Hey guys! Okay, the status on the story right now is that it has like three comments from Quotev and five reviews from fanfiction which is great! Both have a little over 100 views which is fine because it's still only two chapters long. Usually a longer story will get more popularity so that's what I'm going to do! :D for those who have reviewed or commented, this chapter id for you guys! Thank you so much for doing that and I hope you'll continue to do it. And other people do it do! Do it now! This will probably like a filler chapter just to straighten things out which is good because she can't just start a mission! Well anyway, thanks for reading and here's the chapter!

Ch. 3

I smiled at the ground as Conner and I stood there next to each other. He looked like he didn't know what else to say so he just rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. I didn't want him to be uncomfortable any longer so I smiled and stuttered a bit.

"W-well...I'm going to go see how Megan is doing in the k-itchen..."

I said quietly with a smile. He gave me a relieved look and nodded.

"Sounds good."

He said as he joined the other guys in the living room to play video games. I took a deep breath before looking at the kitchen doorway. I was getting through so far and the fact that I haven't fainted yet is amazing to me. I slowly walked into the kitchen find Megan waving her hands in front of her face to get the smoke from her eyes. The cookies were...yeah...black...and they didn't really look that edible. She set the tray on the oven top and sighed.

"Would you believe me if I said this happens every time I try to cook?"

She asked me as I took a seat at one of the counter stools. I smiled apologetically and shrugged; trying not to insult her in any way. She smiled at me and giggled.

"Scarlett, it's okay you can say I suck ass at cooking because I do. It's not really that I made it wrong, it's more that I forget that the food's in the oven and then it burns..."

She said looking at the ground. I couldn't help but laugh slightly at her comment before she sat across from me. She was just about to say something to me but was stopped when a sudden wind blew our hair sideways. I clutched my chest out of surprise only to find Wally staring at the burnt cookies. He glanced at us and smiled.

"Oh, my bad. I forgot to tell you I have super speed. I see you made cookies again babe!"

He said in happiness as he looked at the barely-edible desserts. Megan smiled sweetly at him and nodded.

"Yep. But I think I burned them again..."

She said shamefully. He had already took a bite out of the burnt cookie and I could hear the crunching sounds he was making. How the hell did he even eat that? He gave her a 'this cookie really sucks but I'm going to act like it's good and compliment you on your fine cooking skills' look and shrugged.

"What are you talking about!? Are you sure it's burnt!?"

He said. I could tell he was in agony over the taste of it but Megan didn't seem to notice as her features brightened.

"Oh Wally! You can have them all if you want. I hope you like the rest of them!"

Wally grinned at her and took the tray into the living room for the guys. You could hear him offering those cookies to them but all he got in response was refusing groans. Megan turned back to me and rolled her eyes.

"He's always eating my cookies!"

She said proudly. I smiled and looked at her.

"A-are you two dating?"

I asked. I didn't even realize I asked her that! She gasped and shook her head.

"Me and Wally!? No! We just met each other a couple of days ago but he likes to flirt with me for some reason. I asked Robin about it and he just said that he does that with every girl. But he's so sweet to like my cookies even though their burnt!"

She replied in her own little way. I flipped my sparkling blond hair behind my back and smiled. You could hear the boys in the other room playing Call of Duty and screaming at each other. Megan sat there like she couldn't hear them and stared at the wall. She seemed pretty weird to me; especially since her skin was green...Should I ask her about it? No that would be rude...

"Megan, why is your skin green?"

Fuck! I'm so rude! She didn't seem to mind though as she smiled at me.

"Oh! Well I'm from Mars!"

My eyes went big and my mouth fell open. Well that's why she was weird. I didn't say anything else because I thought that if I kept asking questions, I would never stop. I stood up from the table, excused myself, and slowly walked into the living room. I was right in guessing that they were playing Call of Duty. You know...when you see four famous super heroes playing on a Playstation 3, it's really weird. Robin glanced at me from the screen and grinned.

"Scarlett! Why don't you come sit on the couch so we can talk?"

He said while he killed some noob in the game. I hesitated but did what he said and sat next to him. Wally and Kaldur were sitting on the floor while Conner was leaning on the back of the couch, standing up. Robin gave Conner the controller and gave me a grin. I turned away and blushed from his openess to me.

"So Scarlett, mind if I ask you a few questions?"

He asked me. I shrugged slightly and he nodded in satisfaction.

"Alright, awesome. How old are you?"

"I'm fifteen right now and almost sixteen."

I told him. Wally smiled at me and pumped his fist.

"Rock on! Me too!"

I blushed at the ginger and he smirked at Robin. Robin rolled his eyes and asked the next question.

"What kind of powers do you have?"

"I-I can manupulate light into any weapon I want. And...Canary wanted me to train so I showed her what I can do and she found something new in my abilities. She said something about hitting the person with the weapon and that it would make them feel the hit but not create a cut for them to bleed out."

I said. I was surprised to hear myself tell them that as if I was talking to Canary or Batman. Robin grinned wide and crossed his arms over his chest.

