Hey guys, not much to say.
About half the tributes were already there when Ria and Kawino got to the training floor. Katniss was not amongst them since Katniss and Peeta were the last to arrive. "Sure you want to be in the pack?" Kawino asked.
"I'm sure." Ria nodded. "Are you sure you don't?"
"For the most part," he said.
"What if she says no though? Then what would you do?" Ria asked.
"Then I'll consider joining the pack and let you know," He said.
Ria nodded, "Well, alright."
"Yeah," He said.
"Should I let the rest of the Careers know for now?" Ria asked.
"Not yet,"
"Alright, just let me know when to but just so you know they're most likely going to ask."
"Send them over to me then," He said.
"Well... okay I will." Ria promised realizing how much She owes him for saving her family.
"Thanks," He said.
"You're welcome." She said with a small smile.
"Why do you keep smiling at me like that?" He asked making her blush.
"No reason. It's just something I do a lot." She lied hoping Kawino being Kawino won't question it or notice the blush.
"Uh...okay then..." He said oddly.
Ria was relieved at this point that she had not known Kawino before the reaping. Silence stretched out between the two of them as more and more tributes arrived until Katniss and Peeta finally arrived. Katniss caught sight of them. Though lost on Kawino, Ria could tell exactly how that was going to go but before She could approach Alana had started since everyone was there.
Once the talk was over they separated. Before Kawino could go to any of the stations Katniss went right over to him. "What game are you playing, 2?" She demanded.
"Uh, The Hunger Games?" He asked confused.
Katniss assumed he was trying to be funny but was not amused and said, "Stop playing dumb, I mean with me."
"Oh! I just wanted an alliance with you no jokes," he said.
"Well, I'm not gonna fall for it."
"Fall for what?" He asked still confused.
"The obvious trap that you're doing such a terrible job setting."
"I am not setting any sort of trap really," he said.
"And you expect me to believe that my volunteering to save my sister reminded you of your dead sister?" She spat.
"Well yeah it really did," Kawino said genuinely hurt by her words there and it showed in his voice.
"Then why didn't you stop her from volunteering?" Katniss asked accusingly.
"I couldn't!" He said defensively.
"And why not? It's not like she was reaped or decided to volunteer as a last second decision. She just wanted the glory of being crowned victor like you all do and if you really cared about her that much you should have talked her out of it."
"You have no idea what you're talking about all you have is you're assumptions about me, her and other districts you do not understand," he said slightly offended at her thinking She was so smart and had known his sister at all.
Her eyes narrowed and said stubbornly, "I still don't trust you."
"You do not have to it was just an offer and I told you why I offered, why would you team with worthless me anyway?" he said shrugging.
"I'd be honestly surprised if you were worthless." Katniss said surprised by that since being from 2 he must have been trained in all this stuff.
"Well, I would not," he said covering his wrists.
Katniss did not notice and said, "Well, it's just unlikely is all." Before walking over to the knot tying station.
Kawino sighed wondering where to go now. He settled on archery as it really did not matter he had a mastery of most of these weapons. "I assume you already have it down?" The trainer asked noticing the 2 on his shirt.
"Mostly," Kawino said looking over bows carefully. The trainer just raised an eyebrow so use to just stepping back and letting them show off whenever he sees a 1, 2, or 4 on their shirt. He picked a sleek black recurve bow.
He drew it back a short ways testing the weight before grabbing an arrow and shooting. It hit dead center. He fired a few more hitting the exact center every time so the trainer suggested some of the clay pigeons. Kawino nodded slightly at that. Kawino nocked another arrow and the trainer threw one of the pigeons into the air shooting it down. He threw two more into the air and Kawino shot them both down.
The whole session went very similar to Katniss' in Catching Fire except for the last part. "He's good," Katniss muttered. She snorted slightly and said, "I knew he couldn't have been worthless." She looked to his face expecting a smirk and saw nothing.
Kawino turned to the trainer expecting some kind of insult. "Good work," He said.
"Really?" He asked with a raised eyebrow honestly surprised at that.
"Really very nice," He said. He had absolutely no idea what to say having never been told something like that before. "Are you okay?"
"What do you mean?" Kawino asked.
"You seem off," He said.
"It's just… no one's ever said that about me."
"Good work?" He asked.
Kawino nodded and set the bow down, "Never."
"Well that is odd, but never the less your shooting is excellent," He said.
