Chapter 3
Harry groaned and slowly lifted his heavy eyelids to stare at his bedroom ceiling." It was all a dream, just a weird and slightly over complicated dream" he sighed out in utter relief slowly lifting himself into a sitting position.
"Hate to break it to you little cousin, but I'm more like a fucking nightmare instead of an over complicated dream. In fact I think I should be a nit insulted" Shadow laughed out sitting on Harry's desk, causing said boy to whip his head around to stare at her in absolute horror.
"Y-you're real?!" Harry stammered out jumping up and backing away from Shadow quickly.
"What's going on up here?!" Vernon yelled out throwing the bedroom door open and pausing seeing Shadow causing his face to pale instantly.
"When the bloody hell did you get here?!" he squeaked out nervously as Dudley peeked over his shoulder.
"Shadow! I didn't know you where coming over here this summer! Did mum keep it as a surprise?" he asked excitedly causing Harry's jaw to drop open in surprise.
"You know about her?!" he squeaked out in pure disbelief causing Dudley to notice Harry was in the room along with Shadow.
Dudley looked at Harry confused, before modding his head slowly. "Of course I do, she's our older cousin. Didn't you know about Shadow? I know she sent you owl's during the school year" he asked confused causing Harry to shake his head in confusion to answer the large boys question.
Harry looked at Shadow curiously to find her leaning back out the open window smoking a cigarette. "Yeah I did, the past couple of years really. Once I knew you were going to school I tried to get a hold of you. I figured maybe you were wary of suddenly realising you had an older cousin and were slowly coming to terms with it. I figure you wouldn't be a rude kid with everything our Aunt had told my mom and I about you. But after the first year of never getting a response from you no matter how many letters my mother and I sent you, I started to get a bit peeved. So we sent a letter to your magical gaurdian, Albus Dumbledore to see what was going on. He told us that you weren't really sure what was happening at the time of us sending you the letters and that he would talk to you about us. Explain who we were, and why we didn't really have contact with you the whole time since it was his idea to keep our realtionship a secert so 'the wrong sort of people didn't find out about us and try to use us against you.' His word's not our's I can promise you that. But it seems like your lovely headmaster hasn't been delivering our letters to you or done anything he swore he would" she sneered out angrily.
"Headmaster? What does he have anything to do with my mail?" Harry asked confused as Vernon quickly scrambled out of the room, so Dudley could walk in and sit at Harry's desk chair.
Shadow looked at Harry stunned before smacking Dudley's hand away from her cigarette. "You mean you have no clue what is going on with your things in the wizarding world? No clue about Dumbledore is to you or what's going on with your holdings?"
Harry shook his as Dudley pouted and leaned back. "I thought you and Aunt Rose where the ones who took care of everything that went on with your side of the family? What does an old man have anything to do with Harry or his things?" he asked as Harry sat back down on his bed heavily.
Shadow stared at Harry quietly for a moment. "Harry, I want you to answer me as honestly as you can. Do you really not know a single thing about our family, or anything dealing with them pertaining to the wizarding world? Nothing about any of us or you at all?" she asked lowly as Harry shook his head in a negative.
"I didn't even know that I had any other blood family beside Aunt Petunia and Dudley, until today that is" he admitted slowly, watching Shadow's face slowly darken in absolute rage.
"Your Headmaster, one Mister Albus Dumbledore hasn't told you a single thing? Has he talked to you about anything dealing with your money or anything your parents left for you after passing on?" she whispered out through clenched teeth trying to control her anger enough to speak clearly.
Harry and Dudley only stared at her in shock, unable to say anything as they watched Shadow stand from the desk and throw herself to the floor and started to stomp her feet angrily.
Shadow closed her eyes and stilled, slowly breathing through her nose. "I'm going to slowly kill that man, I'm going to torture him for weeksss making him beg for death before I finally kill him. That greedy, lying old man!" she hissed out in parseltounge causing Harry's mouth to drop open in shock.
"Y-you can speak parseltounge?!" Harry gasped out in shock as Dudley looked between the two dark haired teenagers in confusion.
Shadow slowly opened her glowing amber eyes to stare straight into shock green ones. "Yess I can, it hasss been passsed down for generationsss in our Potter blood. There are very few bloodlinesss that can sspeak parsseltounge, however the Potterss are one of the oness who can" she confirmed smugly starting to grin darkly.
Harry slowly closed his gaping mouth. "R-really? It'ss been passssed down? I've been told that only one perssson can sspeak parsseltounge. No one told me our family wasss able to sspeak it naturally" he stuttered out in shock causing Dudley to pout angrily.
"Can we speak a language that everyone in this room speaks? It's not bloody fair you two can speak in hisses to each other and I can't understand a damn word you're saying" he huffed out angrily as Shadow flicked the butt of her cigarette out the window.
"Of course baby cousin, sorry about that! Forgot you can't speak that language honestly. Mum and I speak it to each other all the time back home" Shadow laughed out as Harry sat quietly thinking over everything he just heard.
'What the hell is going on? We can speak parseltounge naturally?! I thought only Voldemort could do that?! Why am I suddenly learning I have more blood family. Why haven't I been getting any of my mail? Did my parents really leave me anything?' Harry asked himself causing his head to spin. 'I need to figure out what is going on, what is happening to me. Is this a reason I can't remember the beginning of the summer?' he rushed out to himself. Harry slowly raised his head to stare at Shadow and Dudley laughing over something the larger boy had just said.
"Shadow?" he slowly asked causing said person to stare at him curiously.
"What's up little cuzzo?" she asked leaning forward interestingly.
"Can you tell me everything that Dumbledore has been hiding from me? Anything that I should have already known before now?" Harry asked hesitantly.
Shadow blinked in shock before her face suddenly started to spread out into a bloodthirsty grin causing both boys to stiffen up in fear.
"Where do you want to start?" she asked darkly, causing Harry to swallow to wet his suddenly dry mouth.
"From the beginning" he answered firmly after sharing a quick wary look with Dudley. Shadow chuckled lowly while taking her pack of cigarettes from her pocket. "It would be my absolute pleasure" she cackled snapping her fingers, suddenly causing a bright roaring flame to be at her fingertips.
Harry and Dudley stared at Shadow speechless while she took a deep pull lighting her cigarette and flicking her wrist to the side, like she was batting away a fly causing the flame to disappear.
"It all started two month before your parents were killed, on August 31st 1981..." Shadow started out slowly while leaning back onto the windowsill getting comfortable.
I'm alive! Sorry for such the long time in between updates! I ended up having children and moving around a lot. Plus my writing muse completely left me. Hopefully she's coming back now I can write some more but no complete promises! I swear I will update any of my other stories as soon as I can!
