A/N: This is the last chapter. It's a bit - well a lot more fluffier and less funny than the last two, but I hope you guys enjoy it anyway.
blossom782: Thank you, it's nice to know that people actually liked this story. It's been over 2 years actually...but here's the final chapter. :)
Enjoy!
Brick stared at his girlfriend standing in front of him, wondering what had prompted her visit. Not that he minded he presence, in fact he was infinitely glad for it, however, he had not been expecting her. Yet she was here and he was extremely happy for it.
" Hi," she said as she smiled at him, asking with her eyes if she could come in.
" Hi," he replied back, hesitating for a moment before moving aside to allow her space to enter.
His room was not clean at all, he was planning to do it today but his mood just went downhill in the morning. Currently, there were papers scattered all over his table and books could be seen everywhere away from the bookshelf they were meant to placed in. The laundry which he had also meant to do today lay piled up in one corner of the room.
Had it been any other girl, Brick would have grimaced. But it was Blossom. Blossom who was worse than the others, who cared all about cleanliness and severely reprimanded his laziness whenever he showed even an ounce of it. Hence, Brick did not grimace. No, he awaited for the lecture from hell. Brick was not really a lazy person but when he was just not in the mood to clean, he was deemed as lazy by his girlfriend.
Brick waited for the nonstop lecture, however Blossom simply moved aside some of the books that were lying in his space and made space for herself to sit. She took hold of one of the books and made an impression that she was examining the cover, while Brick awaited for her angry lecture about his laziness. She seemed to be in a generally good mood today, however he was not having high hopes.
She put the book back down and gazed at him with her pretty pink eyes.
" Are you okay? "
And Brick was as confused as hell. Is he okay? That's what she asked?! What, no lecture from hell about his insufferable laziness? No glaring at him for his mess and stomping around demanding that he clean this instance? Well, that one happened during that time of the month, but Brick was still not willing to take risks.
Perhaps she was disguising her anger and has found a clever way to make him nearly scream bloody murder. Well, if so, she was succeeding, because Brick was feeling like an unfortunate deer facing a tigress right now.
He must have taken way too long to answer, because Blossom continued on speaking,
" I mean, I heard you were sick, so I came here to see if you were alright and you look like you are, but are you really?"
This made him pause in his thoughts. Sick? When was he sick? He had not been sick, just planning the death of a rather sneaky thief. You see, this very morning Brick that lost his apple pie, that he spent the whole day yesterday perfecting, to gift a very special person; Blossom. But when he checked it in the fridge this morning, just to see if it needed anything to improve, it was missing.
Brick's apple pie was missing. Missing.
There were only two other occupants in this house other than him, and Brick knew, he just knew, that it was one of them. He just wasn't sure which one . So he spent the entire day sulking and moping for his loss, brooding like a 70 year old man, planning his vengeance, and plotting the death of the sneaky thief. One of his moronic brothers were going to die by the end of the day, he had made the statistics and reviewed the probabilities and improbabilities all the while carrying around a bowl of cereal, uneaten the whole time.
Hey, who said that cereal needs to be eaten? It was merely there to provide comfort to Brick's presence, and give him evil ideas on how to exact his revenge.
" If the culprit is Boomer then you hide every last piece of us from him and add onions to his lunch," the cereal whispered to him in secret whilst his brothers remained unaware. " Or if it's Butch, then you gather every porn magazine he has and give them to Buttercup. That will teach them not to mess with your cooking."
Seriously, the cereal gave him brilliant ideas .
But that aside, Brick was not sick. Just ...conspiring evil plans against his brothers...Nothing bad. He was perfectly innocent. And the hell had told her that he was sick?
Boomer.
Boomer, that idiot has babbled to his girlfriend about his plotting which he misinterpreted as moping to Blossom, who had been worried if he was actually sick. As if he had not had enough on being on the other side of Brick's fist after attempting to steal the all mighty cereal away from him and being one of the two main suspects for the theft of his masterpiece, his beautiful, gorgeous apple pie. Did he want to face Brick's wrath for making his very lovely, and very caring girlfriend worry about him?
