Ella's P.O.V

I look behind me and see a young man walking out of the woods with a dead bird on a string. He had curly black hair and blue eyes. There is a tingling in the air that feels familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on where I had sensed it before. Radnor moves his sword away and the boy says "Shouldn't we leave it to the Lady Morgana to decide their fate?" I feel my stomach drop and I just want to curl up into a ball and cry. Instead of a quick death, we were going to be taken to Morgana. Radnor reluctantly laughs and agrees. The young man helps Arthur up while briefly looking at and says "You don't remember me, do you?" Arthur looks confused while Merlin looked at him suspiciously. The boy looks directly at me and says "You saved my life once, many years ago."

I look from behind Merlin as he whispers "Mordred." The boy smirks and says "Hello Arthur." As he said this he was staring at me and I feel weird. As Arthur and Merlin are led away by the slavers I feel Mordred put his hands on my shoulders. I tense up and whisper "Mordred..." He whispers in my ear "It's nice to see you again Ella." I sigh and say, "If only it was under better circumstances." I walk to join the other slaves alongside Arthur and Merlin. One of the other slavers comes and ties my hand up while linking the rope to the other people who were being taken as slaves. As the slavers start to move towards Ismere I start to walk alongside Merlin and Arthur towards Morgana and our deaths.

I didn't know how long I had been walking but it must have been a few hours as it was getting dark. I pull my arms close to my chest and try to not freeze to death. The other slaves were pale with pink lips and the way they acted it seemed like they had already faced death. If I continued to stay in the cold I would meet the same fate as them. Radnor signals everyone to stop and says "We will stop here for tonight. Build a fire!" I softly sigh in relief. I could get a small amount of sleep before I freeze to death.

I sit next to Arthur and Merlin on the ground and look up at the sky. The stars were out tonight and looking up at them was calming, like it was healing my mind and soul. The slavers were talking and eating bread. I glance towards Merlin and see him look with longing towards the bread. I telepathically whisper "Merlin, don't!" Radnor sees him staring at the pieces of bread they had. "What are you gawping at? Is this what you want? Catch."

The men laugh as Merlin looks longingly at the bread that Radnor throws into the snow. I lie down in the snow and hear Merlin in my head "Do you want us to starve to death?" I ignore him and turn around to look at the fire. The cold was spreading across my body and I could almost not feel my hands. As the night progresses most of the men go to sleep but once in a while one of them gets up to guard the camp. Once in a while, the men would walk close by and I would close my eyes and hope that they will just leave me alone.

After a while, I see Mordred was the only one awake and I watch him tend to the fire and watch me and the other slaves. After he finished checking on the others he comes over to me, so I sit up and just look at him. He pulls out some bread from under his furs and holds out a piece of bread.

"Take it. It may be your only chance to eat." I take the bread and whisper "Thank you." He sits next to me and I gasp when he grabs my hand and I realize just how cold I was. "You're freezing Ella."

I shiver and briefly see his eyes glow gold then a tingle of heat starts to spread from my hands to my body. Mordred and I look at each other and I could still see the little druid boy that I helped look after 9 years ago. "I missed you," I whisper as I look away and feel my face heat up.

Mordred strokes my hand and smiles "I missed you too." I sigh and feel the fear come back as a tear falls down my cheek. I pull my hand away and whisper "W-what will happen to me?" I whisper as I put my head between my knees. I feel him put his hand on my back to calm me as he softly whispers "Nothing will happen to you. I won't let anyone hurt you." I lean against him and squeak "Promise?" Mordred holds my hands and whispers"I promise."

Mordred's P.O.V

As Ella sleeps I look over at her from the campfire and smile. She was beautiful now as she was back when we first met. She was the one who healed me in Camelot and warned my druid camp of the knights coming to the camp. Emrys was the one who led them to the camp. We have been separated since then but I have never forgotten what she had done for me.When we get to Ismere I will keep Ella with me and try to protect her from Morgana and maybe help her, Merlin and Arthur get back to Camelot.
