Episode Three:

Thank You For Not Morphing

The girls are heading to a neighbor's house for a party, Spencer is a little apprehensive about going she knows her sisters are up to something. "Did you lock the door?" Spencer asks all her sisters who are happy to be out of the house. "Yes, Spencer, the door is locked," Hanna tells her guiding the way to the Ramsay's house three doors down on the opposite side of the street. "I only know one neighbor," Emily tells them. "That's the one that almost ran me over the other day while I was riding my bike home from school," she looks at them. "The house is pretty nice," Spencer says. "Spencer and I were best friends with the kids who grew up in the house before the Ramsay's," Aria begins to tell them. "Who even invited us?" she begins to question. "I think it was one of the twins?" Hanna tells them. "Well, at least we're going to a party to get out of the house," she adds towards Spencer.

When the girls get to the door, Parker Ramsay opens it, he's in his early twenties like the girls and he has green eyes that you can get lost in. He's the one with the twin, his sister Paisley is a few minutes older than him and she has the same eyes as him, that's the only fraternal twin similarity they have. Parker has dirty blonde hair and Paisley has mahogany brown hair. "Hey, the Hastings have made it," he says announcing them to the house. "Technically I'm a Fields," Emily says walking in with them. "I can't help it I was adopted," she adds. "That's fine, the more the merrier," he tells them. "Alright, drinks are in the dining room with some snacks. If you don't see something you like just let Pete know and he can go to the store and pick it up," he adds. "Thanks, Parker," Spencer tells him and watches as her sisters' drift apart to socialize at the party, except for Aria she sticks next to Spencer. "Look who I see," she says noticing Toby standing across the room talking to someone. "How do you guys know Toby Cavanaugh?" she asks just as Paisley and Pete come over to say hello. "Toby? We circle the same group of people," Pete tells her. "He seems nice," Paisley adds. "Hey, Spence, Aria, you two better have fun," she says hugging each girl. "For sure," Aria says.

The girls begin to socialize and have fun, about two hours later Spencer heads back to the house to grab something to help make drinks. As she walks up the steps she sees the front door is wide open. She creeps into the house and looks around for signs of anyone else in the house, she looks around, no one is in the house. But as she walks back down the stairs, a big dog is in front of her barking its head off. "Nice doggie," she says backing up by the front door, leading it out of the house. "Shoo," she says, moving her hand, using her powers to make the dog fly down the sidewalk where it whimpers and then runs off. Aria comes back by Spencer. "What happened?" she is concerned. "Someone broke in, the door was wide open," she says pointing out the door. "Let me get Toby," Aria says heading to the Ramsay's. After Toby searched the house, he told Spencer the good news. "I didn't see anyone is inside, but I want all of you to make sure nothing is missing and let me know if something is," he tells the girls, they agree to it. "It's probably nothing, someone probably just left the door open," he adds. Spencer gives Hanna a look. "I swear the door was locked," she tells her sister. "Well, good night, girls," he tells them. "Spencer, I'll see you tomorrow?" He asks her, she looks at him. "I have an interview tomorrow," she tells him. The girls head inside as they watch the party clear out, including Toby heading home. "I still had fun at the party," Emily said as she walks to the living room and plopping down on the couch, her sisters follow suit. "Maybe we should get an alarm system?" Aria asks. "You want to pay some guy to come and put an alarm in the house when it's full of four powerful witches?" Hanna questions her sister, who is pleading her case.

The next morning Aria is in the kitchen getting ready for work and pouring herself coffee in a plastic cup when Spencer comes down to make herself a cup. "Good morning," Aria tells her sister while she heads to the table to sit down. "Morning," Spencer begins to make coffee, "I can't be late for this interview, I shouldn't have gone out last night with the three of you, that was completely irresponsible," she begins to tell her. Aria rolls her eyes at her sister's comment. "Don't tell me you didn't have fun last night," she asks her sister, Spencer looks at her. "Not including the incident last night, I had an enjoyable time," she admits. Hanna walks into the kitchen, "Good morning, sisters," she announces as she walks in. "It feels weird being up before noon," she admits to them as she heads to the coffee maker to pour herself a cup. "Well, since you're up, why don't you do what we adults are doing, and look for a job," Spencer says and walks out of the kitchen after finishing up her coffee and heading out for the interview. Hanna looks at Aria, after hearing the door shut behind Spencer. "Does she always have to act like a bitch?" she asks Aria. "She cares about you, we all do," Aria informs her younger sister. "I don't care if you get a job, I don't care if you mooch off us until the day you die, but..." Hanna interrupts her sister's speech. "Dad's in town," she admits to her. "We talked last night, he wants to have dinner with us," Aria looks at her sister. "The four of us," her attention more perked up from that revelation. "He knows about Emily?" she asks. "I told him," she admits to herself. "Hanna..." she notices the clock. "I'll deal with you later," she tells her and leaves to head to her first day as a teacher.