"I have no idea how to respond to that."
"Okay," He said oddly.
"I'll just move on." He said awkwardly and headed off.
He went over to the mace station but was approached by Glimmer. "Hello," He said when she stopped beside him.
"I was wondering why you weren't with the others. She told me to come talk to you."
"I am not sure I want to be in the pack," He said.
Glimmer raised an eyebrow and asked, "And why's that. Your odds would be a lot better."
"True, but my odds are high as is, and I have a few things I need to sort out," He said as she looked him up and down.
Glimmer laughed and said, "Of course they're high. I wouldn't be here pushing it if they weren't. I saw you shoot but I'm more worried about back home." She said vaguely then added to prevent suspicion from other tributes. "You want to make your family proud right?"
"He only person in my family that would ever be proud died last year," he said.
Glimmer was certainly surprised by that, "Really?"
"Really," he said sadly.
"Well, I'm sorry to hear that. So you don't really even care about the rest then?"
"Not really," he said.
"Well, I'm so sorry to hear about what happened." Glimmer said seeming genuinely sympathetic.
"She died in last year's games,"
"Oh, that's terrible." Glimmer said remembering Clove's death.
"Yeah it was," he said.
"I'm sorry."
"It was not your fault," he said thinking of last year's victor and wishing he could get his hands on him.
"You know. If you win, you could go after Glam during the tour." Glimmer said as if she had read his mind.
"Yes I could..." he said carefully.
"Well, may the odds be ever in your favor." She said.
"And in yours," he said flashing a smile.
"You know if you want, I could go after Glam for you if I win." Glimmer offered.
"I would like that," he said smiling again.
"Alright, I'll let the other Careers know too. After all, it's obviously going to to be one of us who wins, right?"
"Right," he said.
"So don't worry. I'll make sure he gets what's coming to him."
"Thanks uhhh..." he trailed not knowing her name.
"Oh, I'm sorry. My name's Glimmer and you are?"
"Kawino," he said.
"Alright, well, it's my pleasure Kawino."
"Still thank you," he said taking her hand and kissing the back of it as Enobaria said was polite in the Capital.
Glimmer giggled and said, "You're welcome."
"I suppose you should get back to the pack?" He asked a now slightly pink Glimmer.
"Right, don't cut us out as an option though, Kawino. We wouldn't turn you down if you change your mind." Glimmer said before heading back. He nodded watching her go. She headed back to the other Careers who were just watching as usual.
"So?" Marvel asked noticing her pink cheeks.
"He'll think about it but he doesn't think he wants to. He did have one request though for whichever becomes victor."
"Yeah?" They asked looking at her.
"He wants them to beat up Glam because his sister was the girl in the final 2 with him."
"The girl he beat to death?"
"Exactly," Glimmer nodded.
"Okay," He said.
"I certainly would even if he hadn't requested it." Ria said even though she was still pretty sure she didn't stand a chance She needed to seem confident in front of the other tributes.
"Really why?" Glimmer asked.
"Well, I already knew it was her and he had done so much for me that it's the least I could do."
"What has he done for you?"
"I'd rather not share in front of everyone." Ria said looking around.
"Later?" Glimmer asked.
"How about this, any of you guys who are interested can meet me on the roof right after you private session. That way we can make sure to keep the background district people from spying in." Ria offered.
They all nodded.
Three days later, Ria and Kawino headed to the training floor one last time. "Nervous?" He asked.
"Extremely," She said fiddling with her shirt.
"Don't be you'll do great," he said.
"No I won't. I'm no good. They'll be expecting the best and just get… me." Ria sighed.
"Hey don't talk like that," he said pulling her into a hug.
She was surprised by the hug but was happy to return it, "Like you're one to talk."
"You give me too much credit," he said.
"No, you give yourself too little because your parents gave you none and you believed them."
"Well they were right," he said not letting her go.
"No they weren't you're absolutely amazing and literally anyone here would tell you that."
"No way," He said.
"I'm telling the truth, Kawino. You'll see when the reveal our scores for today. Just go in there and do your very best."
"Right," He said.
"You'll see for yourself too though." He added.
"You think so?"
He nodded, "I really do."
"Thanks," She said kissing his cheek.
Kawino was surprised and very confused at that gesture, "What was that?"
"That was a kiss or a form of one," She said blushing.
"Oh… what does it mean?"
