AN: I'm back! Thank you all so much for the reviews! They mean a lot! Anyways, I've decided to take personal requests. So if you want me to write you a Soul Eater fic, just leave a review or PM with the details and I'll consider it! The usual warnings for this story still apply, so there is yaoi, suggestive themes, language...this is rated M for a reason, people. Other than that, enjoy!
Disclaimer: Soul Eater does not belong to me.
Soul walked casually down the empty streets of Death City, hands clasped lazily behind his head. He stifled a yawn as he turned the corner leading down a more secluded road that would lead him to Gallow's Mansion.
"It's too early for this shit," The scythe grumbled, wearing a scowl as he did so. He honestly hated getting up before noon on the weekends, but this time he had no choice in the matter; his meister demanded he meet her at Kid's place before breakfast at eight this morning. He briefly recalled their conversation from the night before.
The small two bedroom apartment was relatively quiet, its only current occupant fast asleep in his bed. Soul grinned slightly in his slumber, pleased at the dream playing through his mind. The images shattered along with the serene silence of the apartment as his phone started ringing. Sitting up reluctantly, the albino groaned and picked up the phone with a frown. Seeing that the Caller ID read 'Maka', he quickly answered it.
"Maka? What's goin' on?" He yawned sleepily.
"Hey, Soul. Nothing much, but I do have a question for you," Maka replied. She sounded too cheerful, which agitated the weapon. Didn't she know what time it was?
"Couldn't you have waited a bit longer? You know, 'til after you came back?" Soul whined. She woke him up to ask a simple question?
"No, I'm sorry, but it couldn't wait."
"...Ugh, fine. Hurry up and ask," He grumbled after a moment's silence. If she can't wait until later to ask, it must be urgent then, right? Maka was silent for a moment before she asked,
"How would you like to play a role in Patty's movie?"
Soul was dumbfounded. Patty was filming a movie? That was the last thing he expected to hear. Shaking his head in an attempt to clear it, he repeated uncertainly,
"Patty's making a movie?"
"That's what I said," Maka scoffed. "So? Will you?"
"Hn, I dunno. Acting isn't really my thing," Soul replied with a slight shrug. He heard hushed whispers on the other end, and Maka's voice came back, though with a slight pleading tone lacing through it.
"Can you consider it? Patty wrote the part specifically for you! The rest of us will be there, too, so it's not just you acting!"
So they actually needed him to play the part? Well, if everyone else was gonna do it, and if they really made a certain role for him, then what kind of friend would he be if he turned them down? Running a hand lightly through his snow-colored locks, he muttered a short response.
"Okay."
Cheering sounded from the other line, and for a brief moment, Soul wondered if the other girls had been listening the entire time. Maka's voice once again rang through the phone, though this time with joy and accomplishment.
"Great! Come over to Kid's place before breakfast at eight tomorrow morning. That means: get up early!"
Soul paused before the massive building, taking a moment to gather his thoughts before knocking on the broad doors. Only a few moments had passed when both doors were flung open by none other than a very excitable Patty.
"G'morning!" She chirped, gesturing vigorously with a single hand for him to enter. Soul grinned and followed the blonde weapon inside, gazing around the interior of the mansion.
"Huh. Sure has been a while since I was here," He murmured, glancing curiously at a pair of paintings that hung adjacent to one of the main hallways. "...Were those there the last time I came over?"
"Ha-ha! Nope! I busted one of the pictures that used to be there, so Kiddo went ahead and replaced both!"
"Right. So, where's Maka?" Soul asked after a brief moment.
"Here!"
Both weapons turned to face the familiar scythe meister that strolled down the hall with Tsubaki and Crona close behind. Maka offered a warm smile, lifting her eyes slightly to meet Soul's.
"Hiya, Maka!" Patty cheered, "You have a good night?"
"Despite sleeping for only about three hours, I feel great!" She replied with high spirits. Soul internally groaned; it was way too early to be so...happy.
"Okay, so I'm supposed to act or something, right? Can we start so I can go back to sleep?" Soul snapped once the cheerful atmosphere proved to be too much for his tired brain to handle.
"Oh, yeah! Here, lemme get somethin' real quick!" Patty exclaimed, bolting from the room and up the grand staircase. Just as she disappeared out of sight, Liz came into view from out of one of the bedroom doors.
"Morning to all," She yawned sleepily, trudging past the group to enter the kitchen.
