One-shot requested by Orithia Windbell, but it may end up as a two-shot or three.
Elsword~Rune Slayer
Aisha~Elemental Master
I don't know the age, but think as if it is the job's real ages. Btw I might make the prologue too big.
Prologue:
Elsword was a poor villager in Ruben. He had many hardships of working with Ann, mailing mails, training, and crafting swords. All of his work only made little money for the support of he and his sister Elesis; Elesis was a red knight that fought many battles supporting the Red Knights, as Elesis had to leave Elsword home alone on his duties, she wrote a note to him that she'll be gone for a few years before she returns and to see him as strong as a Red Knight from those years. Elsword knows that he'll be able to reunite with his sister again if he trains well enough to make her proud; one day, a stranger came to buy his home, but he refused as the stranger held up swords from also his companions. The village was attacked by him as Banthus the Thief of El; Elsword didn't know what to do but to end his life from the thief's companions but a purple-haired girl told him about living to become stronger for a person and made Elsword defeat him using his training methods of magic. He was then begun wielding a sword of hope that the girl gaved him that made him become a better knight. He went to the castle of Elder where he was irritated by the king's daughter Aisha in the garden, but as they get along with each other from other days, they soon develop feelings for each other. Aisha claims that she'll be married by a choice of the greatest knight of Ruben, but her father was not interested for his daughter to be with a commoner. Her father then realizes the boy from his past.
Elsword wakes up the morning of a changeable day. He gets ready for his jobs in his village clothes in an occasion; the King of Elder that will arrive in to choose a few of the best Red Knights to marry his daughter, Aisha. Elsword was an apprentice Red Knight, but he doesn't think the king would choose him anyway because he doesn't know he could wield magic also. Elsword goes to Ann's store and starts working until a stranger came along.
"Hey lady, give me your finest room available." The stranger said. Ann walks him to the biggest room available for him and his companions. Elsword was unaware that there was something of el was going on, so he carefully watches out for the stranger. When he was mailing letters for people, the stranger came to his home asking to buy his house for some reason, but he came quickly that his home was not for sale because it was where he was born in and been in that house for a long time. The stranger was angry and took out his swords that started slashing every wood in Ruben village making people scream and running away from him. "I AM BANTHUS AND I AM HERE TO TAKE YOUR EL!" The people scream as the Red Knights came to stop him, but Banthus swung his sword to them making them fall to the ground; Elsword didn't want to let the village become destroyed, yet he was helpless seeing a child was injured on the knee. The mother tried to help her child get out of the way, even more a pile of wood came toppling down the mother and child; Elsword suddenly sparks to the rescue of remembering his mother trying to save him from before, she pushed him out of the way being to accept her death. He tries to get that painful memory out of him unable to save them until a wind storm came to their rescue; the king has arrived in Ruben, but he was disgraced as Elsword didn't come to their rescue and let him die from Banthus' minions. The red boy knew he was disliked by not helping the parent and child but gave no emotion towards it, he didn't want to live for this kind of sake anymore by letting the minions kill him, but a kill was stopped by fireballs by a purple-haired girl. He looks at her with motionless eyes.
"What are you doing trying to accept death?" She picks him up from the collar of his villager shirt. She had an Elemental war dress ready for an intrusion for their arrival, for that she was irritated by how this guy doesn't take the courage to live on. "Do you even know what death is like?" The boy slowly shakes his head as the girl frowns with sadness; "Death is painful, it has a will to devour all your living intentions and take you to live the sorrowness that will never lets you out, but you need to find the light that shows you the way to the purest life that would give you the chance to be alive again." Elsword never wants to have that kind of chance anyway, and then she said something that sparks his spirit into awakening his soul. "If you really think that's the best for you, can't you even live for a chance to show someone your strength?" His soul and spirit became burst of flames as he rises from darkness and into greater courage to remember what his sister told him about becoming stronger for her. He finally spoke from the barely spoken boy.
"I-I will save this village and become stronger for my sister," he spoke from being a quiet boy into a greater knight. The girl smiles and lends her hand to assist him; he accepts as they both rush to the boss thief, before that she finds him attractive from his new clothes when he rose out of the darkness.
"You cannot defeat me with your pitiful boyfriend!" Banthus laughs as the girl gets ticked off throwing a fireball at him. He dodges the flaming ball; Elsword then kicks Banthus in the face leaving him bloody-nosed. "Gah, you insolent boy!" He swings his sword to him but Elsword dodges and headlocks him from behind. "Arghh!"
"Leave this village alone, I'll kill you with my bare hands if you don't leave here." Elsword told Banthus in a cold, quiet voice. Banthus quietly swung his sword behind the boy and him causing both of them to be stabbed by the thief's sword. The red, flaming-haired boy tries to ignore the sword's pain but failed; he recalls the training of swords as he swung each sword that had never suited him from things that never involved magic. Magic…..I-I can use magic! He thought loudly as he tries to heal himself from the stomach injury, for that it worked. The violet-haired girl was awestruck in that boy using magic; only her royal family can use magic and the Red Knights, but she wondered if one of the red knights similar to him could've showed him tricks of magic. Her father came to see what was happening after he defeated Banthus' minions.
