Hey! I know this took forever! Sorry! Enjoy! Disclaimer: Don't own Frozen or Harry Potter. What would I do with that much dough?

"Focus, Elsa," Captain Hall instructed, watching his new student struggle to rescind the snow she had created. He had decided to instruct the children on the mountain top. It was spacious and isolated from the prying eyes of the king and queen and the kingdom's subjects. He was not a cruel man by any means, but he was a man who expected the absolute best of his students and pushed them to their limits. Some might say teaching children with elemental powers like that was dangerous, but the captain knew it was the only way.

Elsa desperately tried to bring the snow back, but it felt like she was pulling a rope and losing her grasp. Finally, she let go, letting the snow fall around her. "I can't," she said desperately. "It doesn't want to come to me."

Captain nodded critically. "You have to stop fighting it," he instructed. "You're pulling at it like a rope. You have to let it flow through you."

Elsa turned to Harry. Sometimes she didn't understand what their teacher was trying to see, and she had come to depend on him for a translation. Elsa had never had one before, but if someone asked her, she would say Harry was her best friend.

"Don't be afraid," Harry said. "You control your powers. They don't control you."

Elsa nodded. This time, she didn't tug on the snow. Instead, she beckoned it forward, absorbing it through her fingers. It didn't fight her. She absorbed the snow until there was none left falling around them. She smiled widely, and Harry grinned back at her. She had never felt like this before, like she had some control over her powers, like she wasn't a monster. Maybe she could control this…

Captain Hall rolled his eyes. "Don't get so excited, princess. You still have a long way to go. You will practice rescinding your snow and ice until it's effortless. Then I will show you how to really use your powers."

Elsa deflated, but Harry winked at her. She felt slightly better than. "Harry, your turn." He stepped forward. The captain called out instructions, and Harry followed them. She watched in fascination as Harry manipulated and transformed his fire. He threw fireballs at some of the snow, melting it, and put the flames out in the same measure. Harry's fire wasn't as free as Elsa's snow, but it was just as beautiful.

"Now make it into a whip." Harry turned to look at his teacher, hesitation written all over his face. The captain didn't budge. "Do it." Elsa watched as Harry reluctantly formed a fire whip. It was short, and if she could guess she would say it was the lowest temperature he could manage. "Make it longer."

Harry froze. "I can't." His voice was low.

Captain Hall shook his head. "Yes, you can," he insisted. "But your fear is holding you back." He paused, examining both his students. "Fear is holding both of you back, and you won't be able to truly master your powers until you let it go."

He sighed. "That's enough for today. It's almost time for lunch anyway." He started the long hike back to their sleigh, and the two children followed. Harry and Elsa played a little game every time they walked back. Elsa created a little bit of ice, and they both tried to out slide each other until they reached the sleigh. Harry was winning, but he didn't notice the tree he was about to run into. Luckily, Elsa notice and slid ahead of him, grabbing his arm. Elsa stopped the ice, and the two landed in a pile of snow.

"Are you okay?" she asked breathlessly, still holding on to his arm. Harry flinched a bit. Elsa let go of his arm, her brow furrowed. Harry just looked at her, shock written all over his face.

"I didn't hurt you?" he asked. Elsa shook her head. Harry hesitantly reached out and touched Elsa's arm. He waited a moment and pulled away, looking at her arm. There was nothing there.

"Harry?" Elsa questioned. "What are you looking for?"

"Usually when I touch people, I burn them," Harry explained. "When I was younger, it only happened when I got upset, but now it seems to happen all the time. Cap said it's just a phase of my power that will past, but it kind of freaks me out. What did my hand feel like when it touched your arm?"

"Normal," Elsa replied. A light bulb went off in her head. "Did I feel cold to you?" Harry shook his head. Elsa knew she was usually cold to the touch. The two kids let the idea roll around in their hands for a moment. Finally, Elsa suggested, "Do you think we're just normal around each other because we're opposite elementals?"

