TNM-Writer, the characters from HP will be showing up, but not for a long time now. But you can be sure that when they show up, things are going to hit the fan when they make their desire for Haruhi/Harry to become more integrated into the British Wizarding World specifically apparent. As for why they haven't found Haruhi/Harry yet? Well, that will be answered later on in the story. Angel-Hime-Chan, no the title of Cloud Guardian is Hibari's alone, with Mukuro and Chrome it is a special case as he basically uses Chrome as an avatar for himself while he's locked up in the Vindice.

Summary: Sōma Haruhi, the secretary of Namimori Middle's Disciplinary Committee as well as the best and only friend of Hibari Kyōya knew that after that encounter with that baby, everything would change. He just didn't expect to be drawn into the chaos of the Vongola family, much less becoming a Guardian for the Tsunayoshi Sawada or Dame-Tsuna, whom was to be the next boss of said mafia family.

Snowfall

Interlude: Sōma Haruhi, the Dutiful Son

~0o0~

The servants bustling around them kept the situation from becoming too awkward.

Resting his hands in his lap, Haruhi looked over at the elder couple sitting across from him and his adoptive father. Next to him, his father shifted around in his seat and every once in a while sighing grumpily. Across from them, Haruhi noticed the slightest twitch of his father's parents' faces as they sent the older male disapproving looks. It was only the soft voice coming from his side that drew his attention away from the darkening looks that his adoptive grandparents were sending his father.

"Haruhi-sama, would you like some tea?"

Glancing over to his side, he saw a young woman kneeling by him holding a tea pot. She was very pretty in that traditional Japanese way. Her hair was long, straight, and fell down her back to her waist. Some of her hair was pulled up into bun and held by a kanzashi, and like the other maids in the Sōma main house. Overall, someone who he would've suspected his grandparents would set him up with.

Nodding slightly, he smiled.

"Yes, Oolongcha please…"

The girl smiled charmingly at him, "Chiharu, Haruhi-sama."

At the corner of his eye, Haruhi noticed the look passed between his grandparents at this interaction and frowned slightly. Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, he watched as she gracefully served him tea. As she was pouring the brown tea into his cup, he couldn't help his eyes being drawn to her pale wrists, which he would admit were attractive. Once again, his mind went to the conversation he had with his father when he contacted him at Kyōya's that morning.

"Sofu and Sobo have been looking for a bride for me?"

Sōma Mikoto sighed, "Yeah, I was just informed this morning that they would like for us to come to the main house…they feel that it is time that you've started to do your duty in order to repay the family for taking care of you."

Glancing over at the still sleeping boy in the futon a little bit away from him, Haruhi brought a hand up to massage the bridge of his nose. "Fine, I will take the day off from school and come home…it's better that we get this out of the way."

Now here he was, meeting with his adoptive grandparents for the first time in a year since the last family gathering.

"Here you go Haruhi-sama."

Lifting his head slightly, he blinked slowly as he took in the cup being held out to him. Nodding, he closed his eyes and smiled towards her politely.

"Un, thank you Chiharu-san."

Giggling, the girl moved back towards the tatami doors with her head bowed.

"It's my pleasure Haruhi-sama."

Scooting back out of the door, she then closed the doors softly leaving the four at the table in an uncomfortable silence. Noticing that neither his father nor his grandparents were going to break the ice, the Disciplinary Committee secretary mentally sighs as he readjusts his glasses on the bridge of his nose before letting his usual charms take over.

"It had been awhile Sofu…Sobo, I glad to see that you're both doing well."

His adoptive grandparents nodded, as a glint of obvious approval of his manners flashed through their eyes. The old head of the Sōma Clan sipped his tea before resting his stern gaze upon Haruhi. Placing his cup down, he glanced briefly at his stoic wife before turning his gaze back to the neutral green eyes.

"Recently it has been brought to our attention by a clan advisor that we haven't selected a proper wife for you, and through careful consideration and effort we were able to find someone we believe would make a perfect match for you."

Across the table, Haruhi only stared blankly at his grandparents though a smile was still on his face. He could feel the concerned gaze of his father on the side of his face, but he didn't dare look away from the two across from them. It had always been a possibility that they would do something like this, but it had always seemed like it wouldn't ever happen too soon. After all, not everyone had been happy by his adoptive father's decision to take him in despite his bloodline, nor did they want to give a Gaijin one of their daughters.

For his grandparents to have found someone willing enough to take him, he knew that things were going to become more difficult from now on.

'…Especially if they decide on someone troublesome like Chiho-san as my future wife…'

Sōma Chiho, one of the girls from the main branch of the Sōma family, had been one of the loudest protestor about his presence among the children during gatherings, and she had made it pretty clear that she would rather commit suicide then lay with a Gaijin.

'Not that I would ever touch that little bitch with a 40-inch pole, not even to fulfill their wishes…I would kill her first.'

Yes, Chiho would not be an option and hopefully they had managed to find someone else. Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, his smile sharpened. "Well I cannot wait to meet her…whose hand shall I be taking?"

Grunting, the oldest Sōma male in the room took another sip of his tea while his wife leaned forward slightly with an answer. "It had at first been our intention to have you married to Chiho-chan, but after much debate with your father (at this Harry glanced over at his father, whom shrugged his shoulders)…we had come to see that it wouldn't beneficial for everyone involved."

Nodding in agreement, he made a mental note to make his father's favorite dish for dinner when they went back to their home. But he still kept his eyes on his grandmother, who contrary to popular belief was the true head of the family.

"Who exactly is my future bride?"

His grandmother smirked as she brought her own teacup up to her lips.

"You've already met her."

Gesturing towards the door, she continued, "Come out now Chiharu-chan."

Restraining himself from physically reacting in shock, as he watched as the door slid open.

Turning his gaze to the young woman who had fixed him tea, he could say that he wasn't too opposed to the arrangement. She seemed to be nice enough, and didn't seem to have a problem about his obvious lack of Japanese heritage.

'Though I really can't conclude much from our short meeting…plus I'll have to inform my bride to be of how things will truly be between us.'

While he would do what is required of him by his adoptive family, there was no way that he was going to stop his relationship with his best friend. Hibari meant too much for him to ever abandon their friendship, which recently was slowly becoming more than that. The green-eyed boy knew that if he was going to marry this girl, then she would have to accept the fact that he wasn't going to give up Hibari.

No, Haruhi knew he was too selfish to ever sacrifice his own happiness for someone else other than Hibari.

There was no question, that he would undoubtedly find some kind of love for the woman who would bare his children. He might even come to love the woman past a platonic level; unfortunately they would not be the one holding his heart in their grasp.

That privilege would always belong to Kyōya.