"That sounds pretty sweet...and deadly. Remind me not to piss you off, okay?"

I giggled and nodded.

"Okay I will."

"Alright last question...Have you ever been whelmed?"

Wally instantly glared at him and yelled 'no' over and over again as he got up and left the room. I tilted my head in confusion at the word he just used. I heard him use it earlier but I don't think that's a normal word...is it!?

"Uhhh...whelmed?"

I asked him in curiosity.

"You know, some people are under-whelmed, some people are over-whelmed. But you know what, I'm just whelmed. What about you?"

Okay that didn't answer my question but I'm going to answer anyways.

"Sure...I guess..."

He stood up and nodded in understanding.

"Interesting..."

He said as he left. I get to talk to the famous Robin for the first time and I find that he's so freaking weird. Wally seemed really nice but maybe a flirt at certain points. I hadn't said anything to Kaldur yet so I have no idea. And Conner, well, he just seemed as shy as me.

"So when will you start your training Scarlett?"

Kaldur said as he turned off the video game console.

"I don't really know yet. Canary said that she would work with me in private so I wouldn't get distracted by anything. I'm really self-conscious so it's a good thing that I'll be alone..."

Kaldur nodded while Conner rose an eyebrow at me.

"Why is that?"

He asked me. My face went red and I looked down in shame. I didn't want to talk about it, especially not with people I just met. He seemed to notice this and scratched his cheek.

"Uhh...nevermind..."

I sighed quietly in relief and silently thanked him for doing that. He seemed to get my message and nodded.

"Scarlett, can you come here for a second?"

I looked over the side of the couch to see Canary looking at me with a smile. I stood up and walked over to her. She leaned into my ear and whispered.

"So how did it go?"

She asked me.

"It went pretty well actually. I talked to Megan a bit and she seems cool but then I learned that she was from Mars and I totally freaked out mentally. Robin asked me these questions that were somewhat weird and then he just walked away. Wally was pretty sweet to me so he's cool but I heard he's a flirt so I don't know. Kaldur seems very mature for whatever age he is. And Conner is just like me in a way."

I said finally, all in one go. She laughed at how I said all of that and led me to the training room.

"Well you sound like you had fun. Do you think you might trust any of them yet?"

I tilted my head up in thought and shrugged.

"Maybe Megan, Wally, and Conner right now. I have to spend more time with them to trust them, you know?"

I said as we walked on the training platform.

"Yeah I do. And that's okay. Nobody is going to rush you about it. Now, I want to see more of your powers again just to get the research I need for my new little project. This is going to be so fun!"

She said excitingly as she left me standing on the platform alone. I rolled my eyes and was about to form a weapon in my hand but I stopped when I heard someone walk in. It turned out to be Wally and Megan walking into the room with a smile on their face. Megan stepped up.

"Can we watch you show odd your skills Scarlett?"

She asked softly. Canary looked as if she was about to tell them to leave but I raised my hand.

"S-sure...I don't mind..."

I thought, 'what the heck,' because I felt something in my heart. I don't know what it was but it made me want to show my powers off to them. Canary gave me a look of admiration as Wally and Megan criss-crossed their legs on the floor.

"Alright then, go when you're ready."

Canary said as she made a dummy appear in front of me. I nodded and decided on a bow this time. I will also add that it made me think of Katniss while I did it. The light in my left hand formed into a bow and an arrow of light in my right hand. I could see Wally and Megan's eyes widen and their mouths open when they saw me. I found myself smirking as I pulled back the arrow and shot it right into the dummy's heart. It, of course, flew back from impact.

"Alright, when I say snap your fingers, do it."

Canary said as she walked over to the dummy I had just hit. The arrow glowed in its fake heart and fake blood ran down its chest.

"Okay."

She told me. I snapped the fingers of my glove and the arrow disappeared in a split second. She nodded as she wrote something down. I think I might have seen her video taping it as well. While she did that Wally and Megan walked up to me with a big smile on their faces.

"Holy crap! That was awesome! Give it to me Scarlett!"

Wally said with his green eyes brightening as he rose his hand to high-five mine. I stood there for a couple of seconds and became nervous. But something pushed my hand up and I managed to slap his hand with mine. He smiled and then started telling Megan something that I wasn't listening too. I stared at my hand and smiled slightly. I can't believe I did that! I'm so proud of myself!

"Scarlett? What are you thinking about?"

Megan asked me; bringing me out of my trance.

"Oh! N-nothing...It's nothing..."

And that is the end of the chapter! Yeah, this chapter was just a filler so there wasn't really a story to it. In the next chapter, I might add the story in it and go from there. Question, can you guys tell me whether I should add Artemis in there or should I just replace her with Scarlett. Please put your answer in a PM to me or a review and comment :D also, I had someone tell me that I should put the name of the chapter. For example Ch. 1: Scarlett. Should I do that for the chapters because I mean, It's already in the chapter index. Well that's all, thanks for reading and I will see you next time.I DO NOT OWN YOUNG JUSTICE!