Harry nodded. "Could be," he replied, smiling. It may not seem like a big deal, but to these two children it was a blessing to be able to actually have physical contact with another person. It made them feel more human. Elsa grabbed Harry's hand, and he didn't move away. The two walked like that, hand in hand, to the sleigh. Neither let go until they got out of the castle, and even then they linked arms. Later on in their lives, Harry and Elsa would hug and kiss and be together in amazing ways they couldn't even imagine, but in that moment there was nothing more special to them than holding hands.

Captain Hall watched his students out of the corner of his eye. It was just as he had guessed. There had never been two elementals in the same generation, and he was sure that given time Harry and Elsa would be forces in the world around them. For now, though, they were two children trying to find their way in a world that didn't always like them, and he swore that he would do right by them. Like he hadn't the last time.

"Be here tomorrow at dawn," he instructed gruffly. "Wear clothes that can be wrecked."

Harry and Elsa nodded and ran off, presumably to enjoy the rest of their day. He smiled briefly.

"I'll do right by you, Mary," he swore. "I'll do right by these kids." He allowed his thoughts to linger to the past for a moment before walking back to the barracks he had chosen to stay in. Dumbledore and his pet Order members were expecting a letter on Harry's progress, and he didn't want them breathing down his neck.

Anna wandered around the castle, bored out of her little mind. Life had been dull for the last two years. Ever since she had been separated from her sister, Anna had longed for a playmate. Her parents doted on her, but they were often too busy to spend a lot of time with her. Having the gates of the palace closed also meant that Anna never got to interact with anyone her age, and she was lonely.

Her favorite room of the castle was the portrait room. She didn't know why, but there was something comforting about all the faces of family members and ancestors long gone. Her parents told her that their portraits would be in there one day and so would hers and Elsa. She liked the idea of that, her whole family being together in that room forever.

She skipped into the room, expecting to find it empty, but instead there was a boy about her sister's age studying the paintings. If she squinted, he could be a black blob. His hair was an inky black color, and his clothes and shoes were also black. He didn't look scary, but she still hesitantly said, "Hello?"

He turned around. "Hi," he smiled gently. "You're Anna, right?"

Anna's eyes widened. "How'd you know that?" she asked curiously. "Are you made of magic?"

Harry laughed. "No, not exactly," he answered. "I know your sister though."

Anna's eyes widened. "You know Elsa?"

Harry nodded. "We have the same teacher." He studied Anna, noticing how lonely she looked. "You miss her, don't you?"

"We used to best friends," Anna replied. "We had so much fun, but then one day she was just gone, and nobody has ever told me why."

Harry didn't say anything. He just listened to the little girl pour her heart out to him. Anna reminded of him of his own little brother, Stevie, and maybe in another universe the two children could be friends. It was hard for him, being away from home and his family, but he'd gotten used to it. He imagined it was harder for Elsa and Anna because they weren't that far apart from each other. They lived in the same house, and yet the girls never interacted. He resolved to do something to change that.

"Hey, Anna, want to go on an adventure?" Harry suggested, an idea forming in his head.

Anna jumped up and down in excitement. "Yes!" she shouted. "Where are we going?"

Harry winked at her. "Into town." Anna could only gape and follow Harry. Neither of them knew it, but Captain Hall and the king were watching from a secret room.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" the king asked worriedly. "He could hurt her."

Captain Hall shook his head. "It will be good for your daughter. It is not good for these children to be so lonely. Besides, there is a guard tailing them."

"And Elsa?"

The captain smiled. "Harry will help mind the riff soon enough." He looked at the king. "I know what I'm doing, Your Highness."

The king sighed. "Let's hope so. I have a feeling my family and my kingdom depends on it."

Lily Potter frowned as she read a letter from her oldest son, her hand resting on her seven month pregnant belly. She didn't think she would ever forgive her husband or Dumbledore for convincing her to send Harry away. Her worries and concerns had been waved away and soothed with promises of frequent letters and updates and monthly visits. Those reassurances had worked the first few months, but when Harry had been gone six months and she still hadn't seen him, Lily started to complain. Then Dumbledore started to backtrack. It wasn't practical to see Harry often, he said. The boy was too busy with his lessons to write letters, he said.

