I walked through the halls after school to go to the parking lot to get to my motorcycle. Elsa has been giving me the silent treatment, but every time I looked over at her she would blush almost immediately. I almost pushed the door open when I heard someone playing a piano. I walked away from the door and walked towards the classroom the music was coming from.

"Say something I'm giving up on you." A person started to sing. I froze in front of the door. I looked in the window and saw Elsa's ponytail. I felt my eyes widen.

"I'll be the one if you want me to." She continued playing the piano. I gaped at how beautiful her voice was.

"Anywhere I, would've followed you." She continued. I pressed my ear to the door.

"Say something I'm giving up on you!" She sang. I peeking in the window again and saw her eyes close as she sang.

"And I, am feeling so small.

I was over my head,

I know nothing at all." Her voice was sweet and gentle. I wanted to walk into the room and clap.

"And I, will stumble and fall!

I'm still learning to love, just starting to crawl." She sang.

"Say something I'm giving up on you!

I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you!

Anywhere I what would've followed you!

Say something I'm giving up on you!" I listened intently. She sounded so fair. So kind.

"And I, will swallow my pride.

You're the one that I love, and I'm saying goodbye!" She sounded so sad. I watched as she sang and got deeper and deeper into the lyrics.

"Say something I'm giving up on you!

And I'll be the one if you want me to!

And anywhere I would've followed you! O-o-o-o-o-oh!

Say something I'm giving up on you!" I saw something on the piano start to shine. I tried to find out what it was, but her hands kept covering it.

"Say something I'm giving up on you.

Say something…" I watched as her head lifted. She opened her eyes. She must've seen my reflection through her glasses because she turned around and almost fell off the piano bench. She quickly pulled on her leather gloves and ran towards the door inside the classroom and exited. I quickly ran to the front doors and ran towards her car as she ran. I grabbed her arm and pressed her against the car door. She screamed and tried to throw punches at me and tried to kick me. I held her down and she started to calm herself.

"Elsa! Why were you running?" I asked. She stared at me.

"How dare you eavesdrop on me?!" She shrieked. I stared at her.

"I was going to my motorcycle and I heard someone playing the piano. Is that a crime that I wanted to see who it was?" He asked.

"ONCE YOU FIND OUT WHO WAS PLAYING YOU DON'T STAY AND WATCH, YOU IDOIT!" She shouted.

"I'm sorry!" I stated. "You have a really nice voice." I murmured the ending. She smirked.

"No I don't." She said. I stared at her.

"You did not just deny that." I said. She snorted.

"I don't!" She said.

"You're cute when you're denying." I said. The smirked washed off her face.

"I have to go." She said. I grabbed her arm again.

"Elsa-"

"No, Jack." She said. She wasn't even looking at me in the eye anymore. "I'll see you tomorrow." She said. She grabbed my hand and took it off of her arm.

"See you tomorrow." I sighed. She entered her car and drove off.

The next day, I entered first period, math, and sat down in my chair. I watched the doorway to see if Elsa will enter. Everyone else came in, besides Elsa. The bell rang, then the tardy bell. I kept watching the door and waiting for Elsa's slim petite figure slip through the door. No sign of her. I finally decided to pay attention to Mr. North's lecture on pi. I rolled my eyes. I learned this stuff in eighth grade. I glanced over at the door when it opened suddenly.

"Mr. North, there was a car accident in front of the school." The principal said. My eyes widened. Oh no. I thought. Mr. North exited the room after excusing himself. Once he left, I got out of my chair and opened the classroom window and climbed through. I ran to the front of the school and stopped dead in my tracks. I saw the Snow's black convertible that Elsa's parents drive. There was an ambulance parked next to the crushed car and a semi-truck that was tipped over. My hearts stopped. I saw a paramedic rolling someone away. I saw white hair covered in blood. I knew it was Elsa. I ran forward.

"ELSA!" I cried. Mr. North turned my way.

"Jack?" He asked. I ignored him and continued running towards the girl I love.

"ELSA!" I cried again. I ran over to the ambulance and stopped next to her. I grabbed her hand.

