"So, how was your day today?" Sakuno asked, while gently shampooing his short hair. She was on her knees. They were inside the bathtub and Ryoma's eyes were closed.

"Long and tiresome." He signed. "Trials to Olympics are starting soon and people have expectations."

"When are you starting to train?"

"Tomorrow."

"I see." She picked up the sponge and squeezed it, pouring some water on his hair to wash the shampoo away.

"I'm sorry." The golden eyes were sincere. "I know you don't like to be here by yourself."

"Are you kidding?" she grinned, showing her fangs. "I love this place. The best bed ever. And so many tv shows, I have a lot of things to watch." She slept during the day and would wake up at sunset.

He knew she was trying not to worry him. During all that time they were together, she was always trying to put him at ease. To make things between them as normal as possible since their bond became something more.

Ryoma's hands stopped on her waist. Her long red hair was hiding her beautiful breasts and he showed her a small smile.

"Did you already eat?"

"Not yet." Her fingers massaged his scalp. "I was waiting for you to get home."

"It's so late. You're probably hungry, right? You shouldn't wait for me."

"I like to wait for you." She cupped his face and placed a soft kiss on his mouth.

"Sakuno, I've been thinking about something."

"What is it?"

"I want to retire. After Olympics."

"Why so? You love tennis. And you're on your best shape. You should enjoy."

"I want to quit so we can spend more time together."

"We have all your mortal life to be together." She smiled.

"Do we really? Because it seems like we live at different times. You can't never go outside on daylight; we can never do regular things like other couples do while I have this crazy schedule."

She looked at him silently for a moment, before leaving the bathtub.

"I thought a relationship were about our feelings for each other." She had a deep frown on her face.

"Sakuno, wait." He got out of the bathtub as well.

"I am sorry me being a vampire is an inconvenience for you." She picked up a towel and started to dry herself.

Ryoma held her hand, gently, before she was able to leave the bathroom. The golden eyes had a hint of sadness.

"I love you."

The scarlet eyes were wide in surprise for a moment, before she averted her face.

She removed her hand from his grip before starting to dress with her clothes from the wardrobe.

"I need to leave."

"What? Did you hear what I just said?" she threw the towel on his chest.

"You are wetting the floor."

"Sakuno, please. Why are you so upset?"

"Why did you have to say those words?! Why did you have to complicate things?! I will never be able to give you what a human would!"

"I'm not asking for that." He stood in front of her and looked at her confused.

"But you will!" she took a deep breath. "I know you will. And I will not be enough for you. You will regret being with me, your feelings for me."

"Sakuno…" Why did she seem so hurt?

She tightened her hair in a ponytail, after finishing to get dressed in sneakers, jeans and a red t-shirt. She leaped on the windows and looked at him.

"Do not wait for me."

"Sakuno, wait!" Ryoma shouted, before she disappeared into the night.
