Hazel walked into the giant house and went doe-eyed.

"Holy crap…" mumbled the black haired girl, dragging a suitcase while walking over to Jason. "You actually freakin' lived here? For real?"

"Ya, don't remind me." Muttered Jason, stopping in front of a man in a tuxedo.

"Master Jason." Greeted the man.

"Hey Alfie." Grinned Jason, holding his hand out.

"Master Jason, I have known you since you were 10 (A/N I forget his age when Bruce found him, so I'm guessing, sorry if I'm wrong!) I believe a hug is appropriate." Said the British man, stepping up to hug the big, scary Redhood. It was a quick hug, only lasting for a quarter moment before the stepped back.

"Rooms have been prepared; I believe Master Dick can show you to them. Now if you'll excuse me." With that, Alfred walked away, to some other part of the gigantic house.

"So, where's the demon spawning?" Asked Jason as Dick led them up stairs.

"You know, here and there…"

"You have no idea do you?" asked Jason with a grin.

"I do not, no." answered Dick, shaking his head and grinning right along with Jason. "But we should probably discuss the detail of… you know." Said Dick, glancing back at Hazel.

"You mean Redhood joining the League?" interjected Hazel in her best innocent voice.

"How'd you... forget it. You've got bat blood in you." Said Dick with a smirk. "Damian!" called Dick.

"No need to shout, Grayson." Said a black haired boy, emerging from a room.

"Can you show Hazel around?" asked Dick, but the tone of his voice sounded a bit more like a demand and not a question.

Damian simply snarled in response before walking away, motioning for Hazel to follow over his shoulder.

"This is where you'll be staying. I assume you are capable of finding your way around. We've already eaten, since it is nine o'clock. Good day." Said Damian briskly, turning on his heels.

"Alright Stewie, see you later then." Mumbled Hazel, stepping into the overly large room.

Damian stopped in his tracks and spun on his heels. "My name," he growled "is Damian. Damian Wayne."

"Are you telling me you don't know who Stewie is?" asked Hazel, a small smirk dancing on her lips.

"No. I assume he is a character from a television program, yes?"

"You've never seen family guy?!" shouted Hazel, outraged. "How are you still alive?!"

"I don't believe-"

"Save it. We're watching it. Right now. C'mon, you can show me where your T.V is. I'm guessing you have an Xbox?"

"Yes, but-"

"Then what are we waiting for? C'mon!" Hazel said, grabbing Damian's wrist and pulling him along. "Close your mouth, you'll catch flies." Smirked Hazel, seeing Damian's gawking face.

"Here you go." Smiled Dick, opening the door to Jason's old room.

"Cut the crap, golden boy." Jason said, shaking his head.

"What do you mean, little Wing?"

"Come on, stop being suck a dick."

"Stop being such a Jason."

Jason simply glared at Dick for a moment.

"Fine." Sighed Dick. "Look, Jay, they're going to put you in jail. With little Red. I couldn't just let that happen, and they all agreed that if you didn't kill people we'd probably be begging you to join, so… no killing people for a month. If they see you can, and you agree to not kill unless it's completely necessary, then you're in."

"And if I don't want in?"

"Like I said, they want you in jail. With Hazel."

Jason sighed and flopped back on the bed, throwing his hands over his face. "This sucks."

"I'm aware."

"You know, I didn't try to pull her into this life or anything."

"Ya?"

"It just… happened."

"I'm almost one hundred percent sure Bruce had this same conversation with Alfred concerning each and every one of us." Dick sat down on the bed and nudged Jason's knee with his own. "How did it happen?"

"Well…"

Jason was walking home when he heard grunting coming from an alleyway. Curious, he walked down the alley and saw one small kid, fending off four big guys with what looked like a switchblade. She stabbed the first one right between his shoulder blades and kicked him to the ground. One of them ran when they saw the guy hit the concrete. She kicked one in his crotch and stabbed his head when he bent down before kicking him into the wall. The last guys just stood there for a second before the kid took a step towards him and he ran.

The kid started to walk towards Jason's end of the alley, limping.

"Hey kid, you okay?" he asked walking towards them. They turned and glared, and Jason realized it was a girl. But it was hard to tell with her hood pulled up.

"Okay… can I ask why you're wielding a switchblade in this day and age?"

"No." growled the kid, who stopped for a second to cough. Jason wasn't all that concerned, until he saw some blood fall out of her mouth and onto the ground.

"Kid, c'mon. Let me take you to the hospital." Tried Jason, reaching out to touch her should.

"Screw off, man." Mumbled the girl.

"Then where are you going to go, eh?"

"No where. I'm fine." She growled, couching again.

"Where are your parents?"

"Leave me alone."

"Where are your parents?"

"Gone."

"Oh." Jason didn't keep talking. He knew gone, it could mean a lot of things. Dead, abusive, drunk, runaway, excreta. "Well, you've still got to let me take you to a hospital."

"No."

"Kid—"

"I said screw off!" demanded the kid, who began to run.

"Hey! Kid!" Jason called, running after her. When he found her she was passed out in an alley, surrounded by a pool of blood mixed with vomit.

He simply picked her up and took her to the hospital, they checked out her injuries, fixed her up, and Jason brought her back to his apartment. When she woke up, she freaked out a bit, but Jason calmed her down and got her to eat a bowl of soup.

"The Outsiders." She mumbled.

"What?"

"The reason I have a switchblade. The Outsiders. It's a good book."

"She's been with me ever since." Jason said at the end of his story.

"Wow. Is there a reason you narrorated that in 3rd person?"

"Maybe."

"Well, you should sleep on it. Decide whether you want to be part of the League or on the run."

"Aren't I always on the run?"

"Not from all the world's heroes. Night, Jay bird." Said Dick, leaving.
