They all stood in shock and wonderment at the sight before them. Even though Stella had seen it before, it never lost its shine. Stella felt that it embodied magic, and it was filled with people, who wore cloaks and witches hats!
First they found their way to Gringotts, and Stella was a bit nervous when they reached the imposing, snow-white multi-storied marble building. The time she robbed the very same bank suddenly didn't feel so long ago. At the entrance stood two goblins, on either side, wearing an imposing uniform of scarlet and gold and wielding spears. On the doors, was a very hostile message, that read;
Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn.
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.
She was the first to walk up, and surprisingly, the goblins bowed to her. Stella, confused by the situation, as they had never shown her such respect before, bowed right back.
"Hello-oo," She awkwardly waved at them as she entered the bank.
"Stop!" Yelled on of the goblin guards, "Seize him!
I slowly turned around, to see them pointing their spears at my dad.
"What! Why!" I yelled, "He hasn't done anything wrong!"
"Don't think we are completely oblivious of the muggle world, clearly this is Antonio Romano! He has robbed many very high security banks, not unlike our own!"
"There never was actual proof of that..." My father added unhelpfully, with a smirk on his face.
"It was still obviously you, but we can just have escorts follow you around, to make sure." We began walking to a vast hallway, which had marble counters across its length, and doors that lead to the vaults.
So we exchanged our 3,000 pounds into 602 galleons, 6 sickles and 27 knuts, and my father opened up an account for me, with spears pointed him the entire time. It was a relief to finally exit the massive bank of Gringotts.
"So where should we go to first?" Antonio asked Stella.
"I would love to get my wand! It's by far the most important item on the list!" I was buzzing with energy, so much so that if anyone were to touch her they would be electrocuted.
They found a dusty old shop, which in peeling gold letters said, Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C.
When they entered the store, they saw thousands of wands in narrow boxes, piled right up to the ceiling in the tiny shop, and a spindy chair in the corner, as well as a small desk, which had a vase of dead wilted flowers on it.
"Where is he?" My mother asked, looking around the shop.
Suddenly, Ollivander popped out from behind a shelf, "Right here! Now," He rubbed his hands together, looking excited, "I don't recognise you two," He gestured to her parents, "So you, must be a muggleborn!" He looked down at Stella, and she responded with an overly excited nod.
"Whats a muggleborn?" Questioned her father curiously.
"Its a witch or wizard born into a non magical family," Stella quickly explained.
"So, first up is a Cedar Wood wand, Dragon Heartstring core, and as my father used to always say, Cedar wood is usually for a person with great loyalty, you seem like the sort."
I tried the wand, and his robes were set on fire, he quickly casted aguamenti, and the fire was put out immediately.
"Sorry!" I apologised, my face was bright red.
"No worries, no worries."
He tried wand after wand and I had already had eight wands that shattered as soon as they were put in my hand, and fifteen which caused damages to the shop.
Finally, he pulled out a wand from the very back. It had a dustier case than all the others, and Ollivander looked like a child on a sugar rush.
He opened the box, and in it, sat the most beautiful wand I had ever seen. The wood was black, with an emerald on the end of the hilt, and the handle looked like snake skin. the point looked like it was two snakes intertwined together, and it was chiseled to perfection.
"Try it,"
He handed it to me, and immediately a giant basilisk that looked like a patronus, emerged from the wand, and sailed out the tiny shop. The flowers on Ollivanders desk bloomed, and a feeling of complete and utter joy and completion swept through her. I wondered how I could have gone without this wand, all my life.
"The wand core has not one, but two cores, which is unlike any wand I've ever seen. It is made out of Elder wood, the rarest type of wood you can find, and very difficult to make. The first core, is the horn of a basilisk! The only wand except from Salazar Slytherin himself to have that core. And the second, is a phoenix feather!"
He had a wide smile on his face, "I never thought I would live to see the day, Stella Romanov! You shall do great things, you just need to show the goblins your wand, and they will lead you to Merlin's vault. Goodbye!"
He ushered them out of the shop, and Stella and her parents stood in awe at her wand. Even when they had nearly no knowledge on the magical world, they knew this was important.
Passerby's looked at the shop in astonishment, gaping at it. 'What the hell was going on?' or 'Why was a massive magical creature coming out of the wand shop,' and other variations of that they wondered, while muggles who's children were attending Hogwarts, just assumed this stuff happened everyday, and didn't give it a second glance, as nothing much could shock them from this world of magic anymore.
"Before we go to Gringotts again, we should get your school stuff," Her dad said sternly, knowing Stella would fight him on this.
"But I just got Merlin's own wand! We can't just wait!" She begged her parents.
"I don't know much about this place, but we just got out of Gringotts, and I don't want to see those creepy creatures again. I've already seen them once, and that's one too many times." He still was a bit wary of the place, and didn't want to see those things again.
"Maybe we could split up, I could get my books needed for school, and some additional ones, and you could get the other items on my list, and we could meet up at the Madam Malkin's Robes for all Occasions that we passed by?"
"Fine." Her father agreed.
As she was walking to Flourish and Blotts, she was admiring the sights, and how similar the alley looked. She wasn't paying attention to where she was walking and ended up bumping into someone.
She was about to apologise for bumping into them when she heard the woman say, "Filthy little mudbloods, don't they know how to treat their betters!I am Lady of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black! How dare that mudblood block my path."
She was a tall woman, and very thin, her hair was in a tight bun, and she wore pristine robes. She had two children behind her. The shorter one, had his hair gelled back, the same way she remembered Draco did, looked every bit the aristocrat his mother was. He wore black robes. The taller one, had shaggy black hair, stormy gray eyes, and looked very handsome. He was wearing dark green robes. He was looking at his shoes, with a blush staining his cheeks, at the behaviour his mother was showing. She knew this to be the young Sirius Black, and she had to stop herself from pinching his cheeks and cooing at him. He was so ADORABLE!
She tore her eyes away from them, and smiled at who she guessed was Walburga Black, but it seemed more like she was baring her teeth.
"I apologise Miss, for bumping into you." her words dropped from her mouth with fake sincerity, "May I ask something of you? Are your two boys twins?"
"No, of course not, where on earth did you think that!"
Its not that unbelievable, I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.
"Well, I was just wondering how on earth a man could sleep with you, twice!" I smirked. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Sirius looking at me in admiration, inwardly I chuckled, he must be enjoying the show.
"How dare you! I'll have you know I have a husband!" Walburga replied, looking ready to gut Stella.
"Oh really? Well I have half the mind to report you to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, beastiality is in fact illegal, you can't just go around marrying horses!"
"You little..." Walburga got her wand out, smoke coming out of her ears, silently fuming, and looking like a bull about to charge.
That's when people around them finally intervened, stepping in front of the Lady of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black.
Sirius ran up to her and wrapped her in a tight hug, "You. Are. My. HERO! That was brilliant! No one has ever spoken to my mother in that way!"
"Why, thank you," I replied smoothly, secretly having a celebration over the fact my godfather thought that.
He stepped back, still grinning and saluted me. "I must leave with my mother, but I hope to see you on the train? I'm a first year."
"Me too, and that sounds great!"
We grinned at each other.
"See ya." He called, running back to the horrible excuse of a human, that was Walburga Black.
Hello! I didn't really feel like this chapter came out very well, and it has a bit too much dialog, and not enough descriptions. I hope you still liked it. Please suggest what you want the pairing to be.
