A/N: Thanks for reading & reviewing. I love the Johnny/Pike dynamic and am glad others do too :) This was originally supposed to be one chapter, but sometimes it's nice to write something light for a change.

Mike slid his arm around Paige's shoulder, slightly embarrassed that his romantic gesture of bringing Paige dinner while she was on a stakeout ended with him falling asleep before he finished eating. He was even more embarrassed that he didn't wake up until Paige gently shook him awake because it was time to leave and she wanted to take his car, leaving Zelanski to take back the van while Johnny rode with them. "Sorry about tonight," Mike murmured, kissing the top of her head as they walked upstairs.

Paige shrugged, "You were up almost 36 hours."

"Get a room already," Johnny groaned, rushing past the two of them on the stairs.

"Hey, slow down!" Jakes said, walking downstairs as Johnny ran by. "What's he going on about?"

"Paige spent more time watching Mike sleep than watching her mark!" Johnny called over his shoulder.

"I did not!" Paige insisted.

Mike pulled her closer, "I won't tell if you did," Mike whispered, smiling as Paige slipped her arm around his waist.

"I thought you were home sleeping," Jakes said.

"I woke up, then I left," Mike simply answered.

Jakes shook his head as he passed them on the stairs, "Nevermind, I don't want to know."

"Were you really watching me sleep?" Mike curiously asked. Paige nudged him forward when he stopped outside her door, signaling she wanted to sleep in his room. Paige had become a lot more comfortable with their relationship the past month or so, but things were still relatively new between them. She had never had a problem with PDAs but wasn't a fan of that lovey dovey bullshit as she called it. He quickly realized she was more likely to have sex with him in public than to slow dance with him at some overpriced restaurant, and he was okay with that. He was more of a romantic than she was, but he wasn't some sap. Most of the time.

"Watching you snore was a hell of a lot more interesting than watching nothing happen across the street," Paige deflected, but the small smile she gave him as he led her into his room was all the confirmation he needed that there was some truth to Johnny's words.

Paige liked to tease him about how he liked to watch her sleep, but it seemed she had been caught in the act and he had witnesses to back him up in case he ever wanted to call her out the next time she teased him.

"I wasn't snoring." Johnny would've said something to him about it and that was the one thing Johnny hadn't teased them about on the ride home.

"If you say so, I'm the one that was awake," Paige said and held up her phone, before wandering in the bathroom to brush her teeth. "Maybe took a video or two."

Mike shook his head and started rifling through his dresser and left a tshirt for her on the bed. They settled into a comfortable silence as they fell into their nighttime routine. It was probably about a month ago that they started sleeping in the same bedroom without having sex first. As much as he always wanted her, there were nights where they were too exhausted to do anything but sleep. Tonight was definitely one of those nights.

After finishing in the bathroom, Mike started turning down the bed, watching Paige slip on his tshirt before climbing into bed. "Are you going to show me those videos?" Mike asked, pretty sure that these videos didn't exist. Mike stripped down to his boxers, tossing his clothes in the hamper in his closet and leaving Paige's on a chair. She could toss hers in with his laundry if she wanted, but he was too tired to check the labels to see if her shirt needed to be hand washed or not. He made that mistake once and wasn't planning to make it again.

Paige met his gaze, "Later, first let's get you into bed sleeping beauty."

"Bed..." He had managed to get a few hours of sleep earlier, but he had been so tired his sleep had been restless. That was part of the reason he got up and left. Mostly, he just wanted to see Paige. But if he had realized he would fall asleep so soon after showing up, he would've stayed home. Maybe he'd sleep easier with Paige curled up next to him. And maybe he was more of a sap than he originally thought.

Perfect.

"SLEEP!" Paige exclaimed.

Mike climbed into bed next to her, "If you wear me out, it'll help me sleep," Mike suggestively said, trailing his fingers along her arm.

"If you fall asleep before we're finished, I'm telling everyone."

"I won't fall asleep," Mike promised, pulling her closer for a kiss as his hand wandered beneath her tshirt.

"I'm not doing all the work."

Mike teased her with several short kisses, noting how her protests died down as his lips wandered along her neck. Paige slid her leg between his and just having her this close to him and feeling her breath on his skin was enough to keep him motivated to stay up for at least the next fifteen minutes or so. He definitely didn't have the energy for one of their all night marathon sessions, but the promise of Paige pressed up against him was quickly giving him some energy. "You won't. I took a nap earlier."

"Sleep, Mike." Paige gently placed her hand over his and he reluctantly pulled his hand away and she kissed his cheek. Mike dropped a kiss on her forehead, relaxing as she settled into his embrace.

"I would kill to leave my phone behind for just one night," Paige said.

"I checked in before we left, everything's quiet with my case so I think we're safe, unless you get called in," Mike said, spreading out the blanket on the grass.

