Disclaimer: Unless I state an OC exists in the chapter that is mentioned in the AN below, all characters belong to others.

Percy Jackson belongs to Rick Riordan.

Death Battle belongs to Screwattack (it is Rooster Teeth now).

Clips from movies, video games, etc. regarding character bios: "Yippie-kay-yay, motherfucker!"

Wizard (Wiz) talking: "Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3"

Boomstick (as himself) talking: "Bow-Chicka-Bow-Wow!"

Sorry for the late update. College work and midterms, the usual excuses.

3rd Person POV:

As Percy Jackson would find out in a second, all he needs to do is sit back and let the episodes play as it is already set to play each episode back to back. Once Percy works the buttons around, the episode starts up.

"This episode of Death Battle is brought to you by Gamefly. Go to deathbattle for your free trial membership."

Then, once the revision 3 title card appears, the intro for the show begins playing. In spite of himself, Percy finds the tune highly catchy.

"Street Fighter. Mortal Kombat. Kings of the fighting genre. And every good fighter needs awesome villains."

"You can say that again, Wiz." Percy mutters after pausing for a moment, visibly cringing at the site of heads being either eaten by reptilian humans (it's Reptile) or having their heads ripped out with their spines attached (by Sub-Zero); he's never really played video games ever but he has heard of Mortal Kombat and its unaltered blood-shed. The latter part seems like something Ares would enjoy doing, much like ripping out a person's skull and beating them to death with it. For some reason, Percy feels a strange sensation at the thought, but moves on.

"Like Akuma, the ultimate badass of martial arts!"

"And Shang Tsung, the sorcerous vanguard of doom."

For some reason, Shang Tsung looks much older in one of the clips than on the title card; Percy doesn't dwell on it, sure an explanation is on its way.

"He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!"

"And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to see who would win… a Death Battle!"

After epic action shots featuring the different franchises flick across the screen, the panels slide together and pull apart to reveal Akuma, a sleeveless man wearing a black gi with a red symbol on the back that seems to glow, along with the largest bead necklace Percy has ever seen. In addition, he has spiky red hair tied into a small ponytail with equally red eyes that seem to stare into Percy's very essence. The demigod shivers from the sight, getting goosebumps just looking at him.

"Akuma. Master of the Fist. Known as Gouki in Japan, he is a living weapon. Ten times stronger than nearly any other Street Fighter."

"Plus, he looks friggin' awesome! I totally want me some glowing red eyes."

"Akuma has dozens of powerful special attacks, including the Gou Hadouken. A powerful blast with precision control. He can even use the almighty Shinku-Hadouken, which is, basically, a giant fireball of death."

Gou Hadouken

Total Control

Can Fire Multiple at Once

Shinku-Hadouken

Can be Charged

Usable in Midair [Zanku Hadouken]

"Man, if I ever threw a Hadouken in real life, I'm gonna die happy."

"Agreed. I never cared much for martial arts before, but now, I might actually try to learn it sometime." Percy states, imaging himself using his water powers to make his own special moves like a Hadouken. He then shakes his head, realizing that those powers would cause more harm than good, and resumes the episode.

"Akuma also uses a Gou Shoryuken upper-cut, a teleport ability, a swift multi-striking hurricane kick, and the Hyakki Shuu, aka the Demon Flip."

Special Moves and Attacks:

Gou Shoryuken "Dragon Fist"

"Air Slashing" Hurricane Kick

Teleport

Hyakki Shuu "Demon Flip"

Percy can only stare speechless at the things this combatant can do. He might be among the most powerful mortals Percy has ever laid eyes on. And learning as well as understanding these characters' struggles and feats is half of what makes this show so addicting to Percy.

Super Arts

Shinkhu-Hadouken

Kongo Kokurestu Zan

Shun Goku Satsu "The Raging Demon"

Literally translates to "Instant Hell Murder" (This last one sends a shiver down Percy's back)

"Also, Akuma's got tons of super arts, but two really stand out. First, there's the… Konko…Kocuress…Za… how do you say that?"

"No idea."

Percy snickers, figuring that with Wiz's personality and tolerance of his co-host, he decided to screw with Boomstick a bit.

"Well, I'm pretty sure it's Japanese for 'Fuck you up!' Basically, Akuma punches the ground and things explode."

Since cursing will probably remain a thing on the show, Percy decides to not call it out any more. But he does wonder what the Japanese phrase for 'fuck you up' is.