Emily's sitting in class, listening to Professor Nam drone on about human sexuality. Emily's only in this class because it's a part of her criteria for social work. When he's done with his lecture he dismisses the class. As Emily walks passed his desk, he calls her name. "Ms. Fields," he catches her attention, she walks by him. "Yes, Sir," she says looking at him. "Your essay on the test was superb, I was wondering if you were in the study group that meets Tuesday evenings?" he asks her. "No, sir, I'm usually working evenings," she informs her teacher. "Oh, well, if your ever free I would love for you to check it out, maybe discuss your paper with your fellow classmates," he tells her. "I can see what I can do," she lets him know. "Well they meet up every Tuesday night in the library at 6 pm," he informs her. "I'll keep that in mind," she walks off when she walks out of the classroom to the school grounds, not the halls, her cell phone rings. She answers on the second ring, "Hello," she says waiting for someone to answer. "Hey, are you out of class yet?" Bre asks trying to get a second of Emily's time. She walks towards the cafeteria, so she can grab something to eat before her next class. "Yeah, I'm heading to the Cafe, are you on campus?" she asks her, just as Bre walks next to her. "Yeah, I have a class at noon," she says as both girls hang up their phones. Emily smiles as she looks at Bre's hair hanging down flowing in the slight breeze. Her phone beeps then beep again. "Looks like your one popular lady," Bre tells her. "It's nothing," Emily tells her as she glances at the text messages. One was from her brother, the other from Hanna. They walk into the Cafeteria and Bre looks at her. "What do you want?" Instead of answering Emily heads towards the yogurt bar and grabs a medium cup. She goes to the strawberry mango machine and puts a good amount in, then adds some fresh blueberries, cherries, and granola. Bre grabs a cup and does strawberry and adds strawberry, blackberry, almond slices, and a little cherry. As they are doing that, Bre's talking to her. "What are you doing tonight?" she asks her.

"I'm not sure yet," Emily tells her as they walk to the drinks. "Do you want a water?" she asks. Bre takes a second to think about it. "Sure," Emily grabs two bottles of water in her hands and walks to the checkout line. "It looks like I might have plans, that was my brother and sister on the phone. One wants to know if I'm available and the other said we have dinner plans," Bre looks at her. "Let me guess, the sister said you had plans and the brother wants to know your availability." Emily smiles letting her know that she's correct. "So, looks like I got plans," she says. The girls pay for their snacks and enjoy some time together. "What about tomorrow?" Bre asks wanting to hang out with her. They find a spot and sit together face to face and just start talking. "Tomorrow?" Emily begins to say, "I work until midnight," she begins to tell her, "do you want to do something afterward?" she asks her, really wanting to hang out with her. She thinks about it, and tells her, "That sounds like a plan," she says and smiles. "You can always come to my work and hang out by the bar," Emily adds, tempting Bre into hanging out with her at work. "I'll keep that option in mind," she says smiling at her.

It was a good morning for Spencer, she walked into the elevator at Kingston Auction House and pressed the up button, she was meeting with the inherited owner Wren Kingston. She waits for the elevator to open as her phone rings, she answers it and walks into the elevator with four men standing inside, two more walks in right behind her. "Toby, I don't have time right now," she says leaning in to press the 13th-floor button, but it's already lit up. "I just want to talk about last night, I didn't know you were going to be there," he tells her, she is trying to get out of the conversation. "I know that we haven't really talked about the other night, I think we should get together to talk about it," he says as the elevator stops of the fourth floor opens and lets someone out. Spencer doesn't want to talk about this over the phone. "I'm on the way to an interview that I don't think I'm half qualified for," she says trying to figure out what to do. "Sure, that sounds good," she looks the time on her phone, she then looks at the number for the elevator and starts forcing it up. "Let's discuss this after my interview, please," she tells him, watching everyone trying to figure out what's wrong with the elevator. It stops on the thirteenth floor and looks at them. "Just my luck," she says and walks out.

As Aria walked into the halls of Rosewood High School, her palms felt sweaty and she was just as nervous as she was on her first day of work at the museum. She had no clue what she was doing and wasn't sure how she felt completely about this job, she just thought it would be a good opportunity for helping her reach kids who don't truly understand the passion that they can express with art. As she walked to the front office, Principal Montgomery walks up to Aria, he extends his hand to shake hers. "Good morning, Ms. Hastings," he says as they shake hands when she does she drops them to her side. "Good morning, Principal Montgomery," she begins to say. "It must feel weird being back in the halls you were just in a couple of years of ago," he tells her, making her realize it's been five years since she graduated from the school and now she was back. "Why don't I show you to your room?" he asks, she agrees, and follows him out of the front office and start walking to the art room on the other end of campus. If she remembers correctly it was near the English Hall and close to the Cafeteria. She spoke to a recent teacher at the school, Meredith Sorenson, they went to Rosewood together, but Meredith was two years ahead of her and she began teaching after she attended Hollis. Aria looked her up on Facebook to see if it was any different being a teacher than a student and get a look at it. As Byron stopped in front of the same Art Room, Aria noticed a teacher across the hall from her, he was young, maybe a year or two older than her and had dark hair and eyes that she could get lost in, when he notices her in the hall, he smiles at her, she smiles back, then he goes onto his lesson. Aria walks into the room that doesn't have students yet but has canvas' set up and tons of equipment. "If you haven't heard, Mr. Tolano had a heart attack and decided to retire early," he says and freaks her out a little. "He didn't?" she tries to confirm her worst suspicions. "He's retired, said he was going to live his life, that's when I reached out to Duncan at the museum and he told me about you," he tells her. "Who's the teacher across the hall?" she asks out of curiosity. "Oh, Mr. Fitz, he just started here as well, he's a nice young man," he begins to brag about the new teacher. "You should introduce yourself sometime today. Well, Ms. Hastings, this is your classroom, your blank canvas, you don't have a homeroom or a first period, but your student log is on the computer for each class period," he tells her pointing out the computer on a podium that's near her desk. "Enjoy your first day, your first class starts in," he checks the clock on the wall then looks back at her. "Fifteen," he says and exits the room. Aria looks around the room, she's ready to take on this challenge.