"Hey, kid. Back away. We need to take these people to the hospital-"

"No!" I interrupted. "I'm not leaving!" I felt my eyes blur with tears.

"Kid, you need to-"

"I SAID I'M NOT LEAVING HER!" I shouted. I felt a strong hand land on my shoulder.

"Jack, come back to class-"

"NO!" I shouted. I yanked his hand off my shoulder and grabbed Elsa's hand again.

"Kid, you can come along to the hospital, but you'll have to wait in the waiting room." I stared at the paramedic. I quickly thanked her and climbed into the ambulance with Elsa.

I sat with my head in my hands in the waiting room. I want to see Elsa. I want to make sure she was okay. I heard the hospital entrance door open. I didn't bother to look up until I heard my name.

"Jack!" I lifted my head to see my sister running towards me. She pulled me into a tight hug and held me close. She started to shake. I hugged her and turned to my parents.

"Jack, honey." My mother said. I stood up and accepted her embrace. I felt myself start to cry again. I heard my father walk in from parking the car.

"Ms. Snow and Ms. Snow are ready for visitors." The nurse said. I quickly ran to Elsa's room. When I got in, she had a cast on her left leg and right arm, her head was wrapped and she had a cast wrapping her ribs. My breath hitched. She turned towards me and started to cry. I hastily walked towards her. I grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it. She was shaking.

"Jack." She whispered. I shushed her.

"I'm here." I said. Her tears ran down her face and dripped onto her arm cast.

"Jack I was so scared." She whispered. I started to shake.

"I climbed out the classroom window to get to you." I said. She stared at me.

"You did?" She asked. I nodded. "Why?"

"I-I-erm." I stuttered. She gave me a caring look. I could tell she knew why.

"Thank you Jack. It makes me feel better knowing you ran to me." She said. I smiled.

"How do you feel?" I asked. She took a shaking intake of breath.

"It hurts, Jack." She said. "My ribs." She started to cry again.

"I know, Elsie. I know. I'm here. I'm here." I said. Her tear filled eyes stared into mine.

"How is Anna?" She asked. I shook my head.

"I don't know. Emma went to go see her. She must be awake if she was able to see visitors." I said. Elsa smiled. I smiled back at her.

"And my parents?" She asked. I stared.

"I-I don't know." I said. "They only told us that you and Anna were ready for visitors." I said. Elsa looked at me.

"Are they still asleep?" She asked. I looked at her.

"Elsa, I really don't know-"

"Ms. Snow?" The nurse said. Elsa looked up.

"Y-yes?" Elsa replied.

"I'm afraid I have some news for you." The nurse said. She turned to me. "Could you leave?" She asked me. I nodded and got up. Elsa squeezed my hand.

"I'll be back, Elsie. I promise." I said. She smiled. I walked out of the room.

Elsa watched as Jack exited the room. She looked up at the nurse who suddenly had sorrow in her eyes. Elsa suddenly had the feeling something happened to one of her siblings.

"Ms. Snow," She said, "your parents passed away in the car accident." She continued. The color in Elsa's face drained. She stared at the nurse.

"W-what?" Her voice was shaking and cracking as she talked.

"I'm so sorry, Ms. This is such a tragedy." The nurse said. Elsa started to shake.

"And Anna?" She asked.

"Perfectly fine." The nurse said. Elsa felt like she was going to hurl.

"M-my parents are dead?" She asked. The nurse nodded and exited the room.

I suddenly heard a scream. I looked up and saw the nurse exiting Elsa's room. I ran to the room and pushed the door open.

"Elsa!" I shouted. I looked at the bed and saw Elsa's face red and she wasn't breathing. "Elsa!" I said again I ran to her side and grabbed her hand. "Elsa, what's wrong?" I asked. "Elsa, breathe!" I said. She started to breathe, but once her face wasn't so blue, I saw that it was very pale.

"M-m-m-m-m." Her lip quivered. She couldn't finish. She burst out crying.

"Elsa, breathe!" I said trying to soothe her.

"MY PARENTS ARE DEAD!" She screamed.
