Pairing: Hajime/Chiaki
Summary: Hajime decides to talk to Chiaki one last time before he gets the surgery.
A/N: It's been awhile since I wrote something so I got off my lazy ass and wrote some Hinanami (because someone suggested that pair). Enjoy! ^^
"So what do you think Nanami-san? Becoming the SHSL Hope doesn't sound bad right?"
Hajime looked at Chiaki excitedly, expecting for her to be just as excited as he was. However, that wasn't it. The pinkette was concerned for her friend. A surgery to make him have a talent? No matter how you say it the whole thing sounded fishy.
"Hinata-kun... That'll be violating your rights as a human and you'll be a human test subject for them... I think."
It wasn't possible for anyone to "create" talent. Especially if it was something like hope. Chiaki didn't understand why the school was making a huge deal out of the whole talent thing. After all, wouldn't the "talentless" have more freedom than the "talented" did? She personally thought that it was stupid but the gamer didn't say anything, not wanting to hurt Hajime's feelings since she knew about his feelings for talent.
The brunet's wide smile on his face slowly disappeared. So she didn't approve after all... Well, that was kind of expected knowing how she was. He tried to give Chiaki a small smile, though it was a bit forced.
"I know they will but..." He looked down and balled up his fist. "This is my only chance to actually have a talent!"
It was his dream to attend Hope's Peak Academy. Being with those talented hope, it was the only thing important in his life. But once he found out that they'll never accept him unless he had a talent, Hajime began to have a growing desire to that. Having a talent meant that he could be with the other "symbols of hope"... But he wanted Chiaki's approval as well... Hajime heard Chiaki beginning to speak again.
"... Hina-"
"I know what you're going to say Nanami-san. You want me to think this over before doing it right?" Chiaki nodded before Hajime continued to talk. Even if Chiaki didn't approve, Hajime still wanted to have a talent. That was his final decision.
"Don't worry, if the surgery is successful then that means I get to be in your class! With you..."
"..." The pinkette knew that she couldn't stop Hajime, especially if he wanted talent. Chiaki smiled. "Okay I won't stop you but promise me something... Promise me that we'll still be friends after this."
"Of course I will!" He smiled back. Hajime looked at his wristwatch and noticed that he needed to go to his next class. "Ah I have to go now! I'll see you later Nanami-san!"
The brunet got up and was about to run to his class but Chiaki grabbed his arm, going up her toes and gave Hajime a peck on the cheek. His face flushed and looked at Chiaki in surprise.
"... Don't you need to go to your class now Hinata-kun?" Chiaki's face was slightly pink as well but it was barely visible. He nodded and began to run off to his class.
She watched the boy leave and picked up her DS, beginning to create a new game.
"I wonder if I can get the good ending this time..."