Paige immediately knelt on the blanket and started unpacking the contents of the picnic basket MIke brought. Kettle corn. Candy. Cookies. Potato chips. Brownies. All sorts of movie snacks, the perfect mix of sweet and salty, plus a few beers and water. "What are they showing?"

"The Wizard of Oz." Since his plans for taking Paige to an outdoor concert got scrapped, he found an outdoor movie to take her to instead. Family friendly, but Paige liked old movies and it was one of her favorites.

Paige excitedly turned around, beaming, clearly pleased with his date night plans. "Seriously?"

"Seriously."

Paige threw her arms around his neck and softly kissed him. "This was my favorite movie as a kid. I must've watched it a hundred times. I drove my brother crazy because it's all I wanted to watch one summer."

Mike tenderly stroked her face, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I remember you mentioning it before." He also remembered her mentioning she was Dorothy for Halloween two years in a row.

"This is perfect. As long as..." Paige's voice trailed off.

"As long as what?" Mike asked. "It's not supposed to rain." He had checked the weather forecast at least five times today. Paige would never let him live it down if she got rained on because he didn't check the weather report.

"You're not going to fall asleep on me, are you?" Paige smirked at him before erupting into a fit of giggles.

Mike shook his head, he was never going to live that down. Everyone had been teasing him about it for days. Mike playfully tackled Paige, his St. Christopher's necklace slipping outside of his shirt. Paige looked up at him, her eyes full of adoration. The first day he saw her, she took his breath away. He had hoped, but never figured she would look at him the same way. There were definitely days where Paige was a riddle wrapped in an enigma, but she always kept him guessing. She challenged him in ways that no other woman had before. She made him feel so alive.

Paige reached up to cup his face in her hand, drawing him out of his thoughts. Her eyes filled with a silent question, wondering where his thoughts trailed off to. Mike lowered his mouth over hers and passionately kissed her, assuring her he was in this moment with her right now. He quickly got caught up in the moment and wished they were anywhere but a park filled with families gathering to watch a movie. Mike pulled back and Paige whimpered in protest as he pulled away. Taking advantage of the fact that his St. Christopher's necklace was within her reach, Paige twisted her hand around the chain and gently tugged on it to pull him back to her.

Mike groaned, readily giving in as Paige kissed him. She released his necklace, moving her hand to the back of his neck as she deepened their kiss. "Family friendly," Mike gently reminded Paige, brushing his lips over hers a few times before moving off her.

Paige let out a frustrated sigh and moved to sit next to him, forcefully handing him a beer. Laughing, Mike took it from her and wrapped his arm around her. "After the movie, we'll hit the beach for a late night swim that won't be family friendly."

Paige stripped, leaving all her clothes in a pile just far enough out of reach from the ocean gently lapping on the shore, as the moon illuminated the night sky. Mike stood frozen in place, watching Paige brazenly run naked into the water, slowing down as she made her way further into the ocean. Once the water reached her waist, she turned around to splash at him as she continued heading deeper into the water, even though he was still on the shore. "No one's out here. Don't be a prude!"

Mike quickly looked around, relieved to see that the beach seemed deserted. Because the last thing he wanted was anyone intruding on their midnight swim. Not just because he didn't want anyone looking at Paige, but so far tonight had been perfect and he wanted to keep it that way.

Well aware of the fact that his beautiful naked girlfriend was beckoning him closer, Mike pushed aside what little modesty he had, which wasn't as much as everyone teased him about and undressed, but he really didn't need Johnny and Jakes wandering outside for a late night bonfire and catching sight of him and Paige in the water. Because their clothes would be gone in a heartbeat. And that was a walk of shame he wasn't looking forward to having, but he didn't care because Paige was waiting for him.

Mike left his clothes next to Paige's and waded out into the water to join her. The water stopped a little below her shoulders, covering her completely, but her hair was soaking wet. He circled around her a few times, as if she was his prey. He snaked his arm around her waist to pull her close, gently running his hand up her spine.

"Hi," Paige whispered.

Mike brushed her wet hair back from her face, "You know what the best part about tonight is?"

"I can think of a few things," Paige suggestively whispered, sliding her hand down his chest until she found what she was searching for.

Mike swallowed, trying to focus, but it was nearly impossible with Paige teasing him. Mike slid his hands around Paige's waist, pulling her closer, realizing he would need to distract her if he wanted to get out a complete sentence. Mike lowered his mouth to hers, deeply kissing her until they were both breathless. He pulled back slightly, resting his forehead against hers, softly laughing at the dazed look in her eyes. "No interruptions."

Paige blankly stared at him for a few moments nodded in agreement once she realized they hadn't had a single interruption on their date tonight. "Well, since we can't bring our phones in the water, we should stay out here as long as you're up for it."