"Still tired?" Tsubaki questioned softly, careful of her volume since she knew the quiet tone would be appreciated. It worked, for Liz's temper remained even. She poked her head out of the kitchen.
"Yep. I'm making coffee for anyone that wants some," Liz announced after another brief yawn.
"I don't think I can deal with caffeine," Crona mumbled, though the rest of the group showed gratitude for the coffee.
Just as everyone settled at the dining table with cups of coffee in hand, Patty made her reappearance. She bounded down the stairs three at a time and bounced her way over to Soul, giggling all the while. She held up a thick stack of papers and shoved them into his face.
"Here ya go! I finished the script earlier! This is one of the many copies I just printed!"
"Uh...okay?" Soul replied hesitantly, gingerly taking the script from Patty's outstretched hand. He examined the cover, noticing the title of the future movie was called 'Coming Out'. He frowned, wondering just what he would have to do. He had been so tired the night before that he had just agreed without giving the idea as much thought as he normally would-and should-have.
"Read it!" Patty commanded, pointing a finger directly into his face. Soul gave a light shrug and did as he was asked. He flipped to the first page, already beginning to read the lines he would have to later recite.
(Soul runs down the hall, dragging Kid closely behind him. Both dash into an open classroom and quickly shut the door. Each pause to catch their breath before Kid turns to face Soul.)
Kid: That was a pretty reckless move, Soul. What if someone catches us in here?
Soul: Ha, don't worry 'bout it. There's still fifteen minutes 'til lunch ends, so (Gains devilish grin) what should we do in that time, hmm?
Kid: (Blushing lightly) W-Well, I'm up for whatever you want to do...
Soul: (Grin broadens) So, anything I wanna do? Like-
(Soul reaches an arm around Kid's waist and tugs him closer. Kid yelps in surprise and Soul leans closer to his face.)
Soul: -this?
Kid: I-If that's what you want to do-
Soul: No, Kid. What do you want?
(Soul tilts his head and lightly nips at Kid's neck. Kid visibly shudders and leans heavily into the embrace.)
Kid: ...I-I...want you, Soul.
What. The. Fuck. Soul jerked his head up to send Patty a look of confusion.
"Okay, I give. What is this?"
"Your role!" Patty snickered, clamping a hand over her mouth to stifle her oncoming laughter.
"But in this script you have me and Kid-"
"Act as a couple!" She interrupted gleefully.
"He wouldn't agree to do this!" Soul snapped. The idea that Kid would actually agree to play a role in a romance? Unthinkable!
"Oh, but he already has," Liz interrupted with a smirk.
That exact moment is when Kid chose to enter the dining area. He was surprised to find that most of his friends were there already, and they seemed to be having some sort of argument.
"Um, can somebody fill me in, please?"
"Just discussing the movie!" Patty chirped.
"...Oh. That. Well...I have to, uh, fold the toilet paper!" Kid said quickly, turning to escape the tense atmosphere. However, the back of his shirt collar was grabbed by a certain elder Thompson sister, who in turn wore a sly grin.
"You, my dear meister, aren't going anywhere. Besides, the toilet paper is already folded."
"I-"
"Say, you didn't actually agree to do this movie, did you?" Soul butted in. The albino was obviously a bit confused and very pissed about the whole situation. At the sudden question, Kid jerked in Liz's grasp and looked to Soul with slightly widened eyes. After a moment, he lowered his head in shame and choked out a quiet 'yes'.
"No point in trying to weasel your way out of it now!" Patty declared, "So we should just get started already!"
"What, you mean now?" Kid asked in bewilderment. The blonde weapon only scoffed.
"Yeah, now. C'mon! We gotta set up!"
And with that, Patty took the arms of her older sister and Maka and promptly dragged them towards the hallway, the three giggling all the while. After a moment, Tsubaki and Crona made their way down the hall as well. This left the two boys alone in each others' presence. Soul let out a loud yawn and turned to the shinigami beside him.
"Well, looks like we're officially screwed."
I thought that would be a good place to end it. So, how'd you guys like the sneak peek of Patty's script? Well, expect to see more of it! Anyways, the next chapter should feature some acting from our two yaoi candidates, so expect that as well. Like I mentioned before, I'm taking story requests. They can feature any character or pairing, be it yaoi, yuri, or the traditional straight couple with any rating. Just give me the details in a review or PM and I'll consider it!