As Spencer walked to the office doors of Wren Kingston, she recollected her thoughts than knocked firmly on the door. A second later a beautiful woman with medium length deep brown hair opened the door. Spencer looks at her, "I'm looking for Wren Kingston," she says confidently. "Come in, he's waiting for you," she says with a fake smile on her face. "I'm his partner, Melissa Kingston," she says as they walk to a man's back, Wren's fixing his tie when he turns around, Spencer recognizes him from the elevator. "Ms. Hastings," he says intrigued by her a little and with a British accent. "I'm so glad you made it," he adds. "For a job, you don't think you're qualified for," he teases her. She looks at him. "Sorry about that, I just, I wasn't sure why you called me," she says, letting him know how she feels. "Ms. Hastings, Spencer," he says as he walks around the desk and leads her to some artwork while talking to her. "Last year I acquired the law firm you previously worked for with some legal issues we were going through, I remember him mentioning you had a degree in art history, so I called and asked if you were available. He told me you no longer worked with them, but still gave raving recommendations and your information," he says and looks at her. "Would you like some water or coffee?" he asks. "No, thank you," she says politely declining. "What do you think of these?" He asks of some pictures that are leaning against the wall, near some paint cans and a ladder which has a can on top of it. Melissa walks by them, stands near Wren. Spencer looks over the first picture it's of a small village with life like grass and trees, a small cabin house in the background. "I would say that this picture would cost somewhere between 10 to 15 grand. It's an authentic Rueben's, you can tell by brush strokes, they're all going in the same direction and he always hides an R somewhere in his pictures," she says pointing out a small almost unnoticeable R on the roof of the house. "What about this one?" he says as Melissa bumps into the ladder making the paint fall by Spencer before it can splash on her she uses her powers to push it onto Melissa's shoes, near her. "Oh, My Shoes," Melissa says pouting away. "I'm so sorry," Spencer says apologizing. "I hope her shoes are going to be alright," she says as he walks her to the door. "They'll be ok," he says. "You have a good eye, I'll call you with more information," he tells her. "I got the job?" She asks almost confused. "Of course," he says and watches her walk away with a smile on her face. He shuts the door and walks by Melissa. "She's a witch alright," she says with anger in her voice.

Aria stood in front of the classroom as she watched her first class of the day stroll in, she waited until the tardy bell rang and everyone was sitting down in front of a canvas before she said a word. There are fifteen seats in total and two are missing students. "Good morning," she says to all the students. "So, I'm replacing Mr. Tolano as the art teacher, my name is Ms. Hastings," she says, as the students notice it is written on the blackboard behind her. "Since I'm new, I would like to get to know you guys a little bit today," she looks around the room. "We'll start off by saying your name, your favorite movie, book, tv or anything like that at the moment, and the reason why your taking this class," she says, "I'll go first, My name is Aria Hastings, right now I'm obsessed with Shameless the tv show, the American version and I'm teaching this class because I want to see how passionate you guys can be about art," when she's finished she looks at the first student by the door. "We'll start from the left, you can go first," she says looking at a girl with dark blonde hair and gray eyes. "My name is Buffy Aston-Clare, I really like Orange is the New Black and I've been drawing since I was 6. My mom is an artist as well," she says looking at Aria. A few other students go and then we get to a football player wearing his letterman jacket. "My name is Brad Ventura, I'm obsessed with Friday Night Lights and I'm being forced to take this class," he says and before the next person behind him can go, Aria looks at him. "Your being forced?" she asks out of curiosity. "As an elective. I don't really care about art, to me a child can do better than half the students in this class," he looks at her. "You know what, Mr. Ventura, I bet by the end of the semester I can get you to love art," she smiles as she tells him. The class continues until the last student introduces themselves, Aria then gives them the assignment to draw a picture to the best of their ability, so she can see their work.

Hanna's life has been different since she became a witch, she had powers that she used to help people, that she needed to keep secret, so she couldn't go around telling her friends about it. She hated that she couldn't tell her father, they've always been close. When she moved in with him, their relationship even grew.

