Here, I told you real soon.
Chapter 3: Walking with Mother
I had started to stand all on my own the other day
…
I knew how to walk but
…
I wanted mother to watch me when I took my first step
…
The black wrinkly ladies have been trying to get me to walk but I don't want to walk to them
…
I only want to walk to mother
…
She hasn't been here in a couple days
…
I want to go find her
…
But I want her to see me walk too
…
I don't know what to do
…
I don't want mother to be missing again
…
BANG!
…
I look to the door
There she is.
…
I smile as I look at her usual tight green outfit. It's covered in that red sticky stuff like always. I reach out for her. She remains emotionless but she starts to come towards me.
…
I don't notice the black wrinkly ladies quickly leave the room
…
I only care about mother
…
I take a step towards her
…
And then another
…
She doesn't smile like I expect
…
I stop
…
She looks horrified
…
Mother rushes up to me and takes me into her arms
…
I want to ask her what's wrong but it comes out as a concerned gurgle
…
I reach up to her face and stoke it comfortingly
…
She didn't pay me any attention as she walked
…
She stopped when she came to that field of red flowers
…
She knelt there with me and says to me almost desperately
"You are my daughter
…
Forever."
…
"You will not leave this place."
…
"This bond is only for you and me."
…
Then she simply held me close
…
Her smell was really thick in my nose
And there we are.
