After a very, very, very long time, I have finally returned! For how long? I don't know. But for now, let's get this show going!
Disclaimer: I don't own Rosario Vampire or RWBY, they belong to Akihisa Ikeda and Roosterteeth.
It is a bright and sunny day in Japan, and a perfect day for the first school semester. There are a few kids between the ages of 12 and 16 seen on the sidewalks heading for their assigned schools while others were on their bikes for the same thing. Meanwhile there are a couple of buses filled with other kids heading for school.
But there is one particular bus heading to a direction different from the others, a bus with a cigar smoking driver with grin on his face and has his eyes hidden in a bus cap. But what sets him apart from others is that his eyes are glowing brightly. Another thing is that there only a single passenger in the bus, a boy at the age of 15 or 16. He has black or dark-brown hair, is wearing a green jacket with a white button up shirt underneath, a red tie, tan pants, and brown shoes. He also has a brown school bag with him.
His name is Tsukune Aono and he is going to be a new high school student. At least that was the plan if he hadn't flunked his entrance exams, meaning he would have to wait a year to go to high school. Fortunately for him, if Tsukune should call it good fortune, his father found an enrollment sheet dropped by a mysterious person. Tsukune questioned if using it when it was found on the street was a good idea, but his parents were too happy to think about that.
And hey, at least he doesn't have to wait a year.
And here Tsukune is, the single student on a bus heading for his destination, which he learned is called Yokai Academy.
"Hey kid," the bus driver spoke, earning Tsukune's attention. "Are you a new student heading to Yokai Academy?" the bus driver asks.
"Uh, yes sir," replied Tsukune, a little nervous. He doesn't know why, but there's something about the driver that creeps him out a little.
"Well in that case you should watch your back over there kid, Yokai Academy can be a scary ass place." the bus driver said with a smirk. If Tsukune wasn't nervous then, then he was now.
Tsukune asks, "What do you mean by tha-" but his cellphone rang before he could finish. He read the caller ID to be Kyoko Aono, his older cousin, so he answers. "Hi Kyoko, how's it going?"
"Hey Tsukune," began Kyoko through the phone, "I talked to your mom and she said you're going to some school called Yokai Academy?"
"Yeah, that's right," Tsukune answers.
"Well since my favorite cousin is gonna be going there I decided to do some research, and you should know-" The signal was immediately cut off right as the bus goes through a tunnel.
"Hello? Kyoko?" Tsukune called, but no use.
As the bus comes out of the other side of the tunnel, it soon stops at a sign which is a scarecrow with a jack-o-lantern for a head. "Okay here's your stop kid," the bus driver said.
Once Tsukune steps out of the but, the first thing he notices is that the bus stop is near a cliff, and at the bottom of the cliff is an odd-looking ocean, odd as in that it is blood-red instead of blue. It was like a completely different world on the other side of the tunnel the bus came out of.
"I'd watch your back if I were you," spoke the bus driver before closing the bus door and driving off. Tsukune then set his brown eyes on an old-looking castle which must have been the school that he was enrolled to.
"I should call Kyoko back," he said as he took out his phone to do just that, hoping he could get some answers. But when he called he had no signal. "That's strange, I had a signal before we went through that tunnel," he wondered out loud.
And now here Tsukune is, walking through a forest full of dead trees, tombstones, and a bunch of creepy crawlies. And don't forget a flock of bats that spooked him just now.
"Okay, I am really starting to get freaked out," Tsukune shivers and then says, "Why did the path to school have to be in this creepy forest?!" And he continues walking through the creepy forest, trying to ignore the creepiness around him.
"HEADS UP!"
By the time Tsukune heard that he ended up being crashed into by a bicycle, falling face first into the ground and heard the sound of metal hit the ground as well. Painfully he got up and saw who crashed into him. Laying next to him is a fair skinned young girl with black hair that fades to dark red at the tips cut in an asymmetrical bob; she wore a girl's version of the outfit he is wearing, thigh-high stockings reaching to a few inches below the hem of her skirt and brown shoes. Topping her outfit, for some reason, is a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulder by cross-shaped pins, almost making her look like a certain fairy tale character with a red hood. The girl stirred and opened her eyes slightly.