She's been sitting in the Manor all day trying to figure out what she's going to do with her life. She didn't graduate high school and was kicked out of the manor by her grandmother at 17, that's when she went to New York and lived her with dad. She's been back and forth from New York and Rosewood, but New York was her home. Hanna wasn't always the greatest student or even person, but she's been growing up. She wants to do something with her life now that things are changing. It was so hard for her when her grandmother died, that was one of the reasons why she wanted to change. She wants to make her proud like she should have been doing when she was alive. So, she's been looking up how to get her GED and thinking about the life she wants. She's been in the living room on her laptop and looking up information all morning when Spencer walks through the front door. "Hey, what are you doing home? I thought you had lunch with Toby?" she asks her sister, while she walks towards her. "He called and rescheduled for later, so I thought I'd come home and maybe change," she sits on the chair in front of Hanna. "How's the job search going?" she asks with a little sarcasm. Hanna gives her a look. "As a matter of fact, I'm going to get my GED," Hanna informs her sister of her first step plan. "Really? I'm proud of you," Spencer says genuinely being happy for her. "Grams would've defiantly been proud of me," she smiles as she says that. "Over the moon proud, she was always raving about you, when you weren't causing trouble. She was always saying you were too smart for your own good and you could be doing good one day," she says, while Hanna looks at her. "Dad called, he's in town for work. He wants to do dinner tonight, with all of us," she tells her cautiously.

Spencer has hated her father for walking away from them when she was just 4 years old. She hated that he divorced their mother and moved to New York. She wanted her father around, not thousands of miles away. "What time?" she asks, "8:00 at Radley. Are you coming?" Hanna looks at Spencer, wanting to know. "It's been years since you've seen him, Spen…" Spencer interrupts her sister. "He left us, he didn't fight for us after mom died, he left us here with Grams. I'm not saying I wasn't happy with her, but he's our father, you don't do that to your kids," Spencer says angrily. "We've talked about that, it's been a long Spence, just come. Get a free dinner," Hanna tries to convince her older sister. Spencer gets upset and storms off to the front door. "I'm meeting Toby," she says as she leaves.

A little while later, across the street at the Ramsay House, Parker, Paisley, and Peter are standing around the living room. Paisley's peaking out of the window to the Hastings manor. "Hanna just left," she looks at her brother, "the house has to be empty since no one else came home," she adds. "So we're going with my plan right?" Parker says looking at Peter, "If your plan fails, we're sticking with mine," Peter tells his siblings. "Parker's going to the house this time, my side still hurts from the other night Spencer threw me down the sidewalk," she tells him, "he's going to get the book this time. It has to be in the attic," she says all knowingly. "I didn't see it anywhere else," she adds. "I shouldn't be that long," Parker says blinking himself to the manor. "When this fails, we're sticking with the plan I already have in motion," Peter tells his sister.

At the manor we see Parker walking into the attic and noticing the book on a podium by their alter, he walks towards it and tries to grab it but the book doesn't let him, it flies off the podium. "You little bastard you," he tells the book when he tries to go for it again but it magically pushes itself away from him again. He gets an idea, he keeps walking towards it making it go in different directions towards the attic door, to get out of the attic. It takes a while but he gets it out of the attic, down the steps and into the hall by the living room. Before he can try to get it out of the front door, he hears a voice. "I'm sorry I can't hang out tonight, but I promise I'll meet up with you tomorrow," Emily says on her cell phone, "Bring Piper, I would love to see her, too," she adds, while she opens the door. Parker thinks on his feet, uses the magical book moving the thing to push it under the coffee table in the living room and then turning himself into Bre, just as Emily walks in hanging up her cell phone. Emily's shocked to see her in the house. "Hey, what are you doing in here?" she asks her. "I was waiting for you, the door was open," she tells her. "Is anyone home?" Em asks wanting to figure out how Bre got in. "No, I called out when I came in but no one answered. Thought I would wait for you," she tells her as Emily walks towards the living room area and notices the book under the table. "So, you wanted to hang out before I head to dinner? I have to get ready, but tomorrow, for sure, come to see me at work," Emily says thinking on the spot on how to get Bre out of the house. "Ok, I'll wait to see you," Bre says as she walks towards the door to exit. When outside, Bre walks across the street and turns back into Parker when he walks into the Ramsay house. "I see your plan failed," Peter says when he doesn't notice the Book of Shadows in his brother's hands. "I didn't fail, I learned something, evil must not be able to touch the book," Parker informs his siblings. "Lesson learned, now we'll stick with my plan, which has been in motion," he says morphing himself into Peter Hastings, the girl's father.

Spencer and Toby met up at 'DiMarco's Pizzeria', their favorite hang out spot when they were in high school. Spencer doesn't want to define this new involvement because she is afraid of falling in love with Toby and he'll hate her for lying to him, when he eventually finds out about her. As she picks at the pizza in front of her, she looks at him. "Peter's in town, he wants to see us tonight," she tells him. "Why haven't you tried to see him, Spencer?" he asks her, knowing that it won't be a good reason. "You need to forgive him for leaving, if you don't, your going to regret it," he adds. "He abandoned us," she confides in him. "He's reached out to you, numerous times from what I remember. You might not know the whole story," he tells her, making her realize that she should at least try to talk to him. "Your right," she says agreeing with him. He did have a point, she hasn't even tried. "Now that we have that out of the way, we need to discuss this," Toby says wanting to change the subject. "I don't think I should jump into a relationship, Andrew and I, I'm…" she doesn't know how to say what she needs to tell him. She wants to be in a relationship again with him, she loved him more than anything in the world, but things are different now. "It's ok, we can just be friends. I can wait until your ready," he tells her feeling understanding. "Let's enjoy this lunch," he says making her smile, for being the guy he's always been.

