Ashlynn awoke the next morning with sunlight shining in her eyes. She had forgotten to close the curtains the night before, but she had special glass where you couldn't see in, and only sunlight could come in.
She was wrapped up in a throw blanket with Cliffy on one side of her, Duke on the other side, Ellie passed out beside Cliffy, Kenny passed out beside Duke, Donna passed out by Duke and Donna passed out beside her husband on the large sectional sofa.
Ashlynn hadn't felt this family oriented since she was taken at seventeen, and after her husband beat her and took away her boys and she had gone back to her father who offered her her old room back in her childhood home, a job in his real estate firm, and protection she felt alone.
Veronica had her own life and was madly in love with the leader of one of her father's crew's that did his street work, and her mom died of cancer leaving her dad a grieving mess.
Now she was back on her feet, had friends, had her own house, had gotton her sons back, and had met people. This new family who she had never heard about until the day before. Saving a seven month infant from a kidnapping.
Ashlynn had a feeling that those people would be in her life for the long haul. She had met Opie the day before when she rescued the little infant. From what she had heard he was the father's best friend since they were kids.
She got up off the couch and walked into the kitchen and pulled out eggs, bacon, pancake mix, and Grands Biscuits, and began cooking breakfast for everyone. It was Sunday so she didn't have to work. She could if she wanted since Real Estate was a seven day a week job. Though she only did Mondy thru Friday so she could spend the weekend with her boys.
Before she got them back, she only had them back four days, she would work seven days a week. Work was her escape, and working for her father's real estate company gave her as many hours as she wanted or needed.
She never even bothered with relationships because ever since she was taken from her Oakland home at seventeen she had only known hurt from a relationship. She didn't want any man that wasn't related to her to touch her because she only knew hurt from that hand.
Laroy, her dad, and August Marks were the only ones that she allowed to touch her. Though the day before when Jax embraced her she knew and understood that he met no harm. He was just thanking her that she rescued his son, and as a parent she understood whole heartedly.
"Smells good Ash. What are you making?" Donna asked walking in.
"A little bit of everything. I don't usually cook like this except on the weekends. During the week its something quick so you can get out the door." said Ashlynn.
"I so know the feeling. Getting Kenny and Ellie up, then making sure Harry has something to eat and he's up and ready to go to the shop and finally myself. I'm now a school teacher so I have to leave early myself and I just grab whatever biscuit can be put in the microwave long with my coffee and head out. It's so much better now that I have that job and we are no longer in debt." said Donna.
"I drive my boys to Charming Elementary, then I race to get to Oakland and if I make it there without cussing someone under my breath, hitting the horn or fighting the urge to flip off a fellow driver than it's a good morning. Veronica, my sister, drives over here to pick up the boys and then watches them for me. Her boyfriend takes care of her and she doesn't have to work. She likes being taken care of. Me on the other hand I'm independent and I want to be able to support myself." said Ashlynn.
"Morning guys. Kids are still sacked out." said Opie helping himself to a cup of coffee before he wrapped an arm around both women.
Ashlynn knew that Opie was safe, harmless, and married so she didn't freak out like she normally would. It was just like Jax. He was a friendly person.
"So my car crapped out again. What now?" Donna asked.
"I'll get it fixed, you and the kids can take my truck." said Opie.
"Well how will we get home today?" Donna asked.
"I'll drive you guys home. I've got a big enough car for the two of us, my kids and your kids. I'm glad I got a three row seater car!" said Ashlynn.
"Thank you so much for saving Jax's son and then letting us crash here. You are the sweetest woman that I have ever met and even know I just met you I consider you a little sister." said Opie.
"Well I did what I thought was right. My ex husband took my kids from me after nearly beating me to death. When I was out boating and having fun with Ally, my sis Ronnie, her boyfriend Laroy and my boys, well something just stopped. I heard the shout. He took my son, and then I saw the boat and sprang into action. I was drinking, I had at least six Coronas, but I lied to my cop friend Ally because as fun as she is she can be a little bit by the book. I knew I was fine and I proved it. I acted because I didn't want to see another parent go through what I went through with their asshole father." Ashlynn confessed.
Opie hugged her yet again and she felt okay with it because his wife was right there and she didnt' seem pissed or anything. "You have no idea the favor you did for us. We are in your debt." he said.
A bit later all four kids were up and were wondering what was planned for the day. "Okay boys get ready for church. Afterwards..." Ashlynne was cut off.
"Family barbeque at the clubhouse. You and your boys should come." said Opie.
"Yea come on come!" said Donna.
"Alright we'll come, but if anything goes over PG13 we are gone!" said Ashlynn with a laugh.
Later on they all went their seperate ways. Ashlynn and the boys to church and Donna and Opie home. Donna took Opie by the hand and sat him down.
"You are not going to cheat on me with her? Are you? You just seem to have some bond with her." said Donna.
"No it's not that case. I just feel the need to protect her like an older brother. Juice dug up her biologial parents. She was adopted. Kozik is her father and Tig's wife Colleen, mother of Dawn and Fawn Trager is Ashlynn's mom. I promise no romantic feelings for anyone other than you." said Opie.
A/N: Hope you enjoy!
