AN1: A lot of things have happened since my last update. Focusing more on my artwork and studies, which kind of drained my motivation to write. Other things in my personal life didn't help much either.
The following chapter was made possible with the collaborative efforts of my good buddy, Queen Articuno. Without her support and contribution, I would have declared this fan fiction dead by chapter 2. Hey, when we get back to your place, wanna play a few rounds of Project M? I promise I won't use Pikachu or Ganondorf."
"You better not," Queen Articuno scowled.
A young lady with long, flowing, sapphire-blue hair, with matching eyes wearing an ice-blue dress with a belt of blue feathers, with a silver crown studded with blue gemstones, and a scepter to match, was sprinting up the path.
"Where is my beloved Articuno?" the mysterious maiden exclaimed as she burst through the doors of the Smash Mansion.
"Um… Who are you?" a young boy with black spiky hair and brown eyes asked. The preteen was wearing light blue jeans with a red and white jacket and an identically-colored hat.
The lady turned around suddenly in surprise at the question. "Who am I?" she responded, "I'm Queen Articuno, ruler of all that is frigid and cold!" She suddenly spun around and extended her arm skyward. The youth was confused and impressed at the same time. Now she asked, "Who are you? I see that you obviously must be a Pokémon trainer due to the Poké Balls around your belt."
"Yes, that is correct." the young man replied. Queen Articuno was impressed. She started a discussion with Pokémon Trainer about their hometowns and other topics.
While she was talking with Pokémon Trainer, Queen Articuno felt a strange sensation. "What's wrong?" Pokémon Trainer inquired.
"I feel as if someone is watching me." Queen Articuno replied.
"You probably just imagined it." Pokémon Trainer responded.
"Hmm. You're probably right," she said.
Later in the conversation, she felt the strange sensation again. This time Pokémon Trainer noticed that this lady was acting quite odd. He soon dismissed that thought, seeing as how he had never met her before this point. Queen Articuno became curious about the strange feeling. She turned her head and saw a young man with spiked blonde hair wearing medieval garb in the colors of yellow and blue standing at the top of the staircase. Sheathed in a scabbard on his back was a large sword. Recognizing this youth, she sprinted towards him, crying out in a loud voice, "By the Legendary Pokémon, it's Isaac!"
The teenager was suddenly startled by the exclamation, and turning around, he saw the strange lady rushing towards him. Concentrating, he held out his hand and muttered an incantation under his breath. Suddenly, a large hand-shaped projectile manifested in front of him and hurtled towards the lady. Not noticing the projectile in her love-blind charge, Queen Articuno slammed into it. Stunned, she fell to the floor. Isaac then turned and walked away, muttering to himself, "Why did the elements curse me with such psychotic fangirls?"
Pokémon Trainer was shocked by what had just transpired. He stood there, with his mouth agape. Eventually, he shook off the feeling and went back towards his quarters. His beloved Charizard followed him.
"Wait a minute" another feminine voice called out. The double doors of the mansion were forcefully shoved open by the source of the voice. A young woman with long brown hair, clad in a Godzilla shirt and blue jeans marched down the foyer. "This is way too good to be my writing. Who hijacked my fan ficiton?"
Queen Articuno's eyes beamed as she saw the scowling young lady. "Hi, Kojinka" She cheerfully waved to her as she slid down the banister.
Kojinka stared at the woman in blue and sighed. "How did you get in here, and why are you dressed as a gijinka?"
"You let me make a guest appearance, remember?"
"Oh, yeah. I almost forgot about your Articuno persona."
"Now, it's all starting to make sense," Isaac sighed. The young adept overheard the chatter, and letting curiosity get the best of him, headed back down the corridor to look around the corner, making sure that neither female noticed him.
"Look, I don't think we should be here; Master Hand doesn't appreciate outsiders even if we're the ones writing this stupid fic."
"But we just got here, and I wanna find Marth."
"Are you fluent enough in Japanese to carry a conversation with him?"
Queen Articuno looked down. "I doubt it."
Suddenly the young ladies heard a deep voice clearing his throat.
Kojinka and Queen Articuno froze when they turned and saw the looming figure of Master Hand hovering above them, rolling his fingers impatiently.
"Uh, hi there," Kojinka stammered. "W-we were just about to leave. kthxbai"
Kojinka and Queen Articuno rush to the door. As the two make their exit, Kojinka trips over the threshold. She shakes her fist and yells "SAKURAI" from the top of her lungs.
Meanwhile a handset rang in one of the dorm rooms of the Fighters' wing. "Hello," Samus answered.
"HYES!" She heard a recording of Captain Falcon's voice. "SHOW ME YOUR MOOVS!"
"…You need to get out of this mansion more often, Douglas." Samus answered dryly.
Another voice on the line grumbled. "Grrr She's no fun!"
"Shut it, Lardo!" Another voice hissed. "You'll give us away!"
"Waluigi? If you don't turn those soundboards off, I swear, I'll shove my arm cannon down your scrawny little throat and fire a Zero Laser!"
Waluigi pressed on a few random buttons to make it sound like "Captain Falcon" was making a series of sexual grunts, and climaxing with his star KO voice clip from Melee.
Samus firmly pressed the end call button.
As of this AN, SSBI2 will be on yet another indefinite hiatus so I can work on a Smash Bros. fan fiction, that takes place in SSB for WiiU/3DS. However, I won't declare this fic 'dead' just yet; I may wish to come back if I come up with any ideas involving Brawl characters that didn't return to Smash 4.
Mr. Resetti popped out. "GRAAARRR! LISTEN UP PUNK! We need to have a little talk about this whole fan fiction business! You can't just leave these stories hanging with no updates for six years, and then end it with ONE LOUSY CHAPTER with NO PLOT DEVELOPMENT OR CLOSURE! AND WHERE WAS I IN ALL THIS? Why did you spend so much focus on those two Wario punks when Brawl offered such a WIDE RANGE of many OTHER CHARACTERS for you to work with? You only touched upon a small handful of characters the game has to offer! This is not how you write Super Smash Bros. fan fiction! Your first Insanity fic was better than this! At least it had a plot! It was crude and unimaginative, but it at least involved most of the cast to a certain extent, and kept the Internet pop-culture references to a minimum! You've made a disgrace of Shadow, which I normally wouldn't mind, but the way you did it WAS NOT FUNNY AT ALL! Queen Articuno's contribution was fine, but you, Miss Kojinka LuigiGodzillaGirl, make me sick! This is the worst Super Smash Bros. fan fiction I have ever had the misfortune of reading, and that is saying a lot! Please, for the greater good of the online Smash Brothers fan community, for , DeviantART, and what have ya, don't write anymore; there's enough garbage on these sites already! Now… SCRAM!" With his final scream, the mole drops back into his hole, bringing a close to this fanfic until further notice.