"Ow, that's gonna leave a mark," the girl mumbles to herself, not noticing Tsukune yet. "Note to self, never ride a bike again," she said as she gets up and dusts herself before now noticing the boy she crashed into. "Oh, hello, are you the boy I ran into?"
"Um, pretty much, yeah," Tsukune answered awkwardly, not used to talking to girls outside of his family. 'And she's pretty cute too,' he thought.
"Yeah, I'm real sorry about that. It was bound to happen on my first time," the girl say sheepishly.
"It's alright, happens to all of us," Tsukune replies, but then notices what she said about 'first time'. "Wait, first time? You mean that was your first time riding a bike?"
"You caught me," she blushes out of embarrassment, "I never really rode a bike before, but my big sister convinced me into using it instead of running like I usually do."
"So I'm guessing you're a pretty fast runner?" Tsukune asked.
"And one of the best, especially in a full moon!" the girl answered proudly.
"A full moon?" Tsukune asked.
"Yep, a full moon!" she answered once more, and what she did next is something that would baffle Tsukune's mind.
The girl takes a sidestep and, before Tsukune knew it, vanishes in one step. Replacing her is a trail of rose petals, which Tsukune follows with his eyes to where they lead too; right behind him, with the girl standing right there, a bit too close for his comfort.
"Gah!" Tsukune jumps back in shock, not expecting the girl to be too close behind him. He did notice something about her eyes that he didn't catch before. 'Silver eyes?' Tsukune thought before shaking that off and saying, "Don't scare me like that! I nearly had a heart attack!"
"Hehe, sorry about that," she apologizes as she rubs the back of her head. "We werewolves are at our fastest under a full moon, but we're still pretty fast as it is."
"Werewolves, right," Tsukune said. And then he registered what the girl said. "Wait, what? Did you say werewolves?"
"Yeah, I'm a werewolf!" she says. She soon gets nervous a little, asking, "You don't mind werewolves, do you?"
'She has got to be some joke,' is what Tsukune says in his head at first, but then thinks, 'But she does seem nice enough.' Nice however wouldn't be the word for the girl; she looks so innocent that she seems to have an Aura of innocence around her.
"Well, I've never met a werewolf before, but I don't really mind them," Tsukune answers, hopefully answering right.
And it looks like he did as the girl sighs in relief. "Ah good, I was worried there for a moment." She then says, "And judging by your uniform, can I guess that you are going to Yokai Academy too?"
"You guessed right," Tsukune smiles and then says, "And we should probably get there before we're late."
"Right. Can't let my big sis worry about me," she giggles as they grab their bags that were dropped when they crashed. Tsukune noticed that his new friend had an extra bag with her.
"What's in the bag?" he asks.
"Oh, just some cookies and strawberries I brought with me. I may be a werewolf, but I can never resist a cookie and strawberry!" she says.
"It would be hard to resist," he chuckles as he looks at his watch to see the time. And his eyes widen in panic. "Crap! We gotta go now!"
"Why?" she asks.
"It's 7:55!"
"And?"
"We have to be there by 8:00!"
"Oh," the girl responds plainly, until her brain registered what he said. "Oh crap! We gotta go now!"
"That's what I just said!" Tsukune says back. "But I don't think we'll get there in time!"
"Oh yes we can!" the girl exclaims before grabbing Tsukune's arm. "My speed should get us there just in time! Oh by the way my name's Ruby, Ruby Rose! What's yours?"
"It's Tsukune AoNOOOOOOOOOOO!" The now named Ruby Rose runs fast to their destination, and when I say fast, I mean Sonic fast. All while Tsukune is literally in the air from the speed while screaming for his life.
And the occasional rose petals flying right on his face.
'How did I get dragged into this?'
And here's the beta for Rosario RWBY! This probably won't become a full story unless I or someone else attempts it, but I had fun writing it.
Now you'll be wondering "How come this is in the Rosario Vampire/RWBY section instead of X-overs" right? Well I thought that if I put this in Rosario Vampire/RWBY, it could get more attention, which kinda sounds desperate of me. But in a week, I will put this back in X-overs.
So until then, later!
Update: Placed back into X-overs section.
