Hi, sorry for such a long wait for chapter 2, i'll be honest i struggle the most in this story since everything I write has souichirou out of character, but I think I've laid out a plot that should properly represent him. That said here comes chapter 2 of third time's a charm.
The 2 were silent as they flew trough the sky. Neither had instructed the other but their minds concluded on the same place to go to- ryoudouji temple. Caster and Kuzuki descended about half way on the temples large steps. They then began walking the rest of the way up on foot. They did so in silence for most of the way. But after awhile Kuzuki stopped at a certain point and it did not go unnoticed by Caster. "Souichirou-Sama?" She asked gently. Kuzuki said nothing for a moment, he was just staring at the ground. He then lifted his head with the same cool head he always kept as he said "This was where I found you." Caster froze. He was right, she could even see the flowers that had been growing on that rainy night. Kuzuki looked up at the sky and the setting sun then turned to Caster. "It's getting dark we should keep moving, there's just a little way to go." He walked past her began walking again. Caster paused for a moment then smile to herself as she followed him.
Eventually they reached the top of the temple steps and walked through the gate, both thinking of the previous assassin who had greeted them there numerous times before. Though Caster would only ever say he was a nuisance more then anything else she felt a sort of disappointment with him not being there. Upon entering through the gates they were greeted by a monk that was sweeping the entrance. He was a fairly elderly man with a bald head and bushy grey eyebrows that masked his eyes. He wore a simple Buddhist robe. "Oh Kuzuki-san, you came back, and your wife hasn't left you that's good." The man said recognizing the temple's former residents. "Sure was strange of you 2 to go and leave without saying anything, did something happen?" The monk continued as they walked up to him. Caster was thinking of a lie when Souichirou spoke. "One of my wife's family members fell ill, we flew back and been taking care of her for the years.." Caster was amazed with how he was able to come up with such a lie so quickly, perhaps he had been thinking the entire time up the temple steps about it. The monk frowned at the news. "Well sorry to hear that, but I'm sure they were in good hands if your wife is half as caring to her family as she was to you." He said smiling again at the bespectacled man. Caster blushed in embarrassment but then grew depressed. She hadn't been very kind to her family, she had betrayed and deserted them, going so far as to kill her own brother in front of her father. Of course she was under the influence of the blasted God of love but that didn't stop the guilt that flowed through her once more. The monk saw the downcast emotion in the girls face and put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry it must be hard to lose a loved one, if it gives any comfort we haven't gotten rid of your things and the rooms have remained the same after the construction, we don't get much visitors so we had no reason to touch them." The man said trying to get Caster's mind on other things. Kuzuki bowed and thanked the monk then grabbed Caster's hand and let them to their room.
They slid the door back and entered, to their surprise the monk was right, the room had remained practically unchanged. The beds had been fixed since they last left but besides this and the dust there was nothing to suggest they had ever left the place. "I thought my life wouldn't have changed but who would've thought it extended beyond my death." He said in a tone unfamiliar to him, it sounded almost as if he was disappointed, as if he hadn't wished for things to have gone unchanged. But Medea did not get the chance to think about his thoughts much more as he sat down and motioned her to sit across from him. She did so and waited for him to say what he must have been thinking. What he said surprised her. "Do you want me to kill you?" She was taken aback. "P-pardon Souichirou-sama?" I cared nothing for my life since my birth, I lived it simply because I was given it, now that I've lost it I have no need to live again, if this is how you feel as well then would you like me to kill you?" He said. Medea was baffled, but one sentence kept echoing in her head and she threw her arms around him and began crying as she said pleadingly. "Please care for your life, please value your life." she sobbed. "I didn't want you to die, I still don't want you to die!"she cried . Souichirou's eyes widened and his eyes and put his hands around her. "I'm sorry" he said plainly "I said something selfish if you wish to live then I shall live with you." She pulled her head back and looked at him. "Souichirou-sama." She whispered as she leaned closer to his face when suddenly the loud noise of a chopper interrupted them. They stepped out to see what was happening.
A chopper had landed in front of the gate, James and Vincent was stepping out of it when they caught sight of their servants. "Caster! Kuzuk!" They shouted as they ran over to them. "Oh my the young masters are visiting today as well." They monk said marveling at how many guests the temple was getting today. "Masters?" Caster said confused. "Oh I forgot to say, for some reason these 2 boys and their family helped covers the costs of the temple's repair after it got ruined in that accident. The police never did find out what caused it." The old man said thinking back to that time where Berserker had attacked them in the temple." "What brings you 2 here today anyways?" The monk asked the boys. "We just came to greet the 2 people here." Vincent said pointing to Caster and Kuzuki. "There're friends of ours" James added. "OH! Well that sure is a coincidence Kuzuki kept to himself so much I didn't think he had friends." The old man chuckled. "Anyways grandpa can we have a moment to ourselves?" "Oh of course I just finished sweeping anyways." The old man said as he began hobbling off.
"Knew you would come here." James said proudly. "Anyways Vincent has something to say." They turned to Vincent and he got on his knees and bowed before them. "I am so sorry, I said some harsh things I shouldn't have. As someone who has never had to deal with such a scenario it was wrong of me to so simply judge your actions. I want to say again both me and my brother only want you to get the grail."Caster laughed. "I can't possibly stay mad after such an honest apology as this." She said mocking him a little but mostly meaning it. "Very well, we shall forgive you won't we?" She said turning towards Kuzuki. He simply answered "What's the plan."
James motioned them to get on the helicopter. "The holy grail already started, and looks like 2 masters have already bumped into each other." Vincent hurried them onto the chopper. "Come on we don't want to be late to the party." With everyone aboard the chopper took off into the sky.