"K.O!" The announcer of Street Fighter exclaims as Akuma punches his poor victim into submission.

"He shattered a whole freaking island just by punching it. Holy shit!"

Boomstick wasn't joking; the sight now is Akuma punching the ground with cracks that let strange light emit from the ground. This sight leaves Percy's jaw hanging open. "Not even the strongest child of Ares is capable of this." He mutters in amazement.

"That's not the deadliest weapon up his non-existent sleeves."

The scene then transitions to Akuma letting loose a series of punches that glow purple, then shows him standing over his potentially dead opponent with his back facing the screen and his symbol glowing all around him. "What… was that?" Percy asks cautiously, despite chuckling a few seconds ago from Wiz's joke.

"The Shun Goku Saki. Also known as the Raging Demon, literally means Instant Hell Murder."

"Man, I'm totally going to name my first kid that."

Despite the situation, Percy starts laughing loudly at that situation. He is imagining a young boy showing up at Camp Half-Blood one day, and the camp counselors asking, 'say, newcomer. What's your name?' 'Shun Goku Saki. You want to what it means? Edge closer to death.' With that out of the way, Percy rewinds a bit so as to not miss anything.

"The Raging Demon at full power is fatal. This guy is a frickin' onslaught of pain."

"That's right, Boomstick. Akuma lives for one thing and one thing only: fighting. He travels the world day and night searching for opponents. He is an unstoppable human holocaust, losing only once to his brother Gouken. But after a brutal rematch…"

The sight of Gouken's corpse on the floor of a house with Akuma's symbol painted in Gouken's blood churns Percy's stomach and makes him glower at the screen. The thought of siblings killing each other, no matter how much they fought, is truly disgusting to him.

"Oh, hey, look. He can finger-paint!"

Percy glares even harder. "Boomstick. Not. Cool." He then decides to let it go and relaxes a bit.

"It was rumored that Akuma sacrificed his soul to a demon in exchange for the strength to defeat Gouken. But this has been declared non-canon."

"I was getting worried for a second." Percy adds, knowing that making deals with deities with a questionable agenda is anything but a good idea.

"Akuma's got one major problem, though. His stamina is absolutely pathetic. He can dish out the pain, but he sure can't take it."

Percy just facepalms at that. Why oh why do these types of people, especially Clarisse La Rue, focus all their efforts into offense when an opponent could pull out a sneak attack and end the match then and there?

"It's crucial for Akuma to have total control of the fight. He's an extremely offensive approach. Always moving, always fighting."

"Yeah! Screw defense! Give me more ways to hurt people!"

Percy sighs yet again at the statement.

Akuma: I am Akuma! And I will teach you the meaning of pain!

He then stomps on the ground as he faces his opponent.

Percy pauses the episode once the panels slide together; his timing for stopping is certainly improving. Overall, he has rather mixed feelings of the street fighter. On the one hand, his strength is immense enough to make possibly even the titan Atlas envious, and his never-give-up mentality is something Percy can respect. But on the other hand, he doesn't put any effort into enduring attacks and there's the incident where he killed his own brother. He'll have to wait to see who his opponent is, but that alone makes Percy wish that he would die. The mere thought of cheering for one's death bothers Percy slightly, but he pushes play anyways so as to finish. The panels pull apart to reveal a much older version of Shang Tsung with white hair and wearing purple robes, which very much confuses Percy. Is the younger version an illusion from Mist or something similar or not? Well, he'll have to wait and see.

"Shang Tsung is the cunning sorcerer from Outworld and scheming pawn of Shao Kahn. He's extremely adept in magic and a well-rounded fighter."

Flaming Skulls

Can attack in rounds of One, Two, or Three

Fire Damage

Swift and Deadly

Unlimited Supply of human scalps (Again, Percy cringes at that part, reminded of the camper's beads on the Minotaur's axe)

"This guy can shoot flaming skulls, which is pretty awesome, but, where the heck does he keep them? I mean, seriously, how many skulls can a person carry around with them?"

Percy can't help but find the attack both cool and a little disturbing. As for the skulls… well, some things are best left unknown.

"Tsung can teleport around the battlefield with a special move called "Hot Escape."

Hot Escape

Teleport Ability

Extremely Fast

Wide Range

Burns Victims when Appearing Close Enough

Sucker Punch!

"Wha! Sucker punch, bitch!"

Percy bursts into a fit of laughter for a minute at that statement before moving on.

