Chapter 3: Meet ups.
Gokedera rushed down to the kitchens, busting open the door and yelling out, "Yo, baseball freak! Juudaime needs some food, what have you got?" He looked around the room and saw Takeshi eating at the counter, a big spread of sushi laid out. He was wearing a plain looking suit and his bloodstained sword was leaning against the table, indicating he had just returned from a mission.
The tall blackhaired man grinned and waved at Gokedera. "Hey Hayato! I made sushi, you can take that to Tsuna."
Gokedera nodded and reached for the sushi, picking it up and turning to leave. The black haired man's hand grabbed his arm as he was turning around and asked in a low voice.
"How is Tsuna today? Is he any better?"
Gokedera stiffened and glared at the baseball lover. "What the fuck do you think, idiot."
Takeshi frowned and leaned over to whisper to the silver haired man.
"You know it can't go on like this, it's tearing him apart. We have to find out who or what Tsuna is blaming for this whole incident. Or for that matter…what suddenly changed him so dramatically."
"You don't think I know that?" Gokedera spat back fiercely. "I'm his right hand man, I can figure it out. You aren't needed for this sort of thing."
"Gokedera. You can't seriously expect-"
"Shut up, baseball freak." Gokedera ripped his arm away from Takeshi and quickly walked towards the door, leaving the black haired man mid sentence and unhappy. He walked down the hallway swiftly, taking sharp turns in the maze like mansion trying to lose himself from the other before he caught back up. That didn't last long though as he heard footsteps running after him. He turned quickly a few more times, trying to throw Takeshi off. After on particular turn, he found himself face to face with Takeshi. The black haired man opened his mouth to say something, but Gokedera was having none of that and ran away from him again without a second glance. At first he didn't hear any footsteps behind him and sighed in relief, not slowing up his pace though. Soon though, he heard fast footsteps approaching, growled in frustration and turned around, glaring.
"Don't follow me! I'm taking this to Juuidaime! Stop chasing after me you freak and get back to your job!" He shouted at his pursuer. "Now fuck off!" He accompanied the last response by flipping the bird. He humphed and turned back around away from the startled man in front of him, walking with a purpose away.
"Huh? What did I do to the EXTREME? I noticed your energy in training and decided to join in your EXTREME afternoon run through the mansion!" The voice shouted after him. Gokedera paid no mind and climbed the stairs back up to Tsuna's room, knocking sharply. A brief pause followed before a cheerful voice called out.
"Come on in Gokedera!"
Gokedera opened the door, surprised at Tsuna's sudden mood change. He grinned when he saw Tsuna sitting at the table, smiling brightly, it had been forever since he had seen him so happy.
"Juudaime I'm glad you're better now!" He laughed and put the tray down, not noticing the brief twitch in annoyance at being called Juudaime, which just as quickly turned back into a blinding smile.
Tsuna quickly stood up and motioned for Gokedera to sit down before walking over to the door and glancing back. Gokedera was staring at him, waiting. Tsuna lifted up his arms and waved at Gokedera.
"Oh don't mind me, go ahead and eat, I'll be right there! Try that tea, I made it for you while you were gone."
Gokedera's eyes widened and he picked up a little blue cup, taking a sip of the tea, his eyes welling up. "Juudaime made tea just for me! You didn't have to do that, I'm so honored!"
Tsuna smiled widely, tilting his head happily. "Oh but I did Gokedera, I really did." He gripped the door handle and swung it shut, dropping to a malicious whisper. "And how many times do I have to say it's Tsuna?"