"Why, it's that boy who didn't risk his life for the mother and child. He should've been dead by now." Aisha's father, the king, didn't seem to like Elsword at first glance.
"Father, why are you judging the way this boy seems to be?" The violet-haired girl takes a pitiful look at her father. "He could be related to the Ruby-haired knight that fought her best for our kingdom." She convinces her father otherwise.
"Impossible, how can that boy be related to the red-haired maiden knight?"
"I saw him use magic."
"What, that boy used magic; is it similar to the magic that the maiden uses?"
"Yes father."
The king was awestruck in the red-haired boy using magic as the Red Knight that fought for his country. Therefore, he showed no discipline in that boy anyway, but he would make a nice Red Knight for him. As Elsword healed himself through the pain, Banthus was suffering from his own sword stabbed through his stomach and retreated with his minions. Elsword's magical form returned into his old villager clothes where he passed out from the most vulnerable moment; the purple-haired girl came to his side healing him while her father commanded that the thief won't come back anymore.
When Elsword awoke, he found himself in his home in bed. He went to his kitchen and saw the purple-haired girl preparing food for her and him; he thought why she had saved him from the attack and why he used magic from himself. He went to the dinner table prepared with lots of delicious food so elegantly made by her.
"Oh, you're finally awake," she said. Elsword nods.
"W-Why did you save me back there; I could've ended my life by them anyway." Elsword tries to talk fluently from many months he had not talked for such a long time.
"You think it's just possible for you to just end your life without knowing many different things happening to the world that involves heroes to save it, and that includes you." She told him in a serious tone that could make him flinch over.
"But why me?" He asked.
"Because you have a spirit full of will and courage to protect the world in our hands."
"How is that me?" He looked at her with stressed eyes that could easily be told by her.
"I believe you have the strength to takes what it got to make it to the next generation of heroes." Elsword never could believe that sentence would actually be what he'll have to take anyway. "Come eat, they're getting cold." He takes a bite of the girl's food and it actually tasted so perfect for him to resist, then he ate a whole plate of delicious mashed potatoes. She smiled at him beautifully. He wondered where he had seen that smile before in his past, but he doesn't want to remember his horrible past right now.
"Thanks for the food, it was delicious." He bows at her and leaves for the door.
"No problemo, yet you are a good nominee for being our red knight." Elsword stops and turns around with shock. He is just an apprentice knight, but being invited to the king's kingdom to be a full-fledged knight is highly a hard job. "I didn't get your name, but I should introduce myself." She elegantly bows like a royal princess would. "I am Aisha, the princess of Elder, also a high class mastered mage of the elements, it is a privilege to meet you." The boy just stares at her with a boring look on his face.
"Nice to meet you, you tsundere girl." He smirks as she erupts tsunderely.
"T-Tsundere?! I AM NOT TSUNDERE, I AM A GIRL WHO WOULD USUALLY LIKE YOU IN A CERTAIN WAY THAT I WOULD SPEAK DIFFERENTLY IN A WAY YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND TO MAKE ME TO BE FLUSTERED BY YOU!" At the end of her sentence she blushes red as Elsword's hair and turns away from him for going out-of-her-princess-character. He laughs at the purple princess.
"S-Sorry, I NEVER KNEW YOU WERE STILL LIKE THIS!" He laughs hard until he came into a full stop knowing what he just said. Aisha stands there motionless.
"N-Never still like that? What are you saying?" Elsword almost started to speak until he gets punched hard in his house by her. "You are one-of-a-kind boy who insults me like that." She smirks as she breathed out cooling back to her princess character again. Elsword gets up consciously.
"I'm sorry your highness," he had a sad look in his face that he didn't want to get in trouble with the king's daughter. He didn't notice until he saw her face close to his.
"Don't worry; I won't get you in trouble." She smiles and flicks his forehead causing him to jerk out from the ground and into stand position. She giggles and goes out the door calling him to meet her father. He raggedly followed her to the king in a welcomed party in Ruben. The king greets him.
"Hello son, I am King Rokang of Elder Kingdom, and who you might be for the one who defeated Banthus the thief?"
"I am Elsword of Ruben village, your highness." He bows perfectly like royalty. The king was impressed by his royal etiquette. He then told of his related sibling.
"Do you know by a chance to know about the Red-haired maiden knight of Ruben?" Elsword looks at the king in shock and then with a sad expression that made the king understand his situation.
"Y-Yes, she is my sister Elesis. I haven't seen her in 2 years." The king nods as he knew why Elesis didn't come back for her little brother.