Knowing Boomer, he had probably said something that made Blossom think that he was dying or something. No wonder Blossom was worried.
But did Blossom really believe Boomer? She should know by now that Boomer tends to overexaggerate and make everything. He could make the most innocent thing, suck as a kitten seem like a demonic creature merely because it scratched him. The boy was a walking, talking and breathing hyperbole.
However, his Blossom , because she was his, just like he was hers, was rather sweet. She has come here all this way, just to see if he's alright instead of just calling. Very few girlfriends did that nowadays.
Brick sat down on the bed next to her, after clearing some space for him to sit, and looked at Blossom for a while .
" Yeah...sorry for worrying you. But I'm okay, really."
" So you're not really sick?"
" Nope."
" Oh, I kind of figured. I mean, Boomer tends to overexaggerate sometimes..."
" Mhm…yeah...why did you come though? "
" Huh?"
" I mean, if you knew that I was not really sick, why did you come?"
At this Blossom smiled at him. " Well...you're my boyfriend, I wanted to see if you were really sick or not, despite my doubts and maybe, you know, just maybe I missed you..."
A slight smile came to Brick's lips. " Only maybe?"
" Okay I admit, I missed you a lot," she hugged him and Brick smiled, before wrapping his arms around her. His window was open, and a gentle breeze flowed in, making Blossom's beautiful hair flutter and the scent of her strawberry perfume to completely envelope him with its sweet scent.
Distant laughter was heard, and the unmistakeable voices of Butch and Buttercup rang in the back garden.
" I see that they have made up."
" What?" His beautiful girlfriend asked as she looked up at him with her pretty pink eyes.
" Butch and Buttercup. I heard them fight over the phone in the morning. But since she came here to make amends and they both seem happy now, I guess they're okay."
" Ah, yeah...Actually, Buttercup came here with me to see you. "
What? That did not make any sense. And he told her exactly that.
" Well, she heard you were sick and she came here to see you."
"...That's weird."
" Yeah..." Blossom cast her eyes down for a moment, as if she was thinking something deeply.
" Brick...?"
" Yeah?"
" Can I...can I ask you something?"
Blossom's pink eyes shone brilliantly with the setting sun, as if they were shining gems, and Brick was lost in its brilliance.
" Yeah...," he whispered.
" Are you- Don't get angry , please, but...are you and Buttercup- I mean, do you like Buttercup? As in, do you love her?"
Brick stared at her for a moment, before untangling his arms from and collapsing on the bed, laughing like a madman.
" Me and - me and," he tried to speak between his laughs," me and Buttercup?! What the hell made you think that?!"
Blossom looked at him with a weird face. " It's just that...well...oh forget it. So you're not in love with Buttercup?"
" In love?! Blossom, we're only friends!"
" Promise?"
Brick stopped his laughing and gently grabbed hold of her face. " I promise. I only love you. "
Blossom looked up at him through pretty red lashes and smiled softly. "You're only mine...," she whispered softly and Brick nodded in assent.
" I'm glad..."
Those last words were said with such honesty, that made it evident that she was truly afraid of losing him. And Brick was too. While he didn't think Blossom would actually leave him for some other guy, he always had this thing bothering him inside his head, ever since he started to date her. What if she got tired of him? What if she decided that he was too rowdy, that he hadn't changed?
Because Brick did not think he had ever seen a girl more beautiful than Blossom. Some guys might say she was too eccentric, with her bubble-gum pink eyes and blazing red hair, but to Brick, every single part of her was beautiful. But he did not love her only because of her beauty. He loved her for the person that she was, even with her bossiness and tendency to worry about the most impractical thing- such as getting a B for a test, which would never happen, even if the world turns upside down.
