Alright. Wow it's been a long time. I'm so sorry, man you all must hate me. Anyway, hope you all still come and support this story. I had horrid writers block and just now got back into it.
Well don't mind my chit chattting, please enjoy this chapter and another is on the way!
"Alright listen for your name!" yelled the gym teacher. He had an increasing bald spot in the middle of his head and his receding hairline didn't help. His teeth were crooked and his front two teeth protruded out. He was a large man and wore a red jogging suit.
Emil only glanced at him before he turned his attention to Mathias who also had gym with him. He looked around the mixed class that sat on the bleachers outside in the early morning sun. He glanced over every face vaguely bothering to remember them when his light violet eyes stopped for a moment on Sadiq who grinned widely at him, Emil only looked away unphased.
Sadiq frowned when he noticed Mathias glaring at him. "Tsk…" he mumbled as he raised his hand at the sound of his name. His eyes looked down at his sneakers that were set on the steel bleachers that creaked at every movement. He sighed knowing he wasn't allowed near Emil, well that's what Lukas has told him. Of course Sadiq was a senior and Emil just a sophomore, but that was beside the point here. He always thought of himself as a patient and kind person, he didn't understand why Lukas was so mad nor why the others get mad at him.
Well maybe he does, and maybe just doesn't want to admit it. He slightly pouted at the thought, but then slightly smirked. Last year he was caught trying to seduce Emil. Although he hadn't gotten very far due to Lukas very rude interruption, even then he was with his little gang. He looked up at the green football field. He didn't see why they had to resort to such extreme violence, it wasn't like he was raping him. Emil did seem to be enjoying it and although he pushed him away at first, he ended up submitting. He grinned thinking of the cute little squeaks and moans the little Icelandic made as he so nicely seduced him. Of course as soon as Lukas got there he got his ass kicked by Berwald and Mathias. He slouched at the thought and rubbed the back of his neck when all too familiar presence was felt. He looked up to see Hercules and he growled slightly to himself.
"Oh great, I have this class with you." He yawned in his sleepy voice which he had almost all the freakin time and annoyed the hell out of Sadiq. Sadiq loathed him, and Hercules felt the same, yet they spend more time together than regular friends.
Sadiq growled as he sat near him and looked away as he dozed off again. He turned and looked across from him to see a small boy sitting by himself. He had short black hair and had emotionless eyes. He sat perfectly still as the wind swayed his hair to cover his eyes slightly. Of course he recognized the small cutie as Kiku. He was about to wave to him when someone so rudely blocked his view.
Alfred smiled as he sat by Kiku and Kiku only glanced at him. "Hey!" he smiled nudging him a bit. "You never talk to me anymore!" he said a bit too loudly for Kiku as he winced away a bit.
"Please don't talk so loud, Alfred," he said and sighed a bit.
Alfred nodded as he lowered his voice, "You never talk to me anymore!" he said in a loud whisper. He chuckled a bit as he got Kiku to look at him.
"Why are you talking to me, I thought I wasn't cool enough for you." Kiku retored and then looked away from him.
Alfred sat in shock, "Who told you that bullshit!" he said raising his voice again. Kiku winced.
"Just stop it," Kiku said sighing and tried to focus on a small white butterfly that crept past him up on the bleachers.
"Well?" Alfred said nudging him again. "I don't know who told you that, but they are lying out of their ass. I would never say that, especially about one of the best people I know. You so aren't boring, for pete sakes you speak Japanese, not many people speak that language," he chuckled. If Alfred had to be honest with himself, which he usually was, he had to admit he was completely captivated by Kiku. He was so different from him in every way and yet they were able to become friends. Sure Kiku was one year older than him, but he still really wanted to be friends with such an interesting guy.
Kiku looked at him, now a hint of interest in his eyes. "Really….you mean it?" he asked him. Alfred nodded and smiled.
"Why would I need to lie to you?"