Aria watched as the fourth group of students she's had today leaves the room, it's lunchtime and she wasn't sure if she wanted to stay on campus or go out to get something. Ezra Fitz breaks her thought when he knocks on the door frame of the classroom. "Hi there," he says, making her turn her head to his attention, she looks at him while standing up and walking over. "Hi, Mr. Fitz?" she asks, as he walks closer to her. "You must be Ms. Hastings," he says, throwing out his right hand, she does the same and they shake hands. "Would you like to do lunch? I know an amazing place," he asks her. "Sure," she agrees and follows him out the classroom. "So, how long have you been here?" she asks him as they walk. He thinks about it, then answers her. "Since the beginning of the year, I replaced Mr. Grant," he tells her, then looks at her while they walk towards the cafeteria. "So, what brought you here?" he asks her. "I work at the art museum in town, I guess I have more qualifications since I did take some childhood education classes," she smiles at what she says to him. They continue walking to the cafeteria, when they enter the walk up to the empty hot lunch line grab a tray and utensils and walk through the line picking out items. Aria got the chicken breast with steamed seasoned broccoli and potatoes with a white bread roll. Ezra got the meatloaf with mac & cheese, and the broccoli and a bread roll. They walked to a table in the corner with some other teachers and sat down, when Aria notices she forgot to grab a drink. "I'll be right back," she gets up to walk to get a soda from the machine in the cafeteria when she sees a student walking to sit down, and another near him putting his foot out to trip him. Just as the student falls, Aria throws her hands up to do something and freezes the whole cafeteria. She thinks on her feet and rushes to the boys, she turns the tray towards the one who tripped him and moves his foot straighter. She then walks quickly back to the machine and waits until a second later the room unfreezes. The food falls on top of the boy who was sitting down, and his group of friends laugh at him, including the boy he tries to embarrass. He storms off near Aria to exit the room, when she notices that it's Brad Ventura from her first class today. She didn't know it was him, but she thought he got what he deserved.

Hanna walked into the hotel where her dad was staying and up to the front desk. She wanted to see him before dinner, maybe he could convince Spencer that she needed to show up. She forgave him for leaving their mother, she knew his side of the story, which she believed. When she walked up to the desk, a young lady in her late twenties stood there. "How can I help you?" the woman with the name tag Beth asked her. "Can you tell me what room Peter Hastings is in?" she asks, Beth types into her computer and pulls up the information. "Mr. Hastings is in room 419. Would you like for me to let him know you're here?" she asks. "That's ok, thank you," she says and walks towards the elevators and presses the up button. When she gets to her dad's room, she knocks on the door. A few seconds later Peter Hastings open the door. "Hannakins, you're here," he says letting her into the room. She walks in, letting him shut the door. "Yeah, I wanted to see you, and tell you something in person," she begins to tell him. "What is it, sweetie?" he asks her. She looks at him, not wanting to hurt his feelings but needs to tell him. "Spencer's not coming," she tells him, he looks at her upset. "I wanted to see all my girls, plus your half-sister," he informs her. "I tried to tell her…" she begins to say but he interrupts her. "I need to talk to you all tonight, it's important," he tells her. Hanna doesn't know what to do, she doesn't know how to convince Spencer to show up. "Look, I'll meet you tonight, if Spence doesn't show, I'll be ok with that," he tells her. "I've got a meeting before dinner, I'll see you later, ok?" he tells her, she looks at him. "Ok," she goes in for a hug and he hugs her goodbye. She gets a premonition, in it she sees her father holding the book of shadows and his eyes are black. When it's over, she gasps and steps away from him. "I… I got to go," she says and leaves.

At the house, Spencer walks in with Aria at the same time. "And everything just froze, this is the second time this happened," Aria is telling Spencer about what happened. "Anything weird with you, today?" she asks. Spencer looks at her, she didn't do anything with her powers today. Well except this morning when she got ready for work, she used her telekinesis to bring her shoes closer to her. She doesn't want to tell Aria about it. Emily walks downstairs into the foyer area where the girls are standing. "Hey, so something weird happened today," she tells them. "When I came home the book was under the coffee table, did anyone have it downstairs today?" she asks them. "No, did you ask Hanna?" she asks her, just as Hanna walks in the front door. "Ask Hanna, what?" she asks them. "Did you have the book downstairs today?" Spencer asks her, while Hanna walks towards them after shutting the door. "No, I didn't touch it at all today," she informs them. "It was in the living room today, under the coffee table," she tells them. "Did someone forget to lock the front door?" Spencer asks looking towards Hanna. "I locked it, I always lock the front door," she tells her. "But there's something you guys need to know," Hanna begins to say. "I saw dad earlier, and I had a vision," she informs her sisters. "About what?" Aria asks. Hanna walks towards the living room to sit down on the couch, her sisters follow suit sitting around the living room. "I saw dad with the book of shadows, and his eyes were black," she tells them, letting them know what she saw. "I told you we can't trust him," Spencer tells her sisters. She looks at them, they all are concerned now. "We just have to stop that vision from happening," Aria begins to tell them. "We just don't tell dad about us," she adds. "Are you coming, Spence?" Hanna asks her sister. "We have to tackle this together," Emily tells the three of them. "We can handle this together," she adds. "But listen, someone was in the house and the got the book downstairs. We need to figure out who it was and do something about it," Aria says remembering about what Emily said about the book. "We'll lock the book up somewhere safe," Spencer tells them. "And lock all of the doors before we leave," she adds.