"It's a sign of affection and caring, and sometimes even...love," She said.
"Oh… so… what was that one?"
"A little of all," She admitted blushing.
"That doesn't make any sense." Kawino said looking away as they arrived on the ground floor which felt a lot longer than two floors but wasn't.
"I can show you more on this later alright?" She asked.
Kawino nodded slowly and said, "Alright."
She smiled very pink, but looking pleased. They had got there fairly late compared to the other tributes. "There you are," Glimmer said as they exited.
"Hey Glimmer, you excited?" Ria asked.
"Yes I am," She said.
"So am I." Ria lied convincingly.
"You will both do great," Kawino said.
"So will you." Ria told him.
"I hope so," he said.
"I'm sure you will." Glimmer said as Marvel was called in.
"We'll see," he said.
"So, the roof right?" Glimmer asked.
"Yeah roof," Ria said.
"Alright, I'll be there." Glimmer said.
"Good," Ria said nodding.
"What about the roof?" Kawino asked having not been told.
"Career meeting," Ria said.
"Oh, alright." Kawino said.
"Not welcome am I?"
"No, you can come, just head up to the roof after your session. We just needed to make sure the people from other districts stay out of it."
"Got it," he said.
Glimmer was then called in so Kawino was up next. He seemed nervous he had been judged his whole life and never had it ended well. "Don't hold back, Kawino." Ria told him. "Anything you've been prepared on, do it and do it to the best of your ability start with the best though since they might dismiss you at any time."
"Right!" He said as they called him in.
He headed in and being from 2 there wasn't a single eye that wasn't on him. Keeping in mind what Ria had told him he headed over to the knife throwing station first and grabbed four throwing them all at the same time hitting four different bulls eyes. He then threw four more each landing in the hearts of four human shaped targets. 'Keep moving,' He thought to himself too nervous to look at the Gamemaker's reactions.
He went to archery next and shot five perfect shots then headed to swords. Directly acknowledging the Gamemakers for the first time Kawino requested someone to fight against.
They sent in the trainer. He grabbed a long heavy sword handling it with ease and blocked the trainer swipe before making his own. The trainer just barely blocked and tried to knock him away. Kawino blocked and kicked him in the gut. The trainer was knocked back but not down and found Kawino's sword pressed against his neck.
From there he tied knots, made hooks and did camouflage before dismissal.
He left to the elevator and headed up to the roof feeling as though he had failed. After all, he never really knew any other feeling. He arrived to find Marvel and Glimmer already there. "So, how did it go? Good? Bad?" Glimmer asked.
"Not sure, but I think I failed," he sighed.
"Really?" She asked surprised by that.
"Really," he sighed.
"Well, if it's any conciliation I didn't do very well either." Glimmer said.
"I'm sure you did fine," He said.
Glimmer shook her head, "Definitely not, unless you count completely missing eight out of ten shots with a bow from twenty yards 'fine'."
"That's okay," He said.
"It's pathetic."
"I'm sure there are worse," Kawino said.
"Undoubtedly but not out of the Careers,"
"We'll see," he said as Ria came up.
"Told you." Ria said gruffly.
"What?" He asked.
"I did horribly."
"You don't know that," He said.
"Yes I do."
"No you don't," He said soothingly.
"Well, how do you think you did?" Ria asked.
"Terribly," He said.
"Impossible, unless you were actually trying to be."
"Says you,"
"Say's me to." Marvel said having seen him in training.
"Stop lying," he sighed.
"I'm not. I saw what you can do during training."
"Its not enough," he said.
"Oh, it's way more than enough."
"No it isn't," he argued.
"How could you not think so?" Glimmer asked.
"Not perfect," He said.
"Kawino, there's a difference between not perfect and a failure. Despite what your parents say." Ria corrected.
"No there is not," He said.
"Yes there is a huge difference." Ria said seriously.
"Is that so?" He asked confused.
"Definitely, your parents were just flat out cruel people who always set impossible expectations demanding you meet them under the threat of violence, starvation, and sleep deprivation. You can't possibly trust their word on that or anything really."
"Why not?" He asked.
"Because they're wrong, Kawino."
"They are never wrong,"
"They're never right." Ria sighed. "You've just been basically brainwashed to think they are."
"Maybe," He said.
"No maybe, definitely."
"I suppose so,"
"But if you don't believe me, just like I said, wait for the scores."
"Okay," he sighed.
