~Present Day Greece~
"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid" Heracles muttered angrily to himself as he weaved himself in and out between the crowds.
I should have never let him go, why did I have to be so afraid of loving him?
The thought of a life without Kiku struck a chord with Heracles. Ever since his recent debt crisis, he felt as if there was a possibility of another economic turmoil occurring. He could not bear the idea of Kiku worrying about him as he struggled through another crisis. Having to worry about himself was enough but having Kiku involved was out of the question.
He stopped in front of the café to catch his breath. Dammit where did he go?
Suddenly a kitten approached Greece as he leaned against the glass of the café. Its large eyes observed Heracles as she sauntered closer to where he stood. Rubbing her soft salt and pepper coat against Greece, she purred. She recognized him from earlier except that he was with a shorter black haired boy. Thinking to herself, she thought of the black haired boy she saw just moments ago. Perhaps he was looking for him? Meow.
Heracles glanced down to his feet and smiled. Unconsciously, he bent down on one knee and picked up the small kitten. If only you could help me right now, he thought. As if the kitten was able to read his thoughts, the kitten scratched her way out of Greece's clasp and scurried away.
Noticing he was not following, the kitty returned and meowed loudly.
"Do you want me to follow you?" Wondered Greece aloud. An exaggerated meow escaped the kittens' lips, Greece sensed an alarm of danger and set off to follow her.
~Present Day Japan~
The darkness was odd but comforting, it felt as it was wrapping itself around Kiku as if to protect it from harm. Although Kiku knew that he could never escape pain since he was created. Pinching his eyelids together, tears slipped out of the crevasses. A slight nudge caused Kiku to roll over and land on his side. Japan, Japan are you alright?
Shaking his head in confusion, the voice disappeared. Footsteps took its place followed by a click of the door. The cold hard floor had pressed itself into Kiku's cheek as it echoed the droplets that fell slowly from Japan's hair and kimono. The dazed Japan squinted through one eye and observed the room he was in. All around him was large concrete blocks without any windows providing any bit of information as to where he could be.
Footsteps and a sloshing noise could be heard from the other side of the door. Kiku scrambled to the nearest concrete block in attempt to hide himself from his captor. Pressing himself against the corner of the adjoining walls, he held his breath as the creak announced the return of the captor. As Kiku looked down, the trail of water seemed to have followed him to his hiding spot. Sweat droplets began to form on his forehead as the click of the captor's shoes drew near. Bracing himself, he prayed for a way to escape.
~Present Day_~
China awoke from the sound of horrible laughter erupting from nowhere. He opened his eyes and attempted to stretch out his arms. Except he couldn't, he couldn't seem to move his arms at all. Confused, China looked down and saw that his arms were bound his back.
AHHHHHH!
There China was, dangling from a single rope that swayed back and forth from the tree it was connected to. A sudden current danced by which turned the panicked China into a swinging pendulum.
"I swear once I get out of here, I will take it all!" Hissed China angrily.
"Honhonhonhonohnonhonhnhonnon."
What the?
"Honhonhon mon cher, you hanging around just for me?"
Of course, France was the only one capable of this stupidity, thought China. Frantic, he tried restlessly to escape the fisherman's eye that held the rope securely together. He glared at Francis Bonnefoy who was leaning against the tree that held China captive. Smiling, he winked at the ticked off China.
"Get me off of here! France I swear I will invade you if you don't get me down from here!"
Thinking to himself, France pulled a rose out of his jacket pocket and began to pick off the petals and let the loose petals fly away with the wind current. To add to China's luck, they flew straight into his face.
"Mmshppff -spit- I swear as soon as I ge-"
"Tais-toi!Mon ami, would you honestly harm moi?"
Breaking his stance off of the tree he walked over to the very edge, only a few feet from where China was strung. Peering at him, he smiled mischievously. Although China did not understand much French, he understood when he was insulted. But before a word could be spoken, a sudden gust of wind emerged from above.
The sound of the air being sliced by blades was deafening. The sudden rush of air caused China to swing more rapidly than before. As all this was occurring, a rope ladder came down and landed near France.
"Get me down from here!"
The rapid motions did not ease, they became more violent as the helicopter attempted to remain in its single position while still in flight.
Climbing up the ladder, Francis turned his head and stuck one hand out. As the helicopter began to take flight, France seemed to be adjusting the collar of his shirt. China, squinting due to the rays projected by the sun, saw the motion France was suggesting. Or was he?
In one fluid motion, Francis Bonnefoy tore of his mask and tossed it in China's direction before ascending up the ladder and into the heart of the helicopter. Flabbergasted at what he had just witnessed, China watched as the latex mask of the spitting image of France fluttered down past him and into the abyss below.
If this is not France who is he?
Wait… someone get me down!
