Note: I got some great feedback from a few users here and that really means a lot to me. My characters in my stories will be just based off their original traits. If they were always their original selves, nothing would ever happen! So while I will take all reviews by heart and try to add them to the stories, the characters will be more OOC as I write them then some other authors may write them. I hope everyone can keep enjoying my story all the same! Thank you for reading and your continued support!
Meg opened her crusted eyes open and looked at the harsh black ceiling. She was confused about how she once again was here then remembered everything that happened the last day. She groaned and rolled over and tried to glue her eyes shut again.
"Meggggg!" Pain's rough voice echoed right outside her door while Panic's pacing sounded right next to it. They must have been ordered to bring her to the breakfast hall when she awoke. If only she had kept quiet...
"Meg, are you awake yet?" The minions waked over to her bed and poked the edges of it.
"Do you think we should leave her alone?"
"But if Hades waits anymore he will get even madder."
"Well we have been talking a lot, do you think she could have been woken up by us?"
"No no we heard a groan, that is usually a sign of waking up for Meg."
Meg sighed and rolled over to face the conversation. "I'm up boys, won't you shut up now?"
Panic jumped and tried to give reason why they were in her room at all, "Mornin Meg! Hades would like you to be at the breakfast hall as soon as you possibly can!"
With their deed done, the minions raced off to their next task.
Meg huffed out her breath and threw the sheet off the shivered her shine off from the cold air hitting her skin. She wondered what she could possibly say to Hades to let her stay longer. She went over the events leading up to her running from Hercules.
She remembered floating in a white abyss then when hope and memories were fading away, she felt a sharp tug. Then she felt Hercules' warm embrace as she took her first breath again. She was lifted up by Hercules and a cloud appears under their feet and they ascended to heavens. They came to one large cloud and there was every god covered in glowing auras with Zeus standing at the very top with his wife Hera. Once Hercules less her side, she watched on as he hugged his mother and met with his father.
Then she looked at all the cheering gods and goddesses and thought that she didn't belong here but Hercules did, he always did. She should and would not be the one to take it away from him. Not after he as done so much to rejoin his family again. She walked back to the cloud, no one stopped her or even saw her walk away, why care about some mortal women? She stepped on the little floating cloud and it drifted back to Earth slowly until she reached ground. Once she stepped on a thin road near the Underworld entrance the cloud evaporated into the wind and she heard a faint yell for her name. She covered her eyes and ran to the only place she felt vaguely welcome but even that may be a lie.
Whether she made the right decision or not is something no one knows. Meg stood up from her bed and slipped on a dark green dress with a new set of strappy shoes. She walked down the many halls out of her wing and into the dinning area where at the end of a long dark marble table was Hades and his flame hair was permanently fiery red. She has only seen his hair stay red for long periods of time when bad news came or another plan had failed.
"Sit down Meg" Hades saw her out of the corner of his eye while he slurped down a eyeball from a communal bowl that was almost empty.
Meg sat down at the other end but she could still feel the heat radiating out Hades.
"Come on, short pale and quiet. I'm sure you have something to say to me." Hades waved his hand and the bowl disappeared so nothing stood between Meg and him except the table.
Meg truly didn't know what to say. How could she explain anything to Hades, much less her reasoning to coming back here. Meg stared at the table, keeping her breathing as quiet as possible. Maybe if she wished it she could disappear.
"Meg Meg Meg Megara. Zeus can't see down here, none of the gods can and Hermes hasn't delivered me a message in eons. According to the sky above, you've disappeared. And if they found out you've come down here, they will think I've stolen you again. I'm not in much of a position to be giving out love advice but it seems you have some things to discuss with your lovely little boyfriend." Hades said the last word with disgust as he looked at Meg head on just to see her forehead and teeth biting a lip.
Meg decided she may as well talk or else she won't be getting anywhere. "I can't make him give up god hood for me, not after everything he has done to get it back. He deserves it more the anyone."
Hades red flames started creeping across the table and floor as his mad temper became more powerful."Wonder breath is searching the entire planet for you right now! Yet you sit here like it is a crime to be you!"
Meg closed her mouth with a sharp movement of her jaw. Hercules was searching for her? Of course he would be. He would never stop.
"Once you step out of the Underworld onto mortal ground, they will know where you are and have been. You need to get yourself together for that babe." Hades snapped his fingers and Meg saw black before her eyes till a second later she saw that she was one step away from the entrance of the Underworld.
Meg looked out onto the world from the dark ground she stood on, she could see the birds and the trees and even barely feel the breeze. Hercules would be with her in seconds once she stepped outside. She collected her thoughts and reviewed what she was thinking. She would not let Hercules give up god hood to be with her even if that meant she would lead a lonely life. She took a stride and left the Underworld behind her as the sun touched her skin.