"What if it is low though?" He asked.
"Unlikely," Ria said.
"I've had my work judged my whole life and it NEVER ends well."
"This time it will,"
"How do you know?"
"I feel like it will, and we have seen your skill,"
"Everyone keeps saying that."
"Because it's true,"
"It's just hard." Kawino sighed.
"I know, but it will be okay,"
"Still not buying it."
"Well you should."
"Well I can't."
"You will,".
"I guess we'll see."
A short while later, Macey got there and so did her district partner, "So, I guess you all want to know then?" Ria asked.
"Yes," Macey said.
"Well, back in District 2, after the second reaping, Kawino had requested a Career Districts B Plan." Ria said happily.
"What!?" They all gasped.
"Well, yeah, I was going to make sure they were killed anyways but seeing how much she clearly loved her family I figured I might as well save hers in the process." Kawino shrugged.
"That is so amazing," Glimmer said.
"It was nothing really."
"It's something," Glimmer said.
"Why did you want your family to die so much?" Macey asked.
"They need to die," he said.
"The only one in my family who deserved to live died in last year's games. Unfortunately she had obviously passed the brutality test."
"That's awful," Glimmer said.
Kawino nodded looking down. "It'll be okay soon," He said.
"What do you mean?" Glimmer asked.
"They'll be dead at least hopefully,"
"Well, definitely since you had requested the B Plan. Were they really that bad?" Glimmer asked.
"You know your childhood happiness outside training?" Kawino asked looking to them all.
They all nodded and Kawino said bluntly, "Well, I never had one."
"How is that possible?"
"I literally lived at the Special Academy I was only not training to use the bathroom, go to Reapings or if I do what they want perfectly to eat or sleep."
"That's so inhuman!" Glimmer said.
"Yeah, well, it was life." Kawino sighed.
"Not right," Marvel muttered.
"That's exactly why they need to die."
"Good point," he said.
"It wasn't so bad for Clove. She was always the favorite while I was the worthless piece of shit who could never do anything right."
"Even worse," Macey said.
"Not for her and that's all that mattered."
"You never thought of yourself?"
"Not really it wouldn't make any difference. At least Clove stood a chance. She even had a boyfriend, Cato Harring, hung himself about a week after she died."
"He did?"
"Yes he did. He was in my parents' class, meant a lot to me."
"That must been horrible,"
"You have no idea. Two of the four people I ever actually cared about dead in such a short time frame leaving me alone with… with them."
"Your... parents?" Ria sighed.
"Yes with them but they're obviously not the other two. That only left Cato's little sister Cady Harring and Enobaria Colter, I assume you already know who she is."
"Your mentor?"
"That's her she helped train quite often and though she didn't know what was going on. I was her prized student. She was really the only one who ever made me feel like… like I was actually worth something."
"So, a mother then?"
"Well, that's at least how I had thought of her."
"Good you need one," Ria said.
"Well, yeah, I guess so."
"You do," She said hugging him.
He was surprised but returned the hug, "Thank you, Ria."
"My pleasure," She blushed.
Glimmer giggled slightly then asked, "So, are you guys… together?"
"What? I well..." Ria stammered as Kawino looked confused.
"You mean like… girlfriend and boyfriend?" Kawino asked looking over at her.
"Yeah that's what I mean," Glimmer said as Ria turned a darker red though smiled at the thought.
"No, she's just a friend." Kawino said completely oblivious to her response to that. "There's actually someone else in the arena that's caught my eye."
"Oh really?" Ria asked somewhat sadly.
"Yes really, you knew this, Ria."
"Yeah I know I just thought... never mind," She said.
"What?" He asked turning to her confused.
"Nothing," She said.
"Alright," He said not questioning any farther.
She nodded and let him go as Glimmer asked. "So, who is it?"
"Katniss," Kawino answered honestly.
"12's girl?" Glimmer asked surprised.
"That's the one." Kawino nodded, "I tried to request her as an ally but she was convinced that it was a trap."
"Can't blame her though," Glimmer said.
"She's right." Macey said. "With the way the Capitol's making us out to be. She has no way of viewing any of us as anything but blood thirsty monsters just as bad if not worse than the Capitol itself."
"True," He sighed.
"I'm sorry, Kawino but it's just the way things are." Macey sighed.
"I know, I know" He said.
"Maybe you should try a relationship with a career District girl it would likely work out better," Marvel said.
