A little quirky Nuna fic for you all :)

Perfect.

Luna Lovegood, was, to all intents and purposes, an outcast.

She had never really had friends before, and nor did she feel any real need for them. She was perfectly content by herself, thank you very much.

So when Luna Lovegood realised that, in fact, she wasn't very happy on her own, and more to the point, she wasn't very happy without a certain man in her life, it came as somewhat of a shock.

Unfortunately for Luna, this revelation came midway through a battle with two scarily large Deatheaters, in Hogwarts, during a war.

Fortunately, however, a stunning spell came from nearby and left her with only one Deatheater to contend with. As she idly sent a very successful Bat Bogey Hex in his direction, Luna pondered the consequences of falling in love. This took a relatively short period of time, since she had never before been in love, and thus she decided to follow up on her feelings as soon as she made sure she was free of this pesky Deatheater.

Having ascertained that the Deatheater was trying to fend off several large winged pieces of mucus, she set off at a run, not entirely sure which way she was heading.

Unfortunately for Luna, it was the entirely wrong direction. This was especially unfortunate since the object of her affections was in fact running towards her, from the opposite direction, intending to tell her of a similar epiphany.

Eventually, after several curses and a lot of running later, Neville Longbottom caught up with his Luna.

He grabbed hold of her arm, causing a fair bit of alarm, given that they were part of a war.

"Luna, look, I'm not great with all of this talking stuff, but I've got to tell you now, otherwise I'll probably never have another chance, and if I do, I won't pluck up the courage to do it. Luna, you're absolutely bloody insane. And I mean that in a good way, because, well, you're weird, like me, and that's good, I mean, I think it is. That is, I like it. And I don't think you should change. Because, I think you're bloody perfect, Luna. And, well, I guess... I love you."

Luna broke into a brilliant smile.

"No one's ever called me perfect before."

Neville wrapped his arms around her, momentarily forgetting their surroundings or the impending danger.

"Luna Lovegood, I promise you that if we both get out of this alive, I will spend every day telling you how perfect you are."
