"They aren't in the garden"

Michael and Lucifer had taken a break from training to find their little friends. They had been talking about wanting to visit Earth for weeks now and they were going to surprise them y going down. But when they returned the fledglings were no where to be found, it had been hours since then and Michael was now pacing as the others flew and tried to find out if anyone had seen or knew where they had gone off to.

"They aren't in the armory"

Nobody really knew why they had started frequenting the armory, they thought it probably had something to do with Virgil but they were admittedly a little frightened to ask. Lucifer had returned with Raphael who had no luck in finding them anywhere either. Michael ran a hand through his hair. He, and probably his brothers as well, silently praying to father to keep them safe and protect them until they were found.

"You don't think they'd go down by themselves do you"

They all exchanged looks, while they had a good feeling Ezekiel wouldn't think about it, it was Elijah who they knew would. The little angel had taken to getting into more trouble then they had though was possible. Shouting, shouting is what got their attention. On of the planters who went to Earth almost daily was running towards them.

"E...Elijah and Ezekiel they went down to Earth. We just got back and I heard you have been looking for them. We didn't know it was them until they ran off. We can help you search if you like sir."

Michael nodded his head and soon all four archangels, all Earthly planters, and some soldiers were searching Earth. Every rock, tree, and creature but still no sign of the trouble makers. Worry was clear on all faces. They never disappeared for this long. This often happened, the two disappeared for a couple of hours but always came back before night fell. And night was beginning to fall over Earth and there was still no sign of the two.

Sir I have them in sight

All four archangels were soon in the air and heading fast in the direction of the voice. They came upon the clearing and found their little runaways trying to get out of the hold the planter had on each wing. Michael wasted no time in grabbing them, checking for injury, and throwing both over his knee raining smacks on the behinds. Elijah and Ezekiel yelped and squirmed trying to get free but were held by four over protective yet angry graces. He hated this, having to punish the babies of their family like this because he knew it hurt, but it was the only way they learned apparently. When Michael was finished tanning both little bottoms the fledglings were left a sobbing mess over his lap. Someone grabbed Ezekiel from his place over the eldest lap and cradled him their arms. Lucifer ran a hand through the downy twilight feathers and cooed at the little fledgling. Ezekiel eventually calmed himself and wrapped his arms around the morning stars neck.

Michael picked Elijah up gently and wiped away stray tears with his thumb. He hated making Eli cry, it broke his heart every time. While nothing bad had happened to the two, it didn't get rid of the chance something could. And that's why Michael, and the others, enforced the no Earth Alone rule with firm hands. These were literally the youngest angels in existence and if anything happened to them they wouldn't ever be able to forgive themselves.

"Eli if you wanted to visit Earth you could have asked"

Silence was his answer. Michael sighed. When they first got this charge it took weeks for them to finally get the fledgling to actually speak to them. Every time he was punished, which wasn't often mind you, he would give them the silent treatment (That's how it had been invented).

"Y-you were busy though"

Michael smiled as the little ones grace bumped his.

"Come one. Lets get our little runaways home"

Elijah curled up further in his arms and Michael took flight. Life was never boring with this one.

So what did you think! Like it!