"I guess but I haven't really found anyone besides her that makes me feel that way." Kawino said unknowingly stomping on Ria's heart.
"Maybe, you are not looking hard enough," Macey said putting an arm around Ria.
"Well, I guess I could try to look back in 2 if I win." Macey sighed wondering if she could spell out Ria for him subtlety. Ria sighed headed back to the elevator and down to her floor trying not to start crying. "What's wrong with her?" He asked worried.
"I'm not sure." Glimmer lied knowing Ria probably doesn't want her telling him.
"I'm going to go talk to her." He said.
He headed to the elevator and waited for it to arrive.
It arrived and he headed down finding Ria crying though silently. "Ria, what's wrong?" He asked going over to her.
"I...you..." She stammered.
He raised an eyebrow and start down next to her giving her a hug. She seemed to hesitate but did hug him back. "It's okay. Just tell me what's wrong."
She sighed and tried to find a way to explain. "Well... the thing is... I do like you that way, Kawino."
"That way really?" He asked. She nodded and just kept crying. "I'm sorry, Ria. I did not know," he said stunned and still holding her.
"I figures so but what you said up there had really hurt."
"I did not mean to hurt you," he said.
"I know but that doesn't help."
"What can I do?" He asked.
"Nothing I can't force you into anything. Besides, one if not both of us will be dead soon."
"Sorry," he said holding her.
"Not your fault," She said wiping her eyes. "I guess I should have known it was a lost cause."
"No its not you are beautiful as well," he said brushing a tear off her cheek.
"Really?" She asked hopefully.
"Really," he said looking down at her. She really was with her slightly tanned skin, dark green eyes, and brown hair and he could not help but notice how soft her skin was as he brushed another tear from her face.
"So what then?" She asked.
"I am not sure," he said still looking down at her.
"Oh, well, there's still the games in the way anyways."
"Yeah I suppose," he said and kissed her forehead since she had told him that was a sign of affection.
"I hate this." She sighed. "I hate this so much. Why does one of us have to die?"
"I don't know," he sighed holding her.
"Do you really like me, Kawino. Like you like, Katniss?"
"I think I actually do," he admitted as that odd feeling in his stomach was there.
"Well, that could very well be a problem with where we're headed to in three days."
"I know," He sighed.
"Maybe it would be best if we just say goodbye now. Make things easier." She said sliding out of his arms.
"I don't want to though I am always saying goodbye," He said sadly.
"I don't either but we don't really have any other options here."
"So we just give up?" He asked.
"On us anyways. There was never any hope in this going anywhere."
"You do not even want to try?" He asked as they stopped at their floor.
"What's the point, Kawino?" She sighed.
"Being happy eve for a short time?" He asked.
"I guess but it will just make it harder to eventually say goodbye."
"That's true, I suppose I should be used to being unhappy," He sighed.
"Kawino, whether it's true or not don't say that. You deserve to be happy."
"The universe disagrees" He said.
"Well, like you said, it will be better once they die."
"Or I die," He sighed.
"You're not going to die unless you still try to."
"Maybe," He sighed.
"Well, at least don't try to, okay?" She asked. "You have to at least try to win and when you do I promise that things will get better."
"Why? It's a no win situation," He sighed.
"How so?" She asked.
"Either I win and lose both you and Katniss or I lose and the people who need me lose me and your family dies," He said.
"You would find someone else if you win." Ria promised. "Any girl would be lucky to have you."
"You don't mean that." He said simply going into his room.
"I mean it more than I've ever meant anything." Ria sighed looking at the now shut door.
Kawino lay on his bed and sighed he hated this. "There must be some other way." He breathed staring at the ceiling. Nothing came to him though but thoughts Ria and Katniss.
A few hours later, the two of the headed to the TV room to see the scores. They sat on opposite couch ends not looking at each other. The scores started to show obviously with Marvel and Glimmer's then Kawino's came up tying Katniss with an eleven. They obviously didn't know it was tied though. "Eleven!" Enobaria said proudly.
"Eleven?" Kawino asked turning to her. "Twelve is the highest, isn't it?"
"Yes it is," She said. Kawino sighed and got up heading to his room without another word. "What's wrong?" Enobaria asked stopping him.
"I failed. I'm not perfect."
"You're closer than the others," She said.
"That doesn't matter. I'm not perfect."
"Kawino you did great," She said hugging him.