Lily wasn't a stupid woman, however, and she gave Dumbledore an ultimatum: either have Harry's teacher send her lessons plans and her son more letters or Harry would have to come home. Now she got weekly lessons plans from Harry's teacher and letters from him, but she still wasn't reassured. Harry's letters were brief and lacking in detail. He talked about his lessons and the places they visited but little else. Lately, however, he did talk about a friend he'd made in their latest stop, a girl named Elsa.

James, hearing his wife sigh, rushed to her side. "What's wrong, love? It's not our daughter, is it?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowing.

Lily shook her head. "I'm worried about Harry," she confessed. "I don't think that teacher of his is very stable. I want to see my son, James."

James ran his hands through his hair. "It's not safe for you or Stevie. Harry is exactly where he needs to be."

Lily glared at her husband. "Stop treating Harry like he's dangerous, James," she shouted. "He's just a little boy, and he probably hate us now!"

"Mum? Dad?" Stevie's voice called out. Soon enough, they could see their son running into the room.

"Hey, baby," Lily greeted. James picked him up and swung him around, causing the seven year old to giggle. Lily smiled. If only James could act that way with Harry. She turned back to Harry's letter. At least he sounded like he was happy. She glanced at her other son. Maybe one day her sons would be friends again. Until then, however, she'd just take care of Stevie and this new baby and pray that she could convince James to let Harry come home. What she never realized, however, was that Harry was slowly starting to consider another place home: Arendelle.

moonlight10060: The king and queen just think this boy will help Elsa learn how to control her powers for a bit and then move on. Captain Hall knows differently. He has studied elementals for years and knows how they best function. He is not playing matchmaker as much as putting the two children in circumstances where a romance could one day bloom of their own choice. By new OTP, I assume you mean the Order? That will be part of the story later. I will continue to talk about life both in Arendelle and in the Wizarding World, the focus more on Arendelle where Harry and Elsa are. Anna is actually fairly present in this story, and Stevie will also make appearances. Harry will not be home much, and the effect this has on his family and their relationships will definitely be mentioned. The king and queen will be a rare presence.

KDTBpantherwulf: What Harry does, in simple terms, is balance Elsa, and she balances him right back. There will be times, however, when Harry is not around to provide that balance.

SinOfDisaster: Interesting… I don't really understand your reference, but if you have good ideas for attack scenes, let me know! Thanks for reading!

hlyarts: Nah, I wouldn't do that! I kind of wanted to get to the point myself. Now stuff can actually happen. Yay!

Kisa tracer: Thanks! Basically, Harry and Elsa balance each other out. Harry's presence thaws Elsa's ice, and Elsa's presence cools Harry down. It is more like nullifying I guess. Harry will never be able to use wand-based magic. Notice I said wand! That will be important later.

wazzat00: Thanks! I guess I am interested in a lot of different things. Harry Potter is one of my main loves, but I liked to dabble in a lot of different things. My Bible fanfics are really just poems, but I guess that counts. The Outsiders fanfiction community is very good but very unknown. It makes me sad. Honestly, I reread that fic, and I cringe because I was a newbie to this site who really had no clue what she was doing. Don't worry, I always finished my stories. It's my policy.

dragonsheart8261920: Darn it! I keep getting that wrong.

godess bubbles: Thanks! There will be some traveling involved, but Elsa is somewhat limited on how far and how long she can travel due to her royal responsibly. Harry, on the other hand… Elsa will meet Harry's family in a few chapters, but all will not run smoothly. As for the last question, I'm not spoiling it for you.

Slightly Disturbed Cookie Girl: Interesting concept, but I don't think there are enough young active elementals for the idea to work. I like the idea of a team of elementals though. That I'll think about.

k0327: It's a good idea, but the Potters are not going to have an active role in Harry's childhood after sending him away. Harry always writes his parents, but he rarely will visit home due to training and a love of Arendelle. To him, England stopped being home when he was sent away, even though it was his choice. Plus, James has done his best to shelter his other children and probably would not agree to the trip.
