Last sentence of chapter 2:"Why did you do this?" this time it was harder to motion.

"The man who funded our research was mean, he would do anything kill anyone to get what he wanted. He wanted to find a way to live longer, one of these body switching. Well if any of the scientists tried to run we would get tracked down and killed. We were scared. Fear can make someone do something you think you will never do. When we saw you we jumped at the chance. We thought that he would let us go after we finished his dirty work. He hired us and blackmailed us. Once you came in the entire group scientist jumped at the chance, including me. I had immediate regret. I had taken a child's life and turned it upside down. I took action found out when you would hatch used the override code to stop the cameras then taken you out here. I brought your bag to get personal thing." He said. He began to lay out things from my back pack. The map my brother gave me, the scarf my mother gave me, and finally a letter my father sent me while he was far off in Hoenn. I instantly picked those things. I nuzzled over them and he thought for a second then carefully folded the scarf and placed the letter and note between the fold. He tied it around my neck. I started to walk off, but another face plant.

"You're doing it wrong," he said. "Pick up your back legs a bit faster."I quickly improved, but fell again.

"How bout I take you to the end of Newbark's gate many trainers camp out there their first night." He said with a hollow smile. I nodded and he picked me up and placed me in the truck. I sat in the passenger's seat.

"A few things," Darren said. "You need to take it slow. If you get a trainer don't jump into battle you need to wait at least a day to adapt and gain strength," Big knot in my neck, I forgot I had to battle. We had pulled up to the gate of Newbark. Darren walked around to the side door and opened it. I jumped out.

"Good luck." He said got in the truck started the engine waved bye and was gone. It was at least midnight I knew. I could hardly see so I just found a place curled up and fell to sleep.

The next morning I heard something that woke me up. I slowly raised my head opening my eyes. When I looked up a truck was coming beeping its horn. I sleep in the middle of a road! First, instinct was to run I couldn't stop even if I wanted to. Getting up I fell I forgot I was a Eevee. I panicked tried to get back up I just couldn't. I was right in line with the wheel the truck slammed its breaks. It wouldn't stop fast enough. Someone quickly picked me up jumped out of the way of the truck and hit the ground. I didn't look up I was curled into a ball still scared, I guess it was instinct.

"It's ok, I won't hurt you," someone said. I knew who this was I uncurled. Exactly, Kathy was holding me in her arms. I felt pitiful and embarrassed. She sat me down, took out what seemed to be a pokedex which said, "Level 5 Eevee, encountered.

"You're the Eevee from yesterday," she sighed, "Guess you don't want to come she said. I'm out of poke balls anyway. She got up and began to walk. I followed, take what you get I told myself. She was probably the best trainer I'll find that will care about other things than just power. I followed it didn't take long for her to look back.

"Why are you following me?" she asked. "Do you want me to be my trainer?" I nodded.

"I'll have to manually capture you with no poke ball but since it's your will it should work." She said. She took out her pokedex. It scanned me, and then started talk. "Eevee registered under Kathy, would you like to nickname?"

"Yes," Kathy said. "How about Seth?" I nodded I liked the name always have and I guess it would have to do. While she entered the name, I took a look around and noticed she had a poke gear and a poke ball on her belt. As she finished up we began to walk I tripped and Kathy noticed immediately.

"You're only a day old, want me to carry you?" She asked. I shook no, I had to learn sometime. I hated being dependant. We walked on for about a hour, I lost track. I noticed a few pokemon looking at me. I tripped again. Kathy instantly picked me up. I struggled but she held on. I finally gave. She petted me which was kind of annoying.

We stopped an hour or two later we sat down. It was 6pm I could tell by Kathy's poke gear. Kathy ate lunch while I sat waiting, hungry.

"You hungry?" She asked. I nodded. She looked through her backpack. Pulled out a bottle full of milk and a small cup the poured the bottled milk in the cup and I walked over and started drinking.

"You can't eat real food till the end of the week." She said. "I think we will camp here tonight and get a good start in the morning." When I was finished she laid out a sleeping bag and I walked over to her back pack and slept near it. I didn't want to sleep by myself because it was cold.

Kathy frowned. "Where did you get that scarf?" I nodded. No use to try to talk.

"Oh yeah, you can't talk," She said." Want to sleep on the end of my sleeping bag?"I didn't want to I was a restless sleeper and would wake her so I shook no plus I'd rather sleep by myself.