Across the street Paisley is looking out the window, watching the girls leave for dinner. Her plan is trying for the book again when they leave. "What are you doing?" Parker asks her when he walks into the living room. "I'm watching the girls, I'm trying for the book," she tells him. "Pete's going to be pissed, we're supposed to be doing his plan," Parker tells his sister, upset a little. "Stop being a loser, if we work together, we got this," she says using her sisterly persuasion to get him to listen to her. "What if your plan doesn't work, again?" he asks her. "Then I'll be fully focused on Pete's plan," she tells him. The two of them blink into the foyer of the Hastings Manor, Parker looks in the living room under the table, no book, then at the stairs. "It was in the attic last time," he tells her and guides her upstairs to the second floor, then up to the attic. When they get inside, he walks to the podium and notices it's not there. "It's not here, what did they do with it?" she asks. They start looking around the attic. "Think like witches, where would you put your book of shadows?" he says trying to help her find it. "I'm going to find this book," Paisley says getting upset and throwing a fit. She starts throwing things around digging through things looking for the book. "Paisley," Parker starts saying her name, trying to get her to calm down. "Stop acting like a mortal," he tells her after she stops. "I want the damn book," she says and stomps her feet so hard that the attic shakes from all her negative energy making the everything destroyed in the attic. "Feel better now, it's destroyed," Parker says, watching her stand there and smile with a little glee. She did feel better, she doesn't have the book, but their attic is completely ruined.

The girls arrived at the Radley Hotel and Restaurant at 8:00 and have been waiting for their dad, well in Emily's case, her sister's father. Peter Hastings is standing at the bar, waiting for them. When he notices them walking in, he walks by them and begins to hug his daughters, when he gets to Spencer she flinches when he tries to touch her. "I'm good," she tells him. "I'm Emily," she says introducing herself and extending her hand for a shake. "Peter Hastings, nice to meet you," he says, then gently let's go of her hand. "Let's get a table," he flags down the hostess, who shows them off to a table for five. They sit down at a table with six chairs, Hanna next to her father, Spencer sitting across from him, Aria next her and then Emily. "I'm so glad you decided to come, Spence," he tells her. "I wanted to talk to all of you, explain why I left," he looks at them. "Hopefully you'll understand," he begins to tell them, when the waitress comes by and gets their drink orders. "I'll have a whisky on the rocks," Peter orders. "Whisky, neat," Spencer orders. "Water," Emily orders. "Vodka tonic," Hanna orders. "Sweet tea," Aria tells her. When she walks off, he looks at them. "I know it was wrong for me to leave without you, but your grandmother was forcing my hand," he begins to tell them. "She had plans for you girls, but told me I couldn't be a part of it," he looks at Spencer. "I know you had to have taken this the hardest, you were only 6 years old. I didn't want to hurt you, or your sisters," he puts his hand on top of Spencer's hand. The waitress comes back with the drinks and places them by each person who ordered. When she's done, Peter pulls back his hand slowly but purposely knocks over his drink. Aria throws her hands up and freezes it, with the room. Spencer quickly reaches over and collects the drink before it falls, and places it on the table unspoiled. "Why didn't we freeze?" Emily asks her sisters. "Maybe good witches are immune to your power?" Hanna asks just as the room unfreezes. He looks at his drink untouched. "So, who froze the room, let me guess, Aria? You were always like your mother," he asks, looking at the each of them. "How do you know?" Hanna asks, looking at her father. "One of the reasons your grandmother wanted me out of your lives," he tells them. "So, let me guess, Spencer, you have telekinesis, Hanna, it must be premonition, Emily, darling, can you hear thoughts?" he asks them, he was on the nose about their powers. "She told you about all of that?" Aria asks, wanting to know how he knows. "Your mother told me about her being a witch when she was pregnant with Spencer, when she was pregnant with Hanna, your grandmother told me about you becoming the Charmed Ones. It was supposed to be the power of three, but our relationship was failing, she started dating someone else. When I found out about her being pregnant with Emily, I had it, I had to leave. I hate to say this, but I couldn't be with her since she cheated on me. I still loved her but that's how I felt. I didn't know what was going to happen to her, sometimes I wish I could have done something," he tells them the story he's been dying to tell his daughters about. Spencer looks him in the eyes. "Why didn't you stay?" she begs to know from him. "I had a job opportunity, I came back whenever I could, your grandmother wouldn't let me step a foot in the house. She blamed me for your mother's death," he tells them. "She hated me, like I was the blame for everything," he wants Spencer to understand. "Why should I believe you?" she questions him, with a passion of anger in her voice. "I'm not begging you to believe me," he begins to say, "I'm hoping you will," he adds. "We have other things to worry about," she says standing up, ready to storm off. She looks at her sisters, they are all sitting down. "I'm staying," Hanna says, Aria looks at her. "I believe him," she says, and Spencer looks at Emily. "Hey, I'm the bastard here for a free meal," she says looking over the menu.

