Arwen is far away and after a long trek Aragorn's loneliness is getting the better of him for the first time..

With no one around Aragorn feels even more lonely after taking his turn washing up by the fresh stream. He dries up and leans against a tree, which sparks his interest.

Making sure no one is watching, he then looks to the tree and says, "your roots may be deep but you look so young, fair tree." Just before he embraces it, a movement from the very same tree suddenly interrupts him.

Out of the tree hops down the light-footed elf, Legolas, "I see it is safe, to hold such trees, as their bark shall never bite!" then walks away quietly laughing to himself.

Aragorn is flustered and then looks up at the branches wondering just how long that elf was sitting there. He realized Legolas wasn't waiting for him to follow and hurriedly runs, calling after him, "wait, I can explain..!" in attempt to catch up while furiously hoping Arwen never catches wind of his strange ways when she is not present.
