV:
"Why is everyone here?" I whispered to Jack.
"I need to talk to them really quick, then I need to talk to you, in private; it's really important." He said, seriously what's that bad? I've already lost my mother; it doesn't get much worse than that!
As Jack walked to the gang, a girl walked out of the nurses' station and approached me. She had long, chestnut hair and dark brown eyes. She more no makeup but had an excellent taste in style. She had on a relaxed outfit; a white tank top neatly tucked into a pair of giraffe printed shorts, and she wore white Keds on her feet. She had a white Michael Kors bag, my favorite brand, and double pearl earrings. "I'm Grace Michelle Moore. I'll be going with you to New York." She said, sticking her hand out for me to shake. I shook it warily, giving her a confused look. "Oh, Jack didn't tell you yet?" She asked with true shock.
Jack's head perked up at the sound of his own name and rushed over to me when he saw me with the new girl. "Hi, Grace. Would it be possible for you to meet my second in command, his name is Jerry. Black hair, leather jacket, leather pants, and combat boots." He said, gently ushering her away.
He quickly filled me in on everything before rounding the gang up and telling everyone but Jerry and Grace that they were flying out to NYC in two days.
When we got to the car, I sat in the back seat with Grace and Brie. As soon as Gabriella was settled in, I was out like a light.
Jack's POV:
We've been on the road for two hours and we're finally entering Arizona.
"Yo, Boss." Jerry started in the passenger's seat.
I looked in the review and saw three sleeping girls. "Jer, we've been friends since before we were born; when it's not in front of the gang, I'm still Jack." I said, sighing at the end.
"Jack, who's the chick in the back? We've never seen her before. This is mad crazy, yo." I said, gesturing to Grace.
"Her name is Grace. Paola mentored her; she's basically a nurse for the gang. We'll stop in Phoenix and I'll explain the rest later."

Kim's POV:
"Kimmy, wake up. We're taking a break from the road." I heard Jack softly say to me.
"Where are we? Is it really safe to stop?" I mumbled, wanting to go back to sleep.
"We're in Arizona; we're going to start driving again at eight tomorrow night. We're going to be fine, I promise."
When I finally opened my eyes, I saw Jack holding Gaby, whose teeth were latched onto the necklaces that I had bought for him over the years. He reached his hand out to me, which I took before slowly dragging myself to our suite. After going to the room, Jack handed me his t-shirt to sleep in. I went to the bathroom to change. I smiled when I exited the bathroom and saw Jack softly snoring with Brie laying on his chest.
I got into the bed beside him and rolled over before landing in a slumber full of nightmares.
It was a dream. I know it's a dream. It's my mother and father arguing. My dad is yelling at my mother, asking why she couldn't have a daughter who wasn't a fucked up slut. When my mother tried to defend me, he locked her in the car and set it on fire. All I could hear were her screams of agony.
I shot up quickly, panting and putting my hands over my mouth to stop the screams that weren't really coming out. Jack sat up next to me, looking around wildly alert. When his eyes landed on mine, they flooded with relief. "What's wrong, Kim?" I looked past him a bit and saw Brie soundly sleeping in her pack-n-play.
"She didn't deserve it, Jack. I didn't even get to say goodbye." I said, finally breaking. Jack pulled me into his arms, kissing my head and whispering soothing words to me. That's how the night went until I fell asleep.
When I woke up, Jack was gone and so was Brie. In his spot was a note. Kim, Jerry and I went out to handle some business. Brie is in the living room or kitchen with Grace. Stay calm. Yesterday's clothes are washed and on the kitchen counter along with a credit card; I think you deserve a shopping spree. Be back by dinner. –Jack.
A ton of relief just washed over me, knowing that Brie was okay. She might now be okay, though! What if she's noticed that Mom is gone and she's sad; I couldn't live with myself if she was hurt, emotionally or physically.
I walked out to the kitchen, grabbing my clothes and kissing almost completely naked Gaby and waving at Grace. I grabbed my clothes and went to shower.

