Hope you like at least one of these endings lol
It had been a week. No one had seen or heard from Ayame. They barely saw or heard from Hatori. He mostly just sat at Shigure's table, cigarette in one hand, glass of scotch in the other, head on the table, staring out into oblivion. He only left when Akito needed him or someone was sick. He ate little and slept less. It was getting to the point where even Shigure was starting to worry about him.
Two bright golden orbs sparked in the dark. Ivory tresses caressed the moon kissed skin of his face. A rattling noise and a sinister hiss could be heard not far from the man. Golden eyes glared as a streak of silver flew across the room; a blade tearing through a picture of his enemy and embedding itself into the wall.
Yuki walked downstairs to check on Hatori. Tohru had work, Kyo was on the roof not wanting to be around the brooding dragon, and Shigure was useless. The dog sat nervously at the table watching his childhood friend suffer. He honestly did not know how to approach this. It was his fault after all, and he really thought Ayame would have come around to talk to them by now.
A knock at the door gave Shigure the perfect excuse to leave. He smiled and got up heading toward the door.
"I'll get it~" he sang. The brown eyed man opened the door and his heart seemed to stop.
Shigure and Hatori were perhaps the only two people that knew about Ayame's special talents. He was rather good at chemistry, specifically at making poisons. And the snake was particularly gifted with small blades. He almost always kept two on his person. He called them his fangs; and when Shigure opened the door to greet the serpent, one of his fangs went straight into his foot.
Shigure yelped in pain and started to bend down to take the knife out of his foot but Ayame stopped him. An arm slithered around the dog's neck pulling him back up into a standing position. Shigure reached up to pull the arm away but froze when he felt the sting of the snake's second fang on his throat.
"A-Aya-" He started, feeling the cold fingers of the serpent on his forehead pulling his head back to expose his neck further.
"Shigure..." The black haired man could feel his cousin's breath on his ear.
"Y-you don't really want to do this ..." The dog chuckled nervously. "I mean what would Akito say?" he felt the blade dig deeper into his neck, piercing the skin, a bead of crimson running down his throat.
"If you even think of getting between Hatori and me ever again..." his grip tightened making Shigure struggle against him slightly. "I'll cut off your cock and send it to Akito, Van Gough style." Anger seethed out of Ayame's mouth and into the dog's ear. "Do I make myself clear?"
Shigure trembled and carefully nodded. "P-Perfectly."
Ayame released him, letting him fall to the ground, sputtering with a hand on his throat. The dog reached down and pulled the knife out of his foot and tossed it aside. He noted the odd coloration of the wound and growled quietly at it.
Ayame put his blades away and walked to the sitting area where Hatori was getting up to see what was going on. His silver serpent swayed as he walked towards the dragon. Hatori looked away still shamed of himself. Ayame closed the space between them and kissed the dragon passionately. Hatori returned it but then pulled away.
"But Ayame, I-" he was cut off by Ayame shaking his head.
"I forgive you darling." He smiled.
Hatori stammered a bit, confused but soon gave up trying to understand. He wrapped and arm around Ayame's waist and they headed out the door. Hatori quirked an eyebrow at Shigure as they slipped their shoes on, the dog sat on the floor trying to stop his foot from bleeding.
"Oh pay no attention to him, darling, he's just being overly dramatic." The snake hissed at the dog.
Hatori looked down at Shigure's discolored foot as Ayame dragged him out.
Yuki stood in the hall, he had been there since Shigure answered the door, he found that he was unable to move, paralyzed with fear of his older brother. He was finally snapped out of it when Shigure tried to stand. Yuki ran over to help him.
"Ayame, you didn't..." Hatori sounded more like he was scolding a child.
"Don't worry it's nothing serious he'll just have something like food poisoning for a few days." He reassured the doctor.
"Ayame..." He shook his head sighing.
"I had to make sure he would never forget this." Sly golden eyes brightened as he turned to face Hatori, walking backwards.
Olive eyes widened as he remembered how sick Akito had gotten just after injuring his eye. He stared at the grinning snake in disbelief.
And that's it! Tell me what you think and ending you liked better! Personally I like the poison fangs but I wasn't sure if I wanted make Aya that dark.. Lol
