Here is the next chapter! Touya is so lost!
Touko and Touya walked into their home before the young boy yelled,
"Mom! Dad! We're home!" They ran to the living room to see their parents relaxing on the couch comfortably. Touko and Touya's mother had light brown hair like her son and blue eyes similar to her daughter's. Their father had darker skin and brown eyes like his son's and darker brown hair like his daughter's.
"Hey guys. How was your first day of school?" their father asked.
"It was AWESOME!" Touko yelled. Her mother sighed, thinking that after a day at school they'd be tired so she could rest, but from her daughter's enthusiastic answer that wasn't the case.
"Well good. You two go ahead and take your showers and get ready for dinner." The young father told his children. They nodded and after they both took showers and put on pajamas, they arrived to the dining room where their parents were waiting. The table had kiddie dishes with chicken nuggets and broccoli while the parents had larger dishes with salad and chicken breasts. Touko and Touya both sat down in their seats and the family proceeded to dig in. The young mother looked up to her children.
"What did you two do at school today?" Touya swallowed his food before talking.
"Well, first I colored with Cheren and Bianca, then we had naptime, then we had lunch, and after that we had recess, and then we had P.E. Then we came home!"
"That sounds like fun. Who are Cheren and Bianca?" the mother asked.
"They're kids in my class. Cheren is really really smart and Bianca is a lot of fun!" the five year old boy replied happily before taking a large bite of his chicken nuggets. The parents smiled.
"Did you meet anyone interesting, Touko?" the father asked his daughter. Touko hid her faint blush before playing it cool.
"Yeah, I did. Two boys named Red and Blue." She said calmly before taking a bite from her least favorite food, broccoli. Her father noticed the uncharacteristic act.
"Boys?" he inquired. His wife rolled her eyes.
'Oh God, already he's gonna be that overprotective dad.' She thought. Her son looked at him strange, wondering why he was acting weird.
"Yes, they are boys, Daddy." Touko confirmed before taking a sip of water, suppressing the urge to shrink into her chair.
"Yeah! And with Red she got a play- Eeep!" Touya began before his sister stomped his foot underneath the table. Their mother raised an eyebrow before their father pressed further.
"A play what?" he asked folding his hands and leaning forward. He raised his eyebrows playfully but his eyes were suspicious.
"A play date." Touko responded, trying to be firm but wanted to shrink away, feeling somewhat embarrassed. She knew how her father felt about boys. For crying out loud, he told her she shouldn't kiss a boy outside the family because he would have cooties. She asked her mom about that later, and she explained that boys don't have cooties and that Daddy lied.
"Ah…" he said, mulling the concept of his daughter with a boy over. He hated it. "Did this, 'Red' ask you for the play date?"
"No… I asked him. He just said yes." Touko said matter of factly.
"Oh! I see!" her father said in sarcastic delight. His wife put her fork down.
"OK! That's enough out of you sweetie. It appears that you two are done with dinner." She said before grabbing her children's plates and heading into the kitchen. Touya frowned, in the dark of what was going on. She didn't even pester him to eat his broccoli. First kids named after colors, a green haired boy named N, now this. What was going on?!
"You two head to bed. Mommy and I are gonna talk." His father said before following his wife.
"But it's 6:30-" Touya protested.
"Bedtime!" his father yelled from the kitchen. The two twins sighed, one from relief, one from disappointment.
"I just don't understand…" Touya muttered before his sister patted his back as they headed to their rooms.