Because Jack forgot to get out clothes from the car, and only the jewelry box and sweatshirt, Grace, Gaby, and I were now walking into Charlotte Russe, in search for outfits for dinner tonight.
As Grace and I were looking through dresses, I decided that I should probably get to know her better; apparently, she was thinking the same thing. "You can go first, I said, putting Gaby back in her stroller, after she fell asleep.
"What's with you and Jack?" I gave her a confused look at her bluntness before she continued. "I mean I know I just got here and all, but he really likes you; you can see it in his eyes. He looks at you like you're the only girl in the world. It's so cute! Oh my God, you should have seen how he looked at you when he bought you in the hospital. Jesus Kim, how can you not see that he freaking worships you. Like, I didn't know it was possible to be that oblivious. And then the way he looks at Gabriella; like she's the perfect and most fragile thing in the world. He's going to be a fantastic father and if we're being honest, y'all would have some gorgeous children. I personally think its love. "She said, lifting a blue dress up and showing it to me. "But maybe that's just me. What do you think?" She asked spinning it in her hand.
"I totally think that you should get that dress and Jack's credit card agrees with me." I said, giggling at the last part. She put her dress on her arm as we continued to find the perfect dresses. "You really think Jack likes me? I mean we've been best friends since he moved to Seaford when he was six; he'd always tell me not to tell Jerry because it broke the Bro-Code. Sure, there have always been feelings from my side, but I've thought that his were completely platonic. Everyone around us always accused us of dating, but he always made it clear that it wasn't even a possibility. I mean, we've always been the town's most popular scandal, 'the star-crossed lovers of Seaford; the major's eldest and the town's gang leader. My father has hated him since he found out about his dad's murder; but he's been self sufficient since he was eight! What's not to admire? And then, when my father found out that all of my relationships were ending because they wanted me to put them before Jack, he flipped and told my mom that I was never allowed to be with him anymore. Mom, she really loved him. She acted as though she was Jack's mother. She'd always tell me, "You know I have to be extra nice to your future husband, or else, he may not want to marry you." Despite all of my mother's encouragement, he's never made a move on me. "You know what? I'm tired of being with the wrong guy every time. Jack's gonna grow some balls and ask me out." I whipped around and marched off to find a dress.

After hours and hours of talking, I found that Grace was a lot like me and now, we were practically best friends. She's actually my first girl friend and it's fantastic! I've found out so many things about her; including the fact that she likes pale, hairy Latinos with black hair and the IQ of a newborn. We decided to have a major wardrobe makeover. Grace got some fabulous highlights as well! After we got back at three o'clock, we decided to tan until five, so that we could be ready by six thirty. I ended up getting a white dress with a high collar and triangular cutouts on the top. It contrasted with my slightly sun-kissed skin.
"Kim, it's time to get Gaby ready!" She'd been asleep since we came outside. She was in her car seat with her entire body covered by the seat cover. Don't worry, she still had sun screen on and there was a mini fan inside.
I decided to bathe her in the kitchen sink. I took tons of pictures of Brie in the sink with suds in her curly blonde hair.
I let her walk around in her diaper, deciding not to change her until I'm ready. Grace was in the shower while I was washing Gaby so that when I was done, I could shower and she'd still be safe.
I took a quick shower to ensure that Grace, Gaby, and I could be ready before the boys got back.
I wasn't even in the shower for ten minutes before Grace was banging on the door for me to get out.
We were both in the fluffy robes that the hotel provided and Gaby was sitting on the bed watching Bubble Guppies on her Leap Pad. We sat at the double vanity and started on our hair. I did a loose waterfall braid and curled the ends and she did a wrap around, pancaked fishtail braided bun. It was so complicated. (On profile!) For our makeup, Grace left hers simple with winged eye liner, mascara, and a touch of shimmering eye shadow. She dabbed on a little nude lipstick before rubbing clear lip gloss across her lips, rubbing them together before getting up to get dressed. For me, I did a slightly subtle brown smoky eye. After putting on mascara and eyeliner, I swiped on a matte red lipstick.