She was beautiful, both inside and out. She could have anyone she wanted, but she chose Brick. Even with everything he did to her, Blossom chose him. She loved Brick loved Blossom and he made sure she know that. Why would she ever question it?
He rubbed circles with his thumbs on her pale cheeks. " What made you doubt it? "
" Just a stupid misunderstanding. I'll tell you about it later."
" Okay."
They both smiled at each other , lost in the look of each other's eyes, and Brick just wanted to kiss her at that moment. So he did. And Blossom responded beautifully. Their mouths parted against each other , and their tongues fused together in a gentle embrace. It was sweet and not the type of kisses that Brick usually gave. He usually gave kisses that were more suited for events in the bedroom, and while they were technically in his bedroom and on his bed, that type of kiss just did not seem suitable for the moment.
Blossom slid her hand into his hair and gripped it with slight force, making tingling sensations shoot down his spine. His hands slid from her face down towards her waist, gracing her swan like neck, the curve of her breasts and her flat stomach.
Brick might have intended for the kiss to be sweet but it was soon turning steamy. And Blossom did not seem to mind it one bit. Just when he was really, really starting to enjoy it, a sharp cry rang through the air, effectively interrupting them.
" You bloody Bastard!"
Brick and Blossom jumped away from each other, panting.
" Give it back to me , you bloody witch!"
Blossom sighed. " I should have kept my mouth shut. "
Brick gave a slight chuckle to hide his irritation at being interrupted. " Looks like they're at it again. I knew the peace wouldn't last long."
" I wonder what they're fighting about now? "
A glance outside the window gave them a perfect view of what was happening. Buttercup was straddling Butch's hips and repeatedly punching his stomach, and Butch kept trying to throw her off, all the while holding one piece of apple pie away from Buttercup's reach.
...
Wait a minute. Rewind.
Pie? Apple pie? As in Brick's apple pie? That he searched everywhere in the house after not finding it in the fridge where he was absolutely sure he put it in? The one that took hours and hours of perfecting after many failed attempts? The one he planned to give Blossom?
Why that bloody , short assed, imbecile of a bastard...
" Looks like they're fighting over the last piece...," Blossom observed, " Do you think we should intervene?"
But Brick was not listening to a single word his pretty girlfriend said.
'Hours... I spent hours slaving in the kitchen to make the perfect apple pie to give Blossom...And that bloody bastard stole it...He stole it...from Brick...he kidnapped Brick's apple pie...Butch is a kidnapper of Apple pie...He is a murderer of Brick's efforts...'
" Brick...honey, are you okay? "
' Oh Butch is so dead. Butch is so bloody dead...'
" Brick...? You look very scary right now..."
Brick bet he was. Even he could feel the murderous aura that he was emitting. Not even Blossom could calm him down now.
" I am going to fucking kill him..."
" What?"
" I am going to fucking kill him," he hisses, " I am going to fucking rip apart his limbs, and tear his heart and peel his skin off inch by inch. I am going to castrate him, stab in the gut with a knife, and cut open his scalp. I'm going to kill him and revive him, and kill him again and again until he dies from dieing so much."
" What?! Brick, now wait a minute-"
" Butch Jojo is going to die..."
And with that Brick leaped out on the window, onto soothe his bloodlust. And that boys and girls, is how Butch Jojo died. The end.
...
...
...
Okay, just kidding. He's still alive.
For now.
The end.
A/N: Oh my god! My first kiss scene! As a person who has never been kissed, this was a challenge. I hope it's okay.
After 2 years this story is finally completed. I literally can not believe that I completed a story containing more than one chapter. This is literally the first time.
Of course, my writing is not perfect, but it's okay. I'm sure I'll improve now that I started writing again.
Thanks to everyone who reviewed, and favourite and followed this story. And thank you, everyone, who coped with my terrible writing and read this story till the end.
If you can, please read my stories ' Heartnotes' and 'The Heart Healer' and leave a helpful review ;)
Thanks again.