As Spencer is walking up the front porch steps, she notices the front door opened ajar. She slowly creeps up the steps, then opens the door, quietly. Her footsteps not making a noise when she enters the house. Everything looks ok downstairs, she slowly makes her way up to the attic, to make sure everything is still good. When she gets in there she notices everything that was on a shelf is on the ground, the podium is knocked over, tons of papers are thrown around the room, it literally looks like a tornado has been through the attic. Twice. She runs to her bedroom and into her closet, she leans on her knees, and pulls up the baseboard of the closet floor and sees the book is still there. She puts the board back and pulls out her cell phone. She dials Aria's number and lets it ring. Aria answers on the third ring. "Hello," as soon as Aria answers Spencer tells her. "You need to get home, someone was here," she tells her.

When the girls arrived home, Peter came in with them. "I don't want to leave you girls alone," he tells them, as Spencer walks down the stairs. "What if someone is still in the house?" he asks. "I checked, it's clear," she tells him. "Besides, we're four powerful witches, I think we can handle ourselves," Hanna tells her father. "Ok, girls, I'll be back tomorrow for lunch," he tells them as he hugs Hanna and Aria goodbye. "Good night, Spencer," he tells her as he leaves. As soon as he exits the house, Spencer looks at her sisters. "Sorry for cutting your night short," she begins to tell them. "I still got a meal out of it," Emily says holding up her steak and potato in a to-go bag, walking towards the kitchen. "The attic is ruined," Spencer tells them. "Whoever it was, came back," she adds. The girls follow Emily to the kitchen. Emily doesn't want to tell them what she saw earlier, with Bre here, she doesn't believe Bre could be evil. She doesn't sense that from her at all. "Em, did you hear any evil thoughts from Peter's head?" Spencer asks her. "Why would you ask her that?" Hanna jumps taking her dads side. "You're the one who had the vision of him with the book, Hanna. It has to be him," Spencer says, also trying to convince herself. "He can't be two places at once," Aria tells her. "He was with us, remember? It couldn't have been him," she confirms with her sister. Emily looks at Spencer, while she's unpacking her dinner. "I didn't hear anything from him, mostly stuff about wanting you to forgive him. But he did know about our powers, so…" she says and then uses a fork to eat some of the potatoes. "Let's just sleep on this," Aria tells her sisters. "He'll be here tomorrow for lunch anyways, we'll talk to him then," she adds and begins to walk upstairs.

Peter Hastings walks into his dark hotel room, to a chair with a light on and sits down. He feels like he's making some progress with the girls. Pete Ramsay, the girls neighbor comes out of the shadows. "If I didn't know you were waiting on me, that would have scared the shit out of me," Peter tells him. "How the night go?" Pete asks, walking towards a chair near him to sit down. "Pretty well, except for Spencer, she still won't talk to me," he complains to him. "Well, I need you to get them to let you touch the book," Pete begins to go more into his plan. "Once your fingerprints are on there, it's going to be easy for me to be you and get it for myself," he tells him. "And you'll leave the girls alone, you'll take their magic and they will be ok?" Peter asks concerned for his daughters. "Can we at least kill Emily? Technically she's not yours," Pete asks wanting to do some damage. "I still loved her mother," he begins to say, "I don't think so," he adds. "By tomorrow night, they'll be mortals again," Pete says and lays back on the chair and blends into the darkness.

The next morning the girls went over the plan they had to make sure Peter wasn't evil and after the book. They were going to continue like any normal day until lunch, which was 12:30 for Aria since she was the only who had work. Spencer was waiting on a call from Kingston Auction house about when to come in. When lunch came, they were going to eat at the house, which Hanna was making. She loved to cook, so she was making some chicken alfredo pasta bake with a salad. Aria walks into the house from the back door and looks at the layout of food on the table. "I miss you cooking," she tells her sister as Hanna places a bowl of rolls on the table next to the salad. "I miss it too," she tells her. "Dad's on his way," she tells her sister as Spencer walks into the kitchen. "You remember the plan, right?" she questions them just as Emily walks through the front door. "I think I saw his car," she says walking into the kitchen, too. "Ooh, food," she says looking at the spread on the table. "I'll get the door," Hanna says walking towards it and waiting for the knock, which comes a second later. Hanna opens it, looks at her father. "Daddy," she says and hugs him. "Sweetie," he hugs her back. She gets another vision, she sees her father with the book of shadows again, but this time he shapeshifts into Pete Ramsay, and steps back and we see all three Ramsay siblings. When her vision ends, she steps back and lets her dad into the house. "Come on, I made lunch," she tells him. "Why don't you go make a plate?" she guides him into the kitchen. "Spencer, Aria, Emily, can I speak to you for a second before lunch?" she says when she enters the room. She walks towards the living room with her sisters, "It's the Ramsay's, not dad, their shapeshifters," she tells them. "I think one of them is dad now," Hanna adds. "So, you think it hasn't been him this whole time?" Spencer asks. "Could be," she says.

