I'm glad this is getting a huge response although the reviews aren't much but that's alright, I know you guys want to see Jack Frost and the other guardians but that's going to take a bit; I didn't exactly plan this whole thing out. Whatever comes out of this is always a surprise for me and if I actually think of something then that's awesome, the one thing that caught my attention is that you guys think Jokul Frosti is Jack Frost; he is not though, while they both are winter spirits they are not the same person. What I'm going for is a winter spirit before Jack and Jokul Frosti is sort of a Norse thing I would believe; Jokul is like him only different in looks and personality, maybe a little more serious and yeah…you'll just have to see I guess.
Also, depending on how busy I am (Not really at all) with rping and reading fanfiction is how this is going to go down…It was a month after the first chapter that I finally got to posting the second…this might be the same but I don't know. Also, I have a feeling the summary may make several changes because I'm not sure which direction this story will be taking.
I was thinking of taking another turn here and introducing a villain that could just about as bad as Pitch, if not worse, I was hoping to make him extremely evil; I knew I needed a reason for the Protectors to seek out Hiccup and now I had it…and here it does.
Chapter 3
It was cold, as it always was in the ice glacier that was known as Jokul's palace; he preferred the cold to any other temperature and he was a bit picky that way sometimes. Ulfr shivered a little and sighed. "You think he'll come?" he asked, trying to take his mind off of the coldness he couldn't get away from as blond girl with gold eyes walked into the room; she had clouds above her head that made different things.
"I don't read clouds…" Ulfr sighed.
She rolled her eyes. "Sorry, anyway…if he wants to join us he will…give him time to think about it." She said as she sat down on the nice comfy couch that had a bit of frost on it.
"Easy for you to say Dream…you have patience." Ulfr said.
A chuckle escaped the winter spirit as he looked at his two friends as they spoke. "The boy will come, I know he will." Jokul said as he looked out the window that he had in his palace; he knew Hiccup would accept the idea of joining the team instead of being alone, no one liked being alone. "Besides, who wouldn't want to join this little ragtag misfit team?" He asked, smirking slightly.
An ear twitched atop Ulfr's head as he stared at Jokul. "Did you just seriously call us misfits?" He asked, annoyed.
Jokul chuckled softly and sat beside Dream. "Well, anyway, we have a few hours before he decides on the answer."
"Meaning…we'll be stuck wondering about his choice." Ulfr said with a small sigh as he went to work on his axe, sharpening it a bit and shining it; his axe was a pretty big one although it was pretty light. The winter spirit sighed and shrugged a little. "Yeah, pretty much."

Hiccup sighed as he sat on Toothless' back; he had thought about the options a few times and decided that he would join them, especially paying attention to Toothless' vote since it mattered to him. "Let's head out Bud." He said and Toothless flew off in the direction of the glacier that held the others that had invited him to join their group, smile appeared on his lips as he felt excited for finding new friends; he pet Toothless' neck a little and hummed.
He sat straight when the glacier came into view and had Toothless search for an entrance, once he found where to enter he had Toothless fly into it and then he was met with three figures. "Uh…hey, so I kind of decided I wanted to be a part of this…" He said, rubbing the back of his neck, feeling nervous. Jokul smiled instantly when he saw Hiccup and went over to him. "I knew you would come!" He said and pat his shoulder as Dream came up to him and took his hand. "It's lovely to meet you Hiccup." She said and held her hand out for Toothless who sniffed her cautiously before putting his nose in her palm, telling her he trusted her.
Dream smiled and looked at Hiccup. "I'm Dream, I give people good dreams…bad dreams just sort of come with the territory but-" Ulfr cleared his throat. "I think he gets it, no need to ramble about." He assured, setting his huge axe down beside the couch as Jokul came up to him.
"I knew you would come Hiccup, anyway, now that you're here…we have something to discuss." The winter spirit told him. "Walk with me." Hiccup nodded and followed Jokul through his fortress, taking his time to look around a little while listening. "You are probably wondering why we asked you to join." Jokul stated as he glanced at the newer member.
Hiccup shrugged a little. "The thought did cross my mind." He said, crossing his arms as he turned his full attention back to Jokul.
"Well…there's an ancient evil coming back…you defeated it once." Jokul said. "A dragon you and your people called The Red Death…unfortunately this is much worse and the source for the dragon's evil is slowly coming back to the surface; his name is Dragos and we had sealed him into the caves of Dragon Island in hopes he could never get out. Little did we know a human would change the history between two creatures…this angered Dragos and we fear he may try to rise again, not only that Hiccup…he can pretty much control any dragon; he's most favorable over the Screaming Death." He explained.
Hiccup nodded and bit his lip. "So you'll need help…but what makes you think I can help you out?"
Jokul chuckled. "The moon awoke you, you are now a protector…and as protectors we make sure that everything is right in the world…you have won the moon's favor with your actions over your last battle with the Red Death. I have to admit Hiccup, I wasn't expecting much from a twig of a human but you did pretty well." He teased.
A small smile appeared on Hiccup's lips along with a small glare. "I don't know whether I should be offended by the twig comment, but thanks…I didn't think I could defeat that thing all on my own…" Hiccup still couldn't believe he had defeated that huge dragon by himself, along with his friends; he sighed as a part of him was feeling a little homesick but he knew that he could never really return. "So…what can you tell me about this Dragos besides him being sealed away, and how he favors the Screaming Death?"
The winter spirit crossed his arms and sighed. "That, my friend…is something I was just about to share."

Darkness, that's how things could be described at the moment, a deep and cold darkness that was hard to find your way out of…and he hated it. Ever since the Red Death had disappeared thanks to that boy, nothing but darkness could reach the deepest depths of the cave; Dragos growled as he snapped his fingers and made fire appear in his hand. Oh how he preferred the light, the burning of the fire…everything should burn; he smirked at the thought and made his way out.
It had been so long since he had seen sun, after the ordeal of the boy killing his Red Death he had to wait to get his full strength back; he hated that it took a few years to do so but he at least was feeling stronger. Once he was outside; he shielded his face from the burning light that was the sun before calling out to a Screaming Death in the distance which flew over once it had heard his call. "Now is our time to burn the world my dear…" He cooed.
"The world will fear the coming of the end." The scarred face smirked evilly as he pet the dragon in a loving manner.
In my opinion this chapter sucks…but I hope you like it. It's going to speed up after this chapter. I'm going to work extra hard on the next chapter though to make up for this crap.