"You know everyone has to have help sometimes," she said and fell to sleep. I really don't care I told myself. I lay in a corner, cold falling to sleep.

Sharp pain in my mouth. I wanted to ignore it, but couldn't. It was morning, my body probably had started teething. It was a rude awakening. When the pain eased I decided to fall to sleep, but as soon as I lay down Kathy woke up. I got up; if I tried to fall to sleep I would have to wake up in a few minutes. She packed the sleeping bag while I sat and watched. The pain in my mouth began to return. I found a piece of wood and chewed on it. It numbed the pain. Once Kathy was done packing she looked down at me.

"Ready to go?" She asked. "Looks like your teething."I nodded, and we began walking. After about ten minutes we ran into a wild pidgey. It was eating berries a tree.

Kathy looked down. "Ready to spar?" I nodded better now than when we run into an actual trainer. I walked in front of Kathy ready for her command. "Seth, use tackle." I had forgot my nickname and hesitated. I swear if she ever finds out who I am I'm changing it. Suddenly I knew what to do I didn't have to remember it just came to mind. I started running towards the pidgey. I was running pretty fast.

"What?" the pidgey looked in surprised. I was surprised I had understood it.

"Nothing personal," I said and made contact. I looked at her she had her pokedex out.

"Great, you got it down to half health." She said. The pidgey used the same attack I used before. It hit, it hurt a bit but I was able to get back up. It didn't hurt too badly.

"One more time, Seth tackle!" Kathy said. I ran toward to the pidgey. I made contact right on its chest. It looked woozy after the attack and fainted. "Awesome Seth, you grew a level." I walked over to the berry tree the pidgey was eating from grabbed a berry with my muzzle. I walked over and put it into the pidgey's mouth. We couldn't just leave it there fainted. It slowly revived. It looked at me and Kathy and flew away.

"Ready to go again?" She asked. I began to follow her to Cherrygrove. I ran into about three more pidgeys that day. I grew to level eight and learned sand-attack. Cyndy had battled two pidgeys and a sentrent. She was level nine. The day passed on and it was about seven o' clock. When we saw the gates of Cherrygrove in our site I ran, I just wanted to rest I was sleepy. Once I reached the gates I had to wait for Kathy and Cyndy, who seemed to want to stay out so Kathy didn't oppose. Once they caught up we walked into town looking for the pokemon center. Kathy kept saying it was around the corner looking at her pokenav, but I was convinced we were lost. Finally, we asked someone.

Kathy walked up to an old woman and asked, "Excuse me, where is the pokemon center?"

The old woman looked at Kathy then at me. "Would you like me to show you?"

"Yeah, please," Kathy said. We followed the old lady. We went around a few twists and turns and finally reached the pokemon center. We began to walk in when the old lady stopped us.

"You can have this," she said and handed Kathy a bell. "It's a soothe bell it will help a pokemon's friendship grow with you.

"Thank you; I know who we need to put this on." Kathy said and kneeled down and tied it around my neck over my scarf. Oh yeah, like I'm really that bad and we walked in. Kathy had me and Cyndy healed. We walked up to the trainer's lounge. Some centers didn't have one but most did. We all sat down on the couch. I was drinking milk in a bowl, Cyndy was eating pokechow and kathy was eating some shrimp and mini rice cakes.

"Hi." Cyndy said. My name is Cyndy, what's yours?" I already knew her name from when I hatched.

"My name is Ca- I mean Seth." I said. Probably shouldn't tell anyone yet. The T.V. started flashing.

"Live breaking News," It boomed. "Boy's body found dead in Newbark. It seemed to be decaying by the time it was discovered. Scientists believe it was a falling tree which was found over the boy. The boy was identified as Caleb Smith." I cursed, Cyndy looked at me. What the heck was that lab up to? I was frustrated. Kathy got up and went to her room probably not wanting to see videos of dead bodies. No one must have noticed the road burn yet or if they had the News probably haven't found out. Then it hit me big time, I probably wouldn't see my family again. Tears flowed out of my eyes. I can't believe I was crying but I was. Cyndy noticed something was up but didn't want to upset me. I walked over to the front of the door to Kathy's room and cried even more. I had just noticed something obvious and was crying a river. I wanted to yell but there was no use. It was raining outside with occasional thunder. I silently whimpered, till I was tired and fell to sleep.