Emil had watched the small exchange between the two and then turned his eyes back up toward the small white butterfly that fluttered near him. He stared as the wings seemed almost transparent in the gleaming sunlight. He felt his heart begin to beat faster just at the sight of the small creature. He felt the same exact way like when he was near Leon. He felt like he was breathless and simply couldn't breathe. He quickly looked away when Mathias pulled on his shirt as the class was moving inside the main building. He followed quietly and after the butterfly disappeared he felt as if he could breathe again. He didn't know what it was about that butterfly, or Leon, that made him feel that way. Perhaps it was because of the strange dreams, or maybe just his desire for him. He stopped at the thought and shuddered on the inside a bit. Wanting him? How could he even think that? He barely even knew the guy. Of course, it didn't feel like that at all.
Leon sat at the table with four of the most annoying people he has ever met. An uptight Brit, A perverted Frenchman, An oblivious Spaniard, and a cranky Italian. He sighed leaning on his hand and looked around the large home etc. classroom. "Alright everybody, today we will start off with something sweet to sweeten up our school year!" said the teacher in an annoying happy tone. "Everybody with your table groups please make your way to the small stoves placed at the walls of the classroom." He got up with the group of four other guys as the teacher passed out papers instructing the class on how to make rice crispy treats. Leon was handed the paper as he looked over it and already he could hear the bitter argument between the uptight Brit, Arthur, and the cranky Italian, Lovino.
"You're just going to burn down the fucking school again." Lovino hissed at Arthur who glared back at him. "Puro idiota,' he whispered lowly in Italian.
Francis and Antonio were chuckling about another friend they had and what they did last weekend. Leon simply sighed and looked at the clock, he had another hour stuck with these idiots. He began to do as the instructions told him to do. He turned on the stove and took some butter putting it on low heat and let the butter melt slowly onto the pan. The rest of the group didn't notice his actions.
"I'm telling you, mon ami, you have to ask. You can't be afraid, or else someone else might take him." Francis said as he glanced over at Lovino.
Antonio chuckled, "I know, I know…I'm getting to it." He said and looked away his face a bit red as his lips curled into a tense smile. "I…just need the right time to do it…is all."
Francis frowned, "If you keep waiting for "the right time", you'll never do it." He said and sighed looking as Antonio shifted his weight to one side.
"Amigo, ya se, es que…" he always started to talk in Spanish when he got nervous. He cleared his throat and looked down, "What if he doesn't like me back? Or…what if I'm rejected?" He stared at his untied shoelaces like the answer would suddenly pop out to him, but of course they didn't.
"Mon ami, if fear is the only thing holding back, then you are not Antonio."
Antonio snapped his head up to look at him bewildered, "Que?!"
Francis lips curled into a smile tucking a piece of blond hair behind his ear, "The Antonio I know, isn't afraid of anything. Not even get in the arena with a 1,000 pound bull charging at him full force." He chuckled. He saw a small smile begin to form on Antonio's lips. "I remember the first time Gilbert and I went to go see you in the large arena. Gilbert wanted to go in there, but you surprised the both of us." Francis personally thought that bull fighting was a sickening sport, but Antonio seemed pretty proud of it and so he said nothing only wishing to stay friends with him. "The way you move in the ring is like any other Antonio. Just think of it that way, except you won't be killing Lovino." He chuckled.
Antonio seemed to ponder at the idea and then nodded, "I think I know what you mean amigo." He felt a bit more confident now as he looked over at Lovino and Arthur bickering still. "Dime," he suddenly said as Francis looked at him, tearing his gaze from Arthur, "What gave you the courage to ask?"
Francis blinked for a moment processing the question before his gaze became soft, his eyelids lowering. "That's a good question." He said lightly chuckling. "I suppose it has to do with the way he smiles, or the way he frowns when he pouts, or maybe just his eyebrows." He chuckled and Antonio did as well.
