It was actually beginning to get amusing. It took all of Hilda's self control to not laugh at Alfendi Layton as he walked back down the street, his head hanging once again.

The man was getting desperate, that was for sure. She headed into the building hoping she'd come in to some good news for once. She and Justin thought they might have a lead on the killer or a possible accomplice and were going to get decisive evidence sometime this afternoon.

They were twenty murders in… Hilda didn't know how much longer she could take working on this.

Her train of thought was cut off as Justin all but ran into her while she was still in the lobby, stopping her in her tracks.

"What's going on?" She asked, as the larger man grabbed her arm and turned her around.

"We were right." He opened the front door for her. "The fingerprints on the cannister match Kola Borator's. We can go arrest her now."

"About damn time." She said, darting over to the car. "Where can we find her?"

"Her apartment is located at 116 Ivyhill Road." He explained, getting into the passenger's seat of her car. "She works at a shop across the street. I called the manager and she's working right now."

"Great. Let's go."

Alfendi smirked as he watched the car with the two officers pull away. He knew it was a good idea to hang around just a few minutes longer. If he got a cab fast enough, he could get to that address right when they were and catch the whole thing.

When they arrived at the convenience store, Kola was sweeping the sidewalk outside of the building. There were several groups of people scattered around the street but thankfully, none too close to the store.

"Let's approach cautiously." Justin advised, unbuckling his seat belt. "We don't want to spook her off."

"Right. Hopefully this will be straightforward…" Hilda stepped out of the car and onto the street. "I don't like all of the people walking around. Last thing we need is for this to escalate more than necessary like last time we caught an accomplice…"

The young woman looked up as they approached, several expressions flashing across her face before settling into a blank expression. As they stepped out, Hilda noticed the woman's eyes dart about, as if searching for an escape route. They gave her some space, but not enough that she should be able to get away easily.

"Agent Pertinax, Inspector Lawson…" She greeted flatly. "I didn't expect to see you both again."

"Kola Borator," Justin took a breath, preparing to arrest her. "You are under arrest for suspicion in the murders of…"

As Justin began listing off several of the victim's names, Hilda glanced up and down the street for anything out of the ordinary. Nothing on the right side of the street. On the left side her eyes met those of someone very familiar and Hilda felt her blood run cold. Her eyes widened in horror as she made eye contact with Alfendi Layton, not ten feet away from Justin, holding up that blasted camera of his.

'What are you doing here?!' She mouthed viciously.

The idiot had the nerve to shrug and wink at her as he snapped a picture of the scene. Fury replaced the shock and horror she was feeling.

"Drop the broom and keep your hands in sight." Justin's order snapped her focus back to the scene at hand. She could deal with Layton later, right now they had an suspect to arrest.

"I—I—" Kola's blank facade was fading away and Hilda was satisfied to see fear on the woman's face. She dropped the broom and covered her face in her hands, shaking it back and forth. "No. No! It's just… It's a misunderstanding!"

"Calm down, ma'am." Justin barked, taking a step toward the panicking woman. Hilda's eyes kept flicking back to Alfendi. Justin had made no indication he had seen the scarlet haired idiot yet and that concerned Hilda. Something was going to go wrong, she could feel it.

"P-Please! Just—I just…" The woman was frantic now, her arms wrapped around her chest and tears filling her eyes.

Hilda stepped closer, not liking the situation.

In a flash, Kola snapped up and dashed past them.

"Freeze!" Hilda shouted, pulling out her gun. She was ready to give chase, but froze as she realized Kola had already stopped running.

"Nobody move!" Kola shouted gruffly, the little girl act thrown out the window. Hilda cursed as she realized the woman had Alfendi Layton in a headlock, a knife to his throat.