"I'm going to the book, and look up shapeshifters, keep him distracted," Emily tells her sisters and heads upstairs to Spencer's bedroom where the book is being hidden. "What's going on girls? Let's eat," Peter Hastings says as he walks into the living room. He looks at Hanna, then Aria, and Spencer. "I missed you girls," he tells them. "I want to know how you're handling the witch thing," he adds. "We're doing just fine," Spencer tells him. "We know how to handle ourselves," she adds, walking into the foyer. "I want to see the book, can I?" he asks. A second later, there's a knock on the door. Aria walks to it and opens it to see her father standing at the door. "Dad?" she questions him, while he walks in making her step back inside. Peter looks at himself, standing in the house with the girls. "What's going on?" he asks. "One of you isn't our father," Hanna tells them just as Paisley and Parker blink into the foyer with them. "Spencer, it's me, dad," the Peter who walked in tells her. "How should we know which one which is?" Hanna walks towards her sisters who are standing by the stairs now. "Come on, let's just kill them," Paisley says ready to attack.

"You wouldn't hurt your father now will you," Peter says, who is standing near the kitchen. "Convince us, whoever is our real father convince me that your him," she tells them both. The one who recently walked in looks at her. "Your name is Spencer Jill Hastings, you were in October 2, 1990 on a rainy day. You were never afraid of the dark. Aria went through a phase when she was 4, when she didn't eat anything green. And Hanna, my dear sweet Hannakins, when you lived with me you dated a boy named Gracie and a girl named Jaxon," he begins to tell them the things only a father would know. Aria throws up her hands to try to freeze them but just as she does Emily comes behind them holding the book, just as Paisley grabs Aria, holding her arms behind her back and a knife to her throat. "Give us the book and I won't kill her and the rest of you," she tells them. Emily stands back behind her sister, holding tightly onto the book. "Don't give it to her," Aria says. "There's a spell we have to recite, but it could possibly hurt your father," Emily tells them, in a low voice where they can't hear her. "What can we do to help him?" Hanna asks. "We need to help, Aria," Spencer points out. "The book," Hanna says. "It'll protect dad from the spell," she adds. Emily hands Spencer a piece of paper with the spell written on it and then tosses the book to the Peter who came in recently, but the other Peter tries to jump and grab it, but the book doesn't let him grab it, it falls on the floor. Paisley lets go of Aria and goes after it, as well but the Peter who is standing near the door grabs it, the book let's him. "Come on the spell, quick," Hanna tells Spencer, who opens the paper Emily handed her and they all recite it when Aria rushes by them. "When in the circle, that is home. Safety's gone and evil's roam. Rid all beings from these walls. Save us sisters, now heed our call." Pete turns back into himself and then him, Paisley, and Parker all twist and turn and go poof, Hanna rushes by her dads' side. "I knew it was you," she tells him. "Spencer, honey, I'm sorry about everything," he tells her, as she looks at him wondering if it's always been him. "Did we have dinner with you last night?" she asks him, wanting to make sure it was the right dad. "It was me, and I meant every word I said," he tells her, she looks at him. "I have something," he tells the girls leading them into the living room by the tv, he pulls out a USB and plugs into the TV USB port. Emily grabs the remote and turns it on, when it comes on she plays the first video. "I found my old camera, it had some home movies on them," he tells them as we watch a video of Spencer's fifth birthday party, little Spencer is coming up to her dad. "Daddy, daddy, can you come show us that trick?" little Spencer begs him. "Ok, sweetie. Veronica, honey, can you film while I do something for Spencer?" he says behind the camera, while showing Veronica for a minute. "Mom was so pretty," Emily says, looking at her. "You all look like her," Peter tells his daughters. "Daddy," little Spencer calls him, the camera switches hands and follows Peter to little Spencer and her friends, which includes little Toby. "Ok, ok, now, who knows what this is?" he says pulling out a quarter and making the kids laugh. "It's a quarter," little Toby says. "Well, keep an eye on it, because one second it's in my hand and the next…" he says making a slight of hand and the quarter disappear. "Where'd it go?" little Toby asks. "Well, Toby, I think it's right here," Peter says making the quarter appear behind Toby's ears. "Wow, how did you do that?" All the kids are amused by his magic trick. "It's magic," he tells them. "I love you, daddy," little Spencer runs into his arms. "I love you, too, sweetie," he tells her and hugs her. "Mommy, Mommy, when's the ice cream and cake?" little Aria comes up and asks. "Come on guys, let's sing Happy Birthday," Veronica says trying to get everyone crowded around the table where Veronica's mother is coming to the table with the birthday cake.

"I really am sorry, I should have forgiven you when we found out about Emily," Spencer tells him, understanding a little. "Let's just work on fixing this relationship," Peter tells her. Spencer walks by him and hugs her father.