Suddenly the oven dinged grabbing the others attention. Emil pulled out the tray of hot rice crispy treats and let it cool on a cooling tray. Lovino looked at him and then laughed, "Look Arthur, even a sophomore is a better cook than you."
Arthur growled in turn, "Shut up you twat. I can cook just fine." Lovino looked away making a gagging noise. Arthur turned to him, "I've had just enough of your dam teasing, if you want to go, let's go." He said in a low voice and grabbed Lovino's collar.
Lovino smirked, "Bring it on, you won't last a second with me." He said his eyes narrowing a glimmer of darkness in them.
"Oi, stop that." Antonio said in his light tone pulling Lovino away who only moved away from him. Francis grabbed Arthur by the waist pulling the two apart as they continued to mad dog each other. Leon, who was quite entertained, was munching on a piece of hot rice crispy. He wondered if he should save some for Emil. The two kept bickering as the teacher said it was time to clean up.
Leon saw this as a chance to get away and quickly grabbed a bigger piece of the rice crispy and slipped out of class. It was just five minutes until the lunch bell and he walked through the hallways wondering what class Emil had. He was busy munching on the small piece he was eating when he suddenly stopped bumping into someone and dropped his small piece. He looked at it and frowned slightly but looked up at who he bumped into.
Lukas looked at Leon, with a distasteful look. He realized it was the same guy Emil kept hanging out with and sitting on the bus with. He frowned at him and then his eyes narrowed. "What do you think you're doing?"
Leon blinked, he was slightly confused at the question, "I'm, like, going to lunch." He replied and still held the piece of rice crispy in the napkin. He knew Lukas was Emil's older brother and wondered why he was always glaring at him.
Lukas growled realizing he was thorough enough with his question and he stepped closer toward him. His foot crushing the small piece of rice crispy on the floor. "I mean, what are you doing with Emil? Are you some sick pervert?"
Leon was very offended by the accusation, but of course just kept a blank stare. "I'm not a pervert," he simply replied and started to walk away.
Lukas was not pleased at all, he gripped Leon's arm just as the bell rang for lunch. "Stay away from him, understand?" he growled lowly.
Leon looked at him then at his hand. He didn't appreciate his tone, nor his touch. He pulled his arm away, "I'll talk to him if I like. Don't tell me what to do," he said and turned away when he suddenly saw Yao. He was walking toward them, fuming.
"What do you think you're doing aru!?" he shouted toward Lukas. Before either of the other two knew he was already standing between Leon and Lukas. "Don't touch my little brother." He warned in a low voice.
Lukas scoffed looking at him with emotionless eyes, "He needs to stay away from Emil."
Yao glared, "Then tell Emil to stay away from him."
"I will."
While the two older brother bickered, Leon noticed Emil slowly approaching the two. He walked away from the two brothers who kept glaring at one another toward him. He felt his heart race and tried to fight the rising blush in his cheeks. He didn't know why he always felt like this just by seeing him, or even thinking about him. He swallowed the lump in his throat and fought to keep the emotionless gaze, which was frankly no longer a battle, but a war.
Emil was quite confused seeing his brother, Yao, and Leon all in the same place. Wait. Leon? He felt his heart skip a beat and found his feet picking up the pace a bit as he got closer to him. He realized he was holding something in his hands folded neatly in a small napkin.
They stopped right in front of each other, both fighting to keep the blush that wanted to keep up and take over their faces. Leon was the first to move, he dropped the folded napkin into Emil's hands.
Emil at first didn't know how to react, but the napkin was warm. He looked at Leon, then back down unfolding the napkin to find the rice crispy treat. He raised an eyebrow not expecting that.
"I made it in class…I thought maybe, you'd like…want some." Leon said looking at Emil's expression change from surprised to bashful. Emil had let in and the blush over took his face, as he murmured a thank you.
