Rose bit the inside of her lip and folded her arms over her stomach. The Doctor was leant against the door frame, laughing with Sarah-Jane. Rose knew she was being stupid, but she couldn't help it.
Watching his eyes light up with a childish, care-free joy Rose finds herself feeling sick. She wants to be the one to put the light there. She turns away.
As she does, she doesn't see the Doctor take his eyes of Sarah-Jane to look at her. Rose doesn't realise that she's the one who fixes the light in his tired old eyes.
