To say that Dumbledore was surprised was an understatement. When he'd helped Severus escape Azkaban by becoming a spy, he'd not been told about the box. Yet here Severus was, trying in vain to keep the catlike woman out of his lap after explaining the events that led up to her presence. He reached for a lemon drop before speaking. "It would seem Severus that you are indeed stuck with her." He watched Severus scowl. "Now now my boy. If she is indeed whom she claims to be she could be an invaluable resource for your research." It was at this moment he realized she was no longer clinging to Severus, but rather she was curled up in the window with Fawkes on her knee, crooning to the Phoenix.

"Such a pretty thing you are. You at least get it who I am. We'll have to sing together sometime, you and I."

"I'm sure he'd be delighted my dear but the hour is late. Perhaps for now it would be better for all to retire for the evening?"

"Of course headmaster." She smiled sweetly at him before putting Fawkes on his perch and moving to cling to Severus again.

Severus scowled and stalked from his office the young woman in tow. He looked to Fawkes on his perch. "I must say my dear friend, if she indeed whom she claims to be, we are in for some very interesting times." Fawkes trilled at him in agreement before tucking his head under a wing. "Yes, sleep is perhaps the best answer. Goodnight my friend."

Severus shifted feeling his arm trapped by something as he stirred on the edge of waking. The unexpected weight made him freeze and onyx eyes slid open as he came face to face with a very much asleep black panther.

He stared at it before wondering if he could reach his wand. He cast a glance over towards the bedside table, casting out his free arm to try and reach for it when he felt a rough tongue swipe up his cheek. He froze again and the panther almost seemed to laugh at him before it moved off his arm and lept gracefully from the bed, changing mid way to the woman from the night before. "Serves you right for trying to make me sleep on the couch and then trying to lock me out of the room." She said with a flick of her tail before dancing through the door.

He groaned and got up for the day, moving about to shower and dress. When he finally emerged it was to find breakfast laid out on the table and her no-where in sight, for which he was glad. He didn't want her to see him dig into the thoughtful gesture with enthusiasm. She returned just as he was sitting back with a cup of tea in one hand and a copy of the Daily Prophet in hand. she snatched it away from him to flop rather ungracefully into a chair and began reading it. "So I've been updated by the house elves about the state of the school. Needless to say we're moving into my quarters as soon as they're clean. You'll have a better lab to work with there and all of my potions books." She looked at him over the top of the paper. "I'm going out for the day. If you need anything just yell for me."

He barely had time to process what she was saying before she was growling at the front page of the paper. "I'm going to kill whomever thought leaving my NEPHEW with a bunch of muggles was a good idea. Protected my arse. He's of the Great Mother's blood line. He's safest here. And more so with me awake now." She held up the front page with the picture of a baby on it in black and white. "See! He even has the Great Mother's eyes!" She huffed and threw the paper on the table as a house elf appeared.

"What's can Tillsy be doing for Mistress Chaos?"

"Get the nursey that's off my quaters prepared. The best of everything from Lady Slytherin's rooms and then anything needed bring me a list so I can purchase it. The Great Mother's grandson is coming home to Hogwarts."