"Not perfect though. Twelve is perfect, I'm supposed to be perfect."
"You did wonderfully," She said soothingly.
"How could I be?" He sighed leaning against her.
"You are, no one is perfect," He said.
"They are."
"No they are not," She said.
"Yes they are. They're the absolute best at everything."
"Not at being people or parents," She said.
"Well, no but that's not what…"
"That is what matters here, you are great!" She said.
"You really think so?" He asked.
"Of course I do," She said. "No one else has even ever gotten an eleven before."
"Katniss just did." Ria said specking for the first time since that conversation with Kawino. They both whipped around to look and she was right.
"Unbelievable," Enobaria breathed seeing that, after all, District 12 usually lands in the 1-3 range.
"Impressive," Brutus said.
Kawino slid out of Enobaria arm and went to his room locking the door behind him. "Damn," Enobaria sighed looking over to Ria.
"Sorry, I guess I should have kept that to myself." Ria said looking down.
"Maybe, but he would have found out sometime" She sighed.
"I guess. Still, it seems like every time I open my mouth it just makes things worse."
"What do you mean?" She asked not knowing about their talk in the elevator.
Ria sighed and explained what happened.
"Oh! I am so sorry," Enobaria said.
"I guess it was bound to happen. After all, there's only one winner right?"
"Yes, but at least you both would have been somewhat happy," She shrugged.
"So, you think we should have gone with it?"
"Maybe, but it was and is up to you both," She said.
"I'm sure that when he wins he'd find someone us back in 2 and I told him that but he doesn't believe me. Said he guesses he should be used to being unhappy."
"Well he is unfortunately," She said.
"Do you happen to know anyways to convince him? You know him a lot better than I do."
"Not sure here, heartbreak is new to him,"
"I know but I didn't mean to hurt him. He's just so… fragile." Ria sighed.
"Well, he is emotionally damaged," she said.
"I know. I understand that. Of course would be but it's just hard. The last thing I want to do is hurt him."
"I know," she said sadly.
"Well, I know Brutus is my mentor but do you have any advice on that?" Ria asked.
"Either work it out or apologize," she said.
"Would he understand an apology?" Ria asked figuring he's probably never really heard one.
"Unlikely, but you could try." She said.
"I'll try to think of a way to explain it first." Ria deduced.
"Good idea." Enobaria said.
She figured something decent enough out and headed over.
She knocked since the door was locked. "Who is it?" Kawino asked.
"Ria," She said hoping he wouldn't send her away.
The lock clicked and the door opened as Kawino was headed back to his bed. "What do you want?" He asked.
"I wanted to say that I was sorry." Ria said.
"What why?" He asked.
"I realize that what I had said had really hurt you. It might be difficult for you to imagine but that's the last thing I wanted to do."
"Why would care?"
"I guess I'm just a naturally caring person and you have already been through so much. No reason to make it worse."
"So what do you want?" He asked carefully.
"Just to apologize." Ria said.
"Okay, thanks" he said halfheartedly.
"You're welcome. I just want to help you feel a little bit better."
"Yeah, okay I want you to feel happy though," He said.
"Well, that's unlikely here. I don't want to have to kill anyone."
"I know," He said.
"Unfortunately there's no way around it." She sighed coming over to him and sitting on his bed. "Maybe you were right though, that we should try to be somewhat happy at least for a little bit."
"What are you saying?" He asked looking over to her.
Instead of answering, she leaned in and kissed him, this time on the lips. He tensed and for a second she though he was going to push her away. Then his hands seemed to him to move on their own as they settled on her waist. She smiled into the kiss and wrapped her arms around his chest.
Eventually they broke for air both red-faced with her leaning comfortably against him. "So?" Ria asked hopefully. "What did you think?"
"I liked it, I really did," He admitted smiling a little.
"Well, so did I." She said snuggling into his chest.
"So what does this mean?"
"Well... it means that for now, we can both be happy, right."
"Okay, I like that idea," He said running a hand through her hair.
"So do I, had you ever really been happy before?"
"Not really," He said.
"Well as incredibly sad as that is, at least you're happy now. Everyone deserves that."
So, Katniss hates Katniss hates Kawino because she doesn't trust him. Yeah, should have seen that coming. Ria and Kawino got together though and for the moment Kawino is happy, another new thing for him. Next is the interviews, one of the biggest parts of this story, so stay tuned! Review!