"She has gone to seek her own strength from beyond, so she won't be back until the right time of day that would be crucial to come back." Elsword nods in sadness in where he'll never see his sister again. Aisha notices and bounds to cheer him up.
"Hey, do you do swordsmanship?" She asks Elsword. Elsword nods; she told him if he could show her his sword skills in order to be protective of the world and so he did. The king notices that his daughter seems to trust him and so he should trust him also to the test. Therefore he should remain to take sight of his daughter and so he asked a guard to take care of those two. Elsword trains many sword skills with different types of swords and Aisha was unimpressed by his raw skills. She tells him that she was supposed to use swords for their future generation but only boys have to use them so she has to either learn how to use a bow or use magic. If she could've learned how to use a sword, she would've beat him better in skills. He walks over to her and grabs her hand to give her the sword.
"W-What are you doing, I shouldn't do this!" She tries to let go of the sword but he was too strong. She looked at him at a perfect angle that made her seem to fall for him but she quickly shook that thought away; he told her to grip a sword in the right pace and swing just a bit to her comfortable state of mind. He then lets the sword go to her skill of swordsmanship; she swung the sword in perfect rapid skills that reminded him of his sister's skills of the sword. He never knew Aisha had skills like Elesis anyway. As Aisha finished her sword swinging, she saw him looking at her. She then carries the sword to him. "It's a fine sword for you."
"No, I prefer much of a magic sword." He truthfully inquires it.
"Then you might prefer this sword," she grabs a covered sword and carries it towards him. She uncovers the sword and it shines with the hope that it found its true owner. Elsword takes it and the sword glows revealing his magic form before returning back into his original clothes. He felt great power towards it and he tells her that he couldn't take it from her kingdom. "It is yours now, my father said to give it to the rightful owner of that sword so he could save this world from devastation." He wields the sword like his own and it made the perfect high sword skills that impressed Aisha with awe. She knew it was the sword for him in that he was the right hero for defending her kingdom.
When the king's guard came to get his princess going back to the castle, Elsword went along to say good-bye. The king was going back to his kingdom until he saw the sword of hope in the hands of the red-haired boy. He was furious in that his daughter gave it to him, so he asked the boy to give it back to him.
"But your majesty, your daughter gave it to", the king interrupts his word.
"She didn't know about giving the precious sword to you, so please give it back to us." Elsword bites his lip as he gives back the sword. The sword rejected the touch of the king as the king knew that the sword had found its rightful owner to the boy but why should the sword chose the boy? Maybe the sword knew he could be the one to save the world. King Rokang was struggled by that situation and he tells Elsword to keep it well safe and to use it from a crucial moment. The boy smiled to keep his word of keeping it safe, and Aisha smiles at her father with delight of having Elsword to keep it. As they waved good-bye, one of Elsword's friends came to his side.
"Wow, I've never knew you were chosen by this powerful sword." He said. Then Elsword felt an ominous feeling from behind and saw that it was the bully that bullied him for many years, but he didn't care for what he had to say at least now.
"So, you got that sword did you?" He was angered by seeing him wield the great sword that should rightfully be his. "Give it to me, it should be mine." Everything this bully asks that should be his is his. The red-haired boy refuses to give it to him and the bully's friends awed in a challenge. "Then I'll have to use force then. Prepare to be killed." He dashes to Elsword until the crimson boy held the sword in the bully's face causing the bully to pose motionless until falling back terrified of him. "Y-You can keep that sword, but k-keep it away from me YOU MAGIC KNIGHT!" The bully then runs away along with his pals. Elsword's friend was in awe that the bully called him a magic knight but it couldn't be true to him. Elsword said it was the truth.
"I am a magic knight, I can use magic and I am a knight that isn't full-fledged yet." He covers the sword in a comfortable blanket and his friend said to take care of the sword and his duties so he could train well enough for his job. In the night, Elsword woke up in the middle of the night finding the sword glowing near him. He uncovers the sword and it had rune symbols that Elsword never had learned but he understood the runes somehow. "The Time Is Near," the rune symbols he had said and it glowed to his shoulder arm and placed a rune that said the number '3' in the arm and another one in his other arm showing a dragon in a circle on it, he then wondered why the sword gave him this, and a voice spoke in his mind as if the sword was speaking to him. It said, "You are now a Rune Slayer-in-training."
Elsword was in shock in that he had begun to become a Rune Slayer. They were extinct from the history of magicians, but he had a feeling that there could still be one that is still a Rune Slayer, and so he packs up to travel to the king's kingdom and to sneak in on Aisha that could tell him about his beginning of the start of his journey.
Me: ALRIGHT I HOPE THERE IS MORE TO COME and of course there is more to come.
Elsword: Woot! A new start for me!
Aisha: I'm sure you won't freak me out!
Elsword: Hehe maybe I will ;D
Aisha: JERK!*whacks Elsword*
