As excited as he was, Yugi still didn't want it to be friday. Sure, they were graduating, but it pained him to get up and go to his last day with his friends. He was eating his toast and started out the door when his grandfather stopped him.

"You alright my boy"? Solomon Moto rubbed his eyes.

He lied, "yes I'm fine, everything's ok."

"Well alright then." His grandfather looked suspicious. "You know you can talk to me about anything-I was once your age you know."

"Yes I know. Thanks grandpa." He hugged him lightly before leaving through the door.

Yugi dragged his feet along the sidewalk, not caring if his white shoes got dirty. It was really bittersweet going to his last day of eighth grade.

Making his way through the hallway, he couldn't help feeling down despite all of the happy faces around him. "It's going to be a long day", he thought.

He somehow managed through the day. His anticipation grew as he met up with his friends.

"Hey do you guys wanna go get our friday smoothie fix? I mean we're now done with the 'school' part of school. That's enough reason to celebrate don't you think"? Tristan asked while the group walked out the front doors.

"I'd love to, but I need to help my parents pack since we're moving out first thing tomorrow morning. I'll see you guys tonight at graduation." Anzu smiled at them before taking off.

"It's like she's excited to leave. I thought that usually when someone moved it was the opposite", Joey thought aloud.

"Well they are moving to California, which is a really neat place by the way", Tristan stated.

"What's in California"? Joey was naive

Tristan smirked before answering, "A better question would be, what isn't in California? The beach, the ocean, six flags, disneyland, and not to mention all the foxy mamas..." He smiled dreamily at the thought.

"Well genius, I'm not impressed." Yugi came between the two. "How about those smoothies, hmm?"

The three went and got their smoothie fix before parting their separate ways.

"See ya tonight at graduation!"

"Bye!" Yugi waved to his friends and left.

He looked down at the sidewalk while he walked home. "I just can't believe that it's tonight, he thought. He thought of what Joey said earlier. It's been a good year, really. Then it dawned on him, what if she doesn't feel the same way about me"?

He again became lost in thought. He was a couple of blocks away from the game-shop when Souzouji came running up from behind. "Hey Yugi! Don't you even think of asking Anzu to dance with you at graduation! Yugi was completely caught off guard. He got right in his face and held up the scrawny boy by his collar. You hear me?" His breath reeked of alcohol.

Yugi struggled to break free, but Souzouji's grip was just too strong. "I..." He began to gasp for air. There was no way anyone was going to save him now. Just when he though all hope was lost, a long, black car came around the corner.

*In the limo*

"Man what a day, a tall man with brown hair sighed, laying all the way back in the leather recliner. I thought I'd never get through that calculus test alive. He looked around with his piercing blue eyes.

"I'm just glad it's over, said a younger boy with long, raven hair to his waist. You've been driving me crazy just talking about it! There's no way I'm taking anything like that when I get in your grade bro."

"You're probably going to have to take calculus sometime, considering that a lot of professions now days require some knowledge."

The boy with raven hair and gray eyes sighed. His brother was right. Maybe he should reconsider his profession. No, he'd just deal with it when the time came. He zipped up his yellow vest and leaned against the window with his arms folded.

"What do we have here? I've never seen anything like it! A man in a black suit and sunglasses glanced out the passenger window. The brown haired man shot up, as did his brother.

Both brothers were surprised to see tri-colored hair but even more when they saw the scene in front of them. "We've got to stop this Mokoba!"

"Roland, stop the car! Mokoba shouted from the backseat. He got out of the limousine followed by his brother. "Put my cousin down, NOW", he threatened. Both rushed over to Yugi's rescue.

Souzouji remained chill in his place, obviously not taken back by the threat. "Well, well look who it is! It's the famous Seto Kaiba! He snickered, what brings you here"?

"I think you know very well what brings me here, genius. I do not have time for clowns like you. Seto was getting angrier by the second.

"And why would I listen to you"?

"Because if you don't, well...you really don't want to find out."

"I'd listen to him if I were you, warned Mokoba.

Souzouji just laughed. "As if!" Big mistake. Seto lost all his patience was let out all his rage. "I WARNED YOU!" The metal briefcase he was carrying collided with Souzouji's face, causing him to let go of Yugi. Mokoba reacted quickly and caught him just before he hit the cement. Meanwhile, the greasy haired bully was not out cold, laying on his face.

"I warned him", Seto said again.

"That was impressive, bro!"

"Whatever. Is Yugi okay? He got down on his knees next to his brother and looked the small boy over. Yugi was out cold. His collar was wrinkled but not torn and he had a few minor cuts on his neck. He put the back of his hand on Yugi's forehead and closed his eyes. He comes with us. Let's get him cleaned up and taken home."
