After the meeting with the other head captains was over Sawako had started to return to her barracks when she felt someone approach her from behind. It had been Captain Ukitake and a couple of the others that she knew from a long time ago. "I suppose I do owe you guys an explanation as to why I'm here. Yeah?" She said to the four captains that were behind Ukitake. With that, she turned back around and started to walk to one of the training rooms in the 10th division. Though she flashes stepped halfway through the walk so it wasn't really far. As the six of them arrived at one of the vacated rooms Sawako sat down on the floor and waited for the others to do so as well. When she noticed that everyone had been seated Sawako looked up and softly smiled at all of them. Toshiro suddenly got up and raised his voice at her. "How can you sit there and smile at us like that?! We all thought you were dead and now you're here as if nothing happened those years you were gone." As Toshiro was just finishing his rant Captain Ukitake gently placed a hand on his arm as if to calm him down slightly. It was then that Sawako spoke her voice calm and soft. "Shiro I had my reasons and I'm sorry that you had to go through that. But, it was of utter importance that I disappear without 'him' knowing." Just then the captain of squad 6 Byakuya Kuchiki got up and scoffed at her. "I don't need to hear excuses from you. If you were going to tell us what really happened then do it." Byakuya left after that and he didn't come back.

Sawako sighed and simply looked at her little brother and the others. "I'm sorry for leaving all those years ago but I had to or I would have been murdered. Aisen would have killed me simple as that. I found out about his plans and he was going to kill me. That's my reason for faking my death all those years ago." She said to everyone right before Toshiro's lieutenant Rangiku Matsumoto made herself known announcing that captain Toshiro Hitsugaya had some duties to attend to in the barracks. When this came up Sawako took her leave from everyone and went back to her barracks only to be confronted by Byakuya in her private barracks. "You know if you wanted to talk to me you could've let Momo know and I would have seen you." She said to him smiling gently. As Sawako said that she went towards one of the chairs in her room and sat down waiting for a reply. Byakuya looked at Sawako and asked, "Where did you go after the mission?" "Um, I don't know what you're talking about Byakuya, sorry." She said confused slightly. "You know exactly what I'm talking about Sawako. You just don't want to remember it right? When we had a mission in the rukon district." She had to look down at her hands when he mentioned it. "Maybe but it doesn't have to do with anything important." Byakuya looked slightly upset at Sawako's words. "It has everything to do with it. You disappeared out of nowhere, and you just come back thinking everything would have blown over. You know almost all of the captains but the ones that don't know you think it's quite weird that you have the same name as Toshiro Hitsugaya. They'll figure it out sooner or later you know.." At his statement, she flinched a bit knowing that she was very sorry for leaving him.

"I'm sorry..for everything Byakuya. I had my reasons okay, he was going to kill me. I didn't want to die so...I faked my death to make him stop digging. I don't see why you're so upset about it. You didn't care that I had died and when you saw my body you just looked disgusted.." By the time Sawako was finished she was crying into her hands. Byakuya noticed the women's state so he calmly walked over to her and placed a hand on her head. Though at the sudden action Sawako smacked the hand away. "Captain please leave. I wish to be alone now." "I'm not leaving until you calm down. I know how you can get Ako." He said softly going to place his hand on her head once again. The second time Sawako felt him place his hand on her head she left it alone. It calmed her down a bit even though she'd never admit to it.