"He can morph into whomever he wants, giving him tons of different skill sets, like fighting a hundred different foes combined into one."

Morphing

Can Change into Anyone he Knows

Copies Abilities and Stats of Subject

Enable Hundreds of New Strategies

Percy clenches his fists slightly. Even now, months since he's learned of Frank Zhang's abilities, he is still jealous of the ability to turn into whoever he wants.

"Man, I wish I could morph into anybody I wanted. I'd have some fun with that."

…Scratch that. He's not that desperate to have those abilities.

"He also has a razor-sharp sword, though he usually keeps it hidden for a surprise attack."

Straight Sword

About Three Feet Long

Secretly Hidden

Of Unknown Make

Prefers Fists and Magic over Swordplay

"Shang Tsung possesses one other strange, yet useful ability. Long ago, when he was caught cheating in the Mortal Kombat tournament, he was cursed by the elder gods to rapidly age until an untimely death. The only way to prevent this would be to absorb the souls of his victims."

If record players were being played, the loud screeching sound of the needle being drug across the surface would have been heard then. Percy just sits there with wide eyes and a horrified look.

"He can literally eat your soul. Your soul! Not only can this heal him, but he gets the memories of the souls he's devoured."

Percy pauses the episode to take in what he just heard. He had faced many foes in his life; battled monsters, faced off against titans and even held his own against gods and giants. But this man was on a level of his own. In that moment, Percy became quite afraid of this sorcerer; I mean, how do you fight someone like this?

Soul Steal

Sustains Youth

Restores Energy and Health

Gains opponent's memories and Skills

Uses Skills for Morphs

"He can copy the moves of other fighters when he morphs."

"So really, his curse became his deadliest weapon. *Insert Sarcasm* Good punishment there, gods."

"Shang Tsung has lived and fought for over a thousand years. His sorcery, powers, and brutal fatalities are rivaled by few, and he's claimed the title of Grand Champion of Mortal Kombat several times. Almost bringing about the winning streak necessary to allow Shao Kahn to invade Earthrealm."

"Wait, what!" Percy exclaims in shock. This sorcerer nearly caused an interdimensional invasion of Earth?! "

"Keyword being almost."

"Yeah, unfortunately for Shang Tsung, he actually pretty much sucks at actually accomplishing his goals. He's super-powerful, but like most villains, he can never get around some goody-two-shoes getting in the way of global take-over."

Percy let out a breath of relief he didn't realize he was holding. To know that anyone would be willing to stand against the madness of megalomaniacal monsters like him makes Percy feel happy.

"His only notable victories have required treachery and deceit, but keep in mind that Tsung's not fighting ordinary meatheads. He's fighting demons, sorcerers, and gods. Even in defeat, somehow he keeps coming back, more lethal than ever."

Shang Tsung: You. Will. Die.

The panels slide together and pull apart to reveal other various clips of the combatants.

"Alright. The combatants are set. But before we end this debate, I need some cash to buy more rats for genetic testing."

"What?"

"What?" Percy asks simultaneously.

"From Gamefly."

"Doesn't matter." Percy mutters, then as the ad plays, he weighs in on the options. Akuma is relentlessly powerful with special moves that leave Percy awed. But he is obviously a berserker who exercises little strategy and his minimal defense does leave the battle somewhat poor for him.

Shang Tsung, however, is probably better in endurance, more experienced, and much more versatile in attacks. But then again, he gets those skills from absorbed skills. In that moment, Percy changes his mind; he wants Akuma to kick Shang Tsung's ass.

"Fifteen free games. What are you waiting for? Oh wait, a death battle!"

The scene then changes to a throne room of sorts looking out on a grey sky. The camera then shows Akuma walking (in a very strange fashion) to the center when a sudden explosion goes off to reveal Shang Tsung, arms out and ready to go. The health bars appear above the combatants.

Now it's time to see which evil-doer kicks ass.

"Fight!"

Shang Tsung starts by launching a fireball at Akuma who leaps over the attack and launches several Gou Hadoukens at Tsung, who blocks the attacks with his arms alone. While distracted, Akuma then kicks Tsung's legs out from under him and delivers a whirling kick at the sorcerer, followed by an uppercut.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Akuma then follows Tsung into the air and performs another spinning kick at his opponent, followed by a larger Gou Hadouken.

Tsung lies flat on the ground as Akuma walks towards his opponent. But as he's about to grab him and perform more brutality, Tsung transforms into Scorpion. Akuma backs off, confused by the transformation.