Lukas and Yao both glared at them as they saw the small exchange. Almost in a despicable unison to the both they walked over toward the pair. Lukas pulled on Emil's collar almost causing him to drop the sweet treat. Yao pulled on Leon's ear pulling him back.
"Don't talk to him." They said in unison to their little brothers and they glared at each other for a moment before turning back to them.
Emil was confused and stared at his brother, the blush disappearing. "What are you talking about?" he pushed his hand off. "You're acting weird again," he said and stepped away from his brother.
Leon looked at Yao a bit annoyed. He pushed his hand off, "Can you like not." He said and rolled his eyes at him. He seriously didn't know what they thought what was going to happen. He suddenly felt his wrist being pulled on and he saw a very red-faced Emil pulling on his wrist. He followed a small quick smile pulled at his lips.
Emil kept walking pulling on his wrist as they walked out into the front garden of the school. He was angry at Lukas, why would he be so mean to Leon? What did he do to him? If anything Leon has been nothing but sweet to him. He couldn't understand and just sighed out annoyed at his brother.
Leon stopped walking causing Emil to look back at him. They were already far from the rest of the crowd and he sighed sitting down on the dying grass. "I'm sorry." He spoke quietly looking at the treat that he set on his lap. Leon sat down quietly setting his bag down on the grass and looked at him. Emil quietly broke the large piece into two and handed a piece to Leon who took it thanking him quietly.
"What was that all about?" Leon asked after a while of it being quiet.
Emil shrugged, "Older brothers being annoying," the both of them chuckled.
Just then a small white butterfly crossed their path. It landed quietly on a small white flower in the shape of a bell and it stayed, its wings moving slightly. Leon reached over and the butterfly fluttered away as he picked the small flower handing it to Emil. He stared at it and then took it. Their fingers touching again and both of them stopped and stared at each other.
Both felt paralyzed and neither could breathe. Emil felt his lips trembling his eyes tracing down to stare at Leon's and his body began to tremble a bit. His eyelids drooped down over his eyes and he leaned closer toward him, Leon doing the same. Their faces were so close, just enough for each of them to feel the breath of the other.
Leon suddenly pushed Emil back and he scooted back as well as a soccer ball flew right in between them. Emil eyes widened seeing going just inches from their faces.
"Ah! Sorry!" came a loud Italian accented voice. Emil looked up to see Lovino's twin, Feliciano. He watched him run in between him and Leon as he chased after the ball with incredible speed.
"That's why I tell you not to kick it so hard, Feliciano," said a loud rough accented voice. Emil turned to see Ludwig, also captain of the wrestling team.
"Ah, sorry Ludwig…" Feliciano said and looked at Emil curiously, "Oh Emil!" he smiled going over toward him. "I didn't see you there," he chuckled a bit, "How is Tino? Is he still going to do soccer this year?" he asked and Emil nodded.
Leon sat there listening quietly listening to their conversations. He learned that Emil had a cousin in Soccer by the name of Tino, and a two friends in wrestling, Berwald and Mathias. He wondered what they were like as Ludwig also began to talk to with him about wrestling and he sighed slightly.
Emil looked at him, "Oh, sorry did I interrupt something?" Feliciano asked looking between the two of them and noticed how close they sat together.
"No." Emil said quickly, "We were just enjoying lunch," he said and looked down at his complete sandwich.
"Right," Ludwig said looking between them. "Come on, we only have a few minutes left of lunch." He started to walk away and Feliciano waved at them saying goodbye as him and Ludwig walked hand in hand.
Leon watched them and stood up, Emil followed suit but neither of them looked at each other. "How…how did you know the ball was coming toward us?" he asked quietly.
Leon shrugged and picked up his contents and then they started to walk back toward class. As they walked the same small white butterfly crossed their paths. Both noticed it and their eyes followed to the small flower it landed on. Emil smiled a bit picking up the flower the butterfly sat on and studied it for a moment. "You like flowers?" Leon asked after some time of watching him study the flower.