I went over to the bed and brushed Brie's curly, brown locks before pinning one side back with a beautiful ivory bow, when Grace came out, she grabbed Gabriella's dress. (Brie, Gaby, and Gabriella are all Kim's little sister) Grace looked gorgeous. She decided on the blue dress for dinner tonight. The dress was paired with a pair of cute, nude high heels and a nude handbag. She also wore a gold, Aztec cuff and gold, triangle studs.
I went to the bathroom and pulled my dress on. I slipped on my crimson heels and grabbed my matching purse turned diaper bag. I was walking out when someone knocked on the door. Grace got up to answer the door but, I signaled that I would get the door so that she could put on Brie's matching ivory shoe and peach, tulle dress.
I opened the door and was met with a rather dashing Jack. He wore a simple black suit and tie with a white and black pinstriped shirt. But what really made me love his new look was his hair. (Like in Spyfall) "Kim you look gorgeous." He said, coming in. He passed me, probably looking for Gabriella. I was about to shut the door when I saw Jerry. He was wearing a tweed, gray suit with a crisp, white shirt, and a skinny black tie.
"Jerry?" I asked, his hair was slicked back nicely, when I noticed that he, too, got a haircut.
"The one and only. Now, where's Grace?" He said, shoving me out of the way.
I followed him to mine and Jack's room and saw Jack kissing Gaby all over and telling her how beautiful she looked as she was giggling. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 6:15. "Jack we gotta go, like now! It's already 6:15."
He looked up panicked. He picked Gaby up and grabbed my hand, pulling me out of the door and into an elevator. "Jack slow down." I said, panting. "We left Grace and Jerry." I said, frowning a bit.
"He's going to ask her out, that's why they're alone." He said, calmly.
"Oh! She's going to say yes, we've been talking about him." I said, facing the door.
"I bought your birthday present today." I whipped around quickly, hoping that he'd at least give me a hint at what it was. "It's too bad that you have to wait until midnight to see what it is." He said, smirking. Every year, since we were eight, Jack and I gave each other birthday presents at midnight.
"But Jaaaaaack." I whined. He gave me a kiss on my forehead and told me to wait.
When we finally went outside, I saw a car different than the one we had last night. "EEEEEEK A RANGE ROVER?" I practically sprinted to the passenger's side, without twisting my ankle.
Jack just chuckled while putting Brie in her car seat and getting in.
When we arrived at the valet station at Nice Tartes, a fancy French restaurant, I saw Grace and Jerry walking in, holding hands too! Grace looked around and saw me and tugged Jerry's hand to make him stop. We walked in and as Jack and Jerry gave them the reservation information, I started talking to Grace. "So, what kind of car did Jerry get for y'all?"
"A Jaguar XRS-S Convertible; it's been my dream car since I saw one in Santa Monica." She said, sighing dreamily. "What about you?" She asked.
"A Range Rover Sport; it's the car that I wanted, but my dad bought me a Corolla instead." I said.
I conversation was sadly cut short due to the waiter leading us to a table.
*Time Skip*
Dinner was fantastic, aside from the waiter hitting on Grace and Jerry asking for a new one. However, it was crazy expensive. When I confronted Jack about recklessly spending money, he told me that we had over fifteen million dollars to each of our names. Every year, the members of the gang, which is over one hundred, have to give ten thousand dollars to both my mother and Jack's father just for this cause.
We decided to go back to the hotel room and changed out of our nice dinner clothes and into out lazy day clothes. I wore a loose, white, Nike tank top with a pair of black and white running shorts, and black and white running shoes. I took my hair down and brushed it all up into a sloppy bun. I made a last minute decision and grabbed my sweatshirt, knowing how cold it could be. I washed my face and reapplied ONLY mascara. Grace was wearing something similar to me, yoga pants, a white Nike t-shirt, and shoes similar to mine. Her hair was also in a messy bun and she had on hardly any makeup. Jack and Jerry were both dressed in black sweatpants and white t-shirts. Each of the guys had two cans of Red Bull ready to go. I quickly got a fussy Brie into a black and gray tracksuit before we left.