Tsung, as Scorpion, rolls backwards on his feet. "Come here!" He shouts in a deep voice and throws a long dart attached to a rope. It impales itself into Akuma's shoulder, and pulls him toward Tsung who promptly uppercuts him.

"Toasty!" Shouts some random dude before disappearing. Percy jumps slightly, not expecting that in the slightest. I mean, who the hell is that guy?

As Akuma's falling to the ground, Tsung summons from the ground a ball of fire. He then sends up two more fireballs that hit Akuma in the back, each one sending him closer to the maker. But Akuma takes advantage of this situation by grabbing him and throwing him away. Now glowing, he glides across the battlefield and performs a kick to Tsung's back. He dodges the attack then teleports away as Akuma tries another Gou Hadouken. Tsung then teleports behind him and slashes his sword upward, which cuts Akuma deeply.

Now that he's dazed, Tsung grunts as he lifts him up and his hand starts glowing a deep green. Time passes as Akuma's health is slowly drained while raising Tsung's health bar. But in the end, Akuma kicks him again to disrupt the process. He then raises his hand as Tsung pushes himself back onto his feet, and now glowing red, he punches the ground. While it somehow doesn't affect the palace at all, Tsung is sent flying once more. Once he lands, Akuma then starts laying the beat down on him before throwing him backwards. But once he lands, he transforms again…this time, into Akuma.

The two stare each other down as epic music plays in the background. Percy looks between the combatants, no longer able to tell the two apart. Then, they both leap towards each other and proceed to punch and kick each other in rapid succession before one of them is knocked to the ground. The survivor then lands on his feet graciously and lifts his hand up once more to gather the energy into his hand as the other pushes himself up to try the same maneuver. The Akuma on the left then performs the Instant Hell Murder attack on his opponent. Seconds later, sould fly out the of the corpse to reveal the killed opponent to be Shang Tsung.

"K.O.!"

"Yes!" Percy whoops loudly not caring if anyone heard him, not only estatic he guessed right, but that Shang Tsung got his ass kicked in the end. Now on to hear the explanation why as clips from the intense battle play out.

"Oh, man. That was way too close!"

"No kidding, Boomstick! Akuma's raw power and speed pressed a distinct advantage early on. But Tsung's own cleverness and wide array of skills quickly evened the odds."

"It looked like Akuma had the whole thing wrapped up, but Tsung's morphing skills saved his ass."

"Akuma's pride for battle nearly cost him his life, as he stopped to see if his new face was worth a challenge."

Percy just sighs. While he figured that Akuma's strength would be enough, that arrogance is what nearly killed him.

"After switching up strategies, Tsung managed to steal enough of Akuma's soul for some extra health and new abilities."

"But, it wasn't enough. In the end, Akuma's skills as a fighter proved unmatched."

"I mean, Tsung loses to Liu Kang all the time, and compared to Akuma, Liu Kang is the nicest guy in the world." Percy then laughs slightly at the smiley face pasted over Liu Kang's face. "There was no way he could take Akuma's constant punishment."

"As Shang Tsung isn't used to winnig anything on his own, he wasn't perfect on delivering the final blow. Leaving him wide open for the experienced Akuma to unleash his ultimate weapon."

"The Raging Demon of Instant-Hell-Murder-Awesomeness!"

"And so, Shang Tsung fell once again, releasing his devoured souls, again."

"Looks like Shang is all souled out! Ha ha, get it, Wiz?"

"The winner is Akuma."

As the final credits play, Percy takes his notepad and writes down the names of the combatants, and that he guessed correctly this time. But he only got lucky because he was prejudiced against Tsung. From now on, he needs to start getting better at analyzing the material given to come to a better solution.

"Next time on Death Battle!"

The screen then shows a very beautiful woman outing on her combat attire as she prepares for the fight. He recognizes her as Wonder Woman of Themyscira.

"Good night, suga!" Exclaims a second lady who seems to lay down some serious punches. Percy wonders who the second combatant is, but still sits back and lets the next episode roll.

AN: What I said up-top pretty much summarizes everything I have to say for this episode. Oh, and the Megaman Battle Royale, that's my new favorite episode ever. Of all times. Without a doubt. What do you guys think about it?

Also, now that Camp R is finished, after this, I will get to finish Remnant's Rebels next! Oh, and as I only have so many ideas for this website, I will be retiring after this. Just a quick reminder.