Emil looked at him and quickly slipped the pocket in his pocket, "No. The flower just reminds me of something." He answered quietly and looked away from Leon whose eyes smirked smugly at him.
Emil's face was burning, "Sent…to find me?" he repeated looking at the young man before him. He swallowed, barely noticeable, and suddenly was pushed the man named Leon. He looked back to see Terje and Ival smiling at him and shaking their eyebrows. But even before the Icelandic could protest there was a hand around his waist and he was already being pulled to the dance floor. He stiffened almost immediately, "You really don't have to," he said trying to pull away but Leon was stronger than he looked.
"Don't worry it's just a simple dance, no need to be afraid." Leo said as the music began to play up. They were facing each other and bowed following the music with each step they took. Both looking as graceful as the other.
"What are you playing at here?" Emil asked as they swayed together to the music.
"Playing?" Leon repeated looking at the smaller man and raised an eyebrow. "I don't understand what you mean?"
"Obviously you're my brothers guest, and I assume that over there is your older brother." He nodded his head toward Yao who seemed engaged in a conversation with his brother. "You said you were "sent" to find me. Could it be that it was your brother who sent you?"
Leon said nothing for a moment looking at him with emotionless eyes. "You're a sharp one." He muttered after a while and then escorted him off of the dance floor.
"So I was right…" Emil rolled his eyes a bit annoyed that he was just being used to get closer to his brother.
"Do you have a more private place we could talk?" Leon asked seeing as it started to get loud once again in the large ballroom.
Emil hesitated to being alone with the stranger but despite what he felt he nodded. He led him to the empty balcony where it overlooked the large courtyard. The air was warm and thick smelling of summer that was just around the corner. The trees were tall and full of green leaves that swayed in the gentle breeze. The scene was relaxing and seemed like a different world from the one inside. "Is there a reason you were sent to find me?" Emil asked not looking at Leon, not sure he was going to like the answer anyway. He stared down to see small children running around and dancing to the music inside, he smiled slightly at their silliness.
"Not really, my brother just wanted me to make your acquaintance." Leon replied watching a small group of kids who were by a flower bed picking small, white, bell-shaped flowers and stuffing them in their pockets. "What are those children doing?" he asked quietly.
Emil looked over at where he was looking at and chuckled. "It's the summer solstice tonight, and there is a small myth grandmothers tell their grandchildren. It really is ridiculous, so I never tried it, " he looked at them as the small girls ran around squealing and giggling about the flowers they picked.
"What's the myth about?" Leon asked his interest peaked as he looked at the girls at well. He leaned on the railing wondering why on earth they would want to collect flowers during the summer solstice.
"They say if you place flowers underneath your pillow, you will dream about your future spouse." He said quietly and sighed out remembering how his own grandmother used to tell such tall tales. Although his brother would swear that it worked. He would never know, he never tried.
"Have you ever tried it?" Leon asked wondering if it actually worked.
"Me? No, I never believed in that kind of thing, it was always my brothers thing." He said and yawned a bit looking away.
Leon turned to look at him, his eyes seemed to smile and laugh a bit, "You never know though, it might actually work."
Emil woke up sitting straight up in bed. He was breathing hard again and gripped his blanket. He jumped hearing his puffin shuffle in his cage. He quickly turned to look at his clock, it was one in the morning, again. He whined out laying back down and grabbing the pillow covering his face. It was going to be another long night and he wasn't going to enjoy it. He suddenly felt something underneath his head. It felt like he smoothed it and he reached behind his head toward the small thing. He picked it up and sat up again turning on his bedside lamp. The light of the lamp shined on the squished small white, bell-shaped flower. His thumb ran over it gently and his mouth hung open slightly his heart racing. His face went red and he stared at as the small white butterfly passed the window outside.
Okay..so not one of my best chapters, but hope you all enjoyed it. And leave a review if you like, it would really help to see what I need to fix, thanks!:)
