Wendy silently crept to the ruin of what had once been her home, today was the anniversary of when the bomb had fallen. The only reason that she was alive was that she had staid over at a friends and when the bomb sirens had started to go off she had raced home only to find her home destroyed and all her family dead. Wendy sighed and knelt in front of the first cross, bowing her head and silently crying as she touched the tip of the cross that she had marked for her dad. Wendy moved down the line of crosses stopping at each one to shed a tear and recall some happier memories with each member of her family. Wendy took a deep but shaky breath and wiped the tears from her face as she stood up and looked at each cross before saying a mental goodbye until the next anniversary. She had started to leave when something made her look up at the second star to the right, her eye's widened when she saw it twinkle and something bright came shooting out of it. "Is that?... can it be?" Wendy questioned herself mentally. She hadn't spoken out-loud since that day. Wendy slid into the shadows, unsure how to feel about seeing Peter Pan again, after all of these years and everything that had happened. Wendy watched from the shadows as Peter started crying, she saw Tinkerbell coming over to where the crosses were and panicked. As Tinkerbell went to fly away Wendy quietly clapped both hands over top of her. Wendy could feel Tinkerbell trying to get out by any means necessary including what felt like Tinkerbell biting her hands, which thankfully were covered with black leather gloves.
"Tink. Tink where are you?" Peter called out flying overhead, Wendy jerked back into the shadows, her heart thumping out a panicked beat. "Wait why am I freaking out? I'm an adult now and I have been ever since that night. Just go out there and speak to him. After all it's not like I still love him or anything." Wendy thought to herself before giving a determined nod and stepping out of the shadows. "Peter!" Wendy called out mentally bracing herself for the look of horror that was sure to appear on Peters face once he saw her.
(PETERS PROV)
Peter felt tears stream down his face as he stared at the destruction of what had once been the home to all the people that he had cared for. After a couple of seconds Peter realized that Tinkerbell had left him and he couldn't see her light anywhere.
"Tink. Tink where are you?" Peter called out as he flew over the wreckage. Peter was halfway to the other side of the wreckage when he heard a female voice call his name from behind him.
